Anna Dello Russo's Four Looks In One Day

Following her head scratcher from the previous day, Anna Dello Russo was back on fine form taking to her playground with four separate looks in one day.

While you are saying “who’s got that kinda time?”, let’s dissect the looks.

Balenciaga: Anna kick-started her day wearing a leather Celine Pre-Fall 2013 mini dress styled with both the oversized Celine belt and the dual-colour lace-up flatforms that this look was styled with in the look book.  Adding her own creativity, she styled the look with a straw boater, a black clutch and a Lanvin ‘Happy’ gold necklace.

Balmain: For quick-change number two she wore a floral Valentino Fall 2012 flirty frock with contrasting white collar and cuffs.  This is my least favourite of the looks as it is far too twee for Anna.  She should leave this for the likes of Miroslava Duma.  Also, the styling doesn’t work for me.  Not the bag and especially not the shoes.

Lanvin: By nightfall, Anna really got into her stride.  She wore a head-to-toe perfect look, mixing a Lanvin Fall 2013 strapless butterfly-print dress with a contrasting black-and-nude ponyskin belt which I find really enticing.  Plus she went the distance adding an opulent necklace, a two-tone clutch and black strappy sandals.

Moncler Dinner: While most probably went from the Lanvin show to the Moncler party without passing ‘Go’, Anna nipped back to her hotel for her fourth and final look of the day.  Possibly saving the best for last, she put on her silver sparkling heels to dazzle partygoers in her fresh-off-the-runway Fendi Spring 2014 look, which featured a crystal-embroidered mini skirt and a sheer top with broken-effect red pieces.

The evening looks are preferred over the day looks.  I think I slightly favour the Lanvin over the Fendi, but only by half a per cent.

Anna Dello Russo In Gucci, Dsquared² & Celine - Milan Fashion Week Day 1

Anna Dello Russo attended three shows during the first day of Milan Fashion Week, so of course the editor gave us three fabulous wardrobe changes.

Gucci: Seated alongside Blake Lively, Anna wore a Gucci Made to Measure suit from Lapo Elkann’s capsule collection. The cream wool one-button tuxedo with contrasting black peak lapels and a white cotton pleated-front tuxedo shirt was styled with a sleek black silk bowtie, a pair of black velvet Gucci heels and Miu Miu Rasoir sunglasses. Anna works this menswear look so well. I am enamoured of every piece of the look – even the quirky bowtie and geeky glasses.

Dsquared²: For her second show of the day she changed into another suit, this time in black by Dsquared². Keeping the Miu Miu Rasoir glasses, she opted for a smaller bowtie on this occasion and leather shorts, with her chic carryon being a Valentino ‘Rockstud’ bag.

Alberta Ferretti: For her final show of the day Anna wore a Celine Fall 2013 light-grey cashmere clean-lined wool dress that hugged the waist and featured tied sleeves. Keeping both her glasses and clutch from DSquared2, she added yet another quirk via her Mohawk black sandals.

I have to say I adore all three looks, but the Celine has to be my favourite. What could’ve been a so-so look is enlivened by the accessories.

Rebecca Hall In Celine - 'Closed Circuit' New York Screening

Rebecca Hall attended the ‘Closed Circuit’ screening held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City yesterday evening.

The British actress wore a head-to-toe Celine look hailing from the Fall 2013 collection. We don’t see Celine often on the red carpet, so this is quite a treat.

Rebecca worked a navy-blue flannel skirt with an ink-blue (appearing black here) radzimir off-the-shoulder shrug with a slant at the sleeve.

The top half appears slightly complicated, but I think Rebecca pulls it off with ease.

Clutching a blue Celine bag, as carried by the runway model, Rebecca selected taupe boots over the much-preferred light-grey version seen on the runway.

To get a truer picture of the colour of the look, I have added some pictures in the gallery of Rebecca leaving Gemma Restaurant earlier in the day. Her Celine look is much better in the light and out of the dark screening room, don’t you agree?

Katy Perry In Celine - The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

Katy Perry made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to kick-start her promotion of her latest movie ‘The Smurfs 2′, in which she lends her voice to Smurfette.

For the first movie, Katy wore blue throughout the entire promo tour, and it looks like she is picking up where she left off, as she wore a blue Celine leather dress.

The short-sleeve loose-fit shift dress cut with impeccable precision and featuring subtle stitching was styled with a silver choker with sapphire stones and Christian Louboutin spiked pumps.

This is a great colour for Katy, but what I love most about this look is the minimalist makeup which provides a refreshing change.

Those of you who watched ‘The X Factor’ may remember that Khloe Kardashian wore the same dress during her presenting gig.

Gwei Lun-mei In Celine - 2013 Taipei Film Awards

Gwei Lun-mei attended the 2013 Taipei Film Awards in Taiwan on Saturday.

The Taiwanese actress wore a Celine Pre-Fall 2013 look consisting of a white long-sleeved top paired with black wide-leg trousers with a fold-over detail at the waist.

Opting to keep this look simple and minimalist, as intended by the designer, she added just white pumps.

On occasion I find minimalist looks kinda boring, but Gwei Lun-mei’s styling of the look – which thankfully didn’t include those black-and-white platforms, as worn by the model – totally wins me over.
