Who Was Your Best Dressed At The 2017 CMA Awards?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

A trio of men caught our eye in recent days, as they made the rounds.

Niall Horan: Joining all the ladies at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee, Niall was on the red carpet before taking to the stage to perform with Maren Morris. His Advani London ensemble may have featured a decorative, metallic motif, but he made sure it wasn’t too contrived with his casually unbuttoned white shirt underneath.

Channing Tatum: At the ‘War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend’ premiere in LA on Monday (November 6), the actor suited up in a Burberry ensemble with a paisley tie. Tod’s loafers rounded out the polished look.

Tim McGraw: Also at the 2017 CMA Awards, Tim celebrated designer Tom Ford’s Texas roots by putting the western treatment on this ensemble. I love how sharp this luxe velveteen jacket looks in partnership with the perfectly tailored tuxedo trousers and his signature cowboy hat.

2017 CMA Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee were a glorious mix of colour, shine and eye-catching details.

Cam: Opting for back, the singer went for understated elegance in Tadashi Shoji. The rich velvet fabric was contrasted with sultry lace panels and cream trim. A different neckline might have worked more in her favor as this could read a bit too maturely for some.

Kellie Pickler: The singer and television personality struck a pose in an exuberant Pamella Roland Fall 2017 dress. Festooned with black and gold-green feathers, it presented a darker mood, but still had a flirty finish.

Kimberly Schlapman: The ‘Little Big Town’ singer’s signature blonde curls were juxtaposed with a sleek navy column dress. The mirrored clutch and belt enlivened the gown, but the gold choker didn’t have as much impact.

Lea Michele In Zuhair Murad – 2017 CMA Awards

Lea Michele joined Carrie Underwood, Ruby Rose, Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Deviating from the long, voluminous gown trend, ‘The Mayor’ actress selected a short and sassy Zuhair Murad Fall 2017 dress. The mini still had plenty of impact as it was decorated with ornate blue embroidery with tufts of black feathers accenting the waist and sleeves.

I can see the feathers proving to be divisive, but they brought a fun element to the long-sleeved dress. Plus, it’s a detail that the red carpet isn’t over-saturated with.

Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and EF Collection and Vardui Kara jewels finished off the flirty look.

Carrie Underwood In Fouad Sarkis Couture – 2017 CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood has a glamorous feminine aesthetic with her red carpet ensembles adding high-fashion flair to the favored country silhouettes. This was demonstrated once again at the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer wore a Fouad Sarkis Couture gown. I’m not sure whether I’m more struck by this royal blue colour against her complexion or the dramatic silhouette. Combined with the open neckline and ruffled sleeves, this is a striking ensemble that is certainly not lacking in glamour or refinement.

Butani sapphire and diamond earrings, a Hearts on Fire diamond ring and an Anabela Chan lab-grown blue sapphire ring brought out the rich colour of the gown.

Maren Morris In Francesco Scognamiglio – 2017 CMA Awards

Maren Morris attended the 2017 CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 8) in Nashville, Tennessee, alongside Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert and Faith Hill.

The singer was channeling a glamorous mood with her Francesco Scognamiglio Spring 2018 dress. Unfortunately, this didn’t come together as well as it could have.

The dress lacked no shortage of details from the sweetheart neckline with frill to the front slit, to the ruffled hem to the contrasting lace appliqués. Then she styled it with ornate silver shoes and multiple pieces of jewellery.

This would have been more successful if it was accessorised simply and the dress was modified to better showcase her. I would have liked to see this with a silver lining and with the slit removed.

Thoughts?
