Naomi Watts In Balmain – ‘Demolition’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Naomi Watts In Balmain - 'Demolition' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Naomi Watts attended the opening night premiere of ‘Demolition’ during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.

It hasn’t been a great week for Naomi. First the David Koma disaster and now this.

I adored this nude Balmain Resort 2016 gown when it was presented, but Naomi breathes no life into it. She’s just overwhelmed with ruffles.

I don’t often say this, but I would love to see this repeated on the red carpet. Preferably by someone taller who won’t look so washed out.

Natalie Portman In Lanvin – ‘A Tale Of Love And Darkness’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Natalie Portman attended the ‘A Tale Of Love And Darkness’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at the Winter Garden Theatre on Thursday (September 10) in Toronto, Canada.

Following her Dior Couture look from the fundraising gala, the actress was an enchanting vision of perfection wearing a nude lace one-shoulder Lanvin gown custom-made by Alber Elbaz.

This image of arresting sophistication was enhanced by the dazzling details and Lanvin accessories which prevented this from feeling too one note, and too much like the numerous one-shoulder creations she has previously worn.

Topping off the look was a magenta lip which was an inspired choice.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture – 2015 Toronto International Film Festival Kick-Off Fundraising Soiree

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture - 2015 Toronto International Film Festival Kick-Off Fundraising Soiree

Natalie Portman attended the 4th annual festival kick-off fundraising soiree during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at TIFF Bell Lightbox on Wednesday (September 9) in Toronto, Canada.

The actress wore a printed silk chiffon Christian Dior Fall 2015 Haute Couture dress styled with a Dior Haute Couture gilet, Dior jewels, and a pink Dior clutch.

A cross between dainty garden fairy and embellished warrior princess, the floral-washed frock didn’t come without a certain level of charm in its feminine yet whimsical allure and flowing sleeve treatments.

However, the dark sandals were a bit of a mystery given the subdued, pastel colour palette.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some guys taking to the red carpet recently.

Ryan Reynolds: Blake Lively’s hubby was looking very sharp at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of his latest movie ‘The Voices’ on Thursday (September 11), where he joined his Miu Miu clad co-star Anna Kendrick. The actor wore a steely navy-blue head-to-toe Brunello Cucinelli look, opting to go sans tie and buttoning down his shirt. Even as someone who is not a huge fan of beards, I have to say this look is very distinguished on him.

Benjamin McKenzie: The actor joined Jada Pinkett Smith on the red carpet for the ‘Gotham’ premiere last night (September 15) wearing a Dior Homme dark-grey suit styled with a spotted tie with Jimmy Choo shoes and a Mont Blanc watch and tie-bar pin.

Josh Hutcherson: Opting for a classic Dior Homme black wool two-button peak-lapel suit, white cotton shirt, black silk tie, and black leather derbies to the ‘Escobar: Paradise Lost’ Toronto Film Festival premiere, the blazer doesn’t appear to fit too well. Perhaps he should’ve left it unbuttoned.

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – ‘Shelter’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 'Shelter' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Jennifer Connelly, much like fellow Louis Vuitton devotee Charlotte Gainsbourg, kept up her commitment to the French brand during the Toronto Film Festival while promoting her new movie, ‘Shelter’, on Friday (September 12), opting for two LBDs.

Photocall: The first was a photocall-appropriate Louis Vuitton textured top and corduroy skirt with a flounced hem. While I can see the chic-appeal this look is, I’m still feeling totally underwhelmed, much to my disappointment – I don’t believe I have ever put the words ‘Connelly’ and ‘underwhelmed’ in the same sentence.

Premiere: Shifting several gears, she went for sexy gothic glamour for the premiere, wearing another head-to-toe LV look. The intricate laser-cut lace overlay sets this apart from an average LBD, with white accessories elevating the look.

I wish these looks didn’t feel so similar, especially considering all that is available to her from this brand.
