Ines de la Fressange Loves Roger Vivier

Ines de la Fressange, model and Chanel muse in the 80s, has been attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival as one of the spokespersons for L’Oreal.

She was once included on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame and I can see why.

On the first day she wore a Carven Fall 2011 black gown for the opening ceremony.

The following day she wore a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 strapless eggplant satin gown with draping at the waist to attend the “Sleeping Beauty” Premiere.

Finally for the “Habemus Papam” Premiere she wore a Chanel Fall 2007 Couture dress.

Each look is very different, but she styled them all with Roger Vivier accessories.

First wearing black Vivier flat sandals, then gorgeous fuchsia pink flats and finally grey flats.

I love each of her shoe choices, but I wish she’d also made her clutch choices as interesting and varied as her footwear.

Blake Lively In Carven – WonderCon 2011

Blake Lively attended WonderCon 2011 yesterday, which is being held at the Moscone Center South in San Francisco, California.

When I saw her in this Carven open-front dress from the Spring 2011 collection I did chuckle.

I laughed because I know this will be yet another love it or hate it look.

I personally think she’s having a lot of fun with fashion, and that’s clearly showcased with this look.

She added a white bustier to her midnight-blue and black crepe open-front dress.

The dress has accentuated padded shoulders, short sleeves and a puffy skirt.

On this occasion I do love her two tone ankle strap Christian Louboutin Très Décolleté pumps, but I don’t love her hair as it looks really messy.

I’ve asked before, and I’m sure when it comes to Blake I will ask again.

Carven Fall 2011

Guillaume Henry’s Fall 2011 collection for Carven gives us a little bit of everything because it is made for real-life girls like you and I.

At the showroom yesterday I saw a modern collection of statement cocktail dresses, A-line skirts, cropped sweaters, adorable shorts, luxe wool coats with furry sleeves, sweater dresses, platform wedges, bags, suede cut-out boots, flared skirts and a tan leather jacket I must own before the end of 2011.

What stood out most were the plaid pieces. I especially loved the asymmetrical plaid top above which was paired with the burgundy skirt.

This collection is perfect for elegant girls about town in search of Parisian chic.

Guillaume Henry’s Carven collection is sold via Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

Alexa Chung In Carven – Carven Spring 2011 Collection Barney’s Launch

Alexa Chung was at Barney’s yesterday to join Carven designer Guillaume Henry who was showcasing his Spring 2011 Collection as the New York City store.

The British TV presenter wore a typically boyish chic type of look which included a white blazer, black shorts and a Carven Spring 2011 contrast-collar cotton-poplin shirt.

The black and white theme continues to her Carven striped pumps, but she added a contrasting baby blue clutch for a pop of colour.

I’m not Alexa’s biggest fan, but I really like this look.

It feels well put together rather than just thrown on which is the usual vibe I get from her.

Leighton Meester In Carven – Young Hollywood Studio

Leighton Meester made an appearance on Young Hollywood Studio recently to promote her new movie, “The Roommate.”

Leighton opted for a super casual laid-back look wearing a black tank top paired with a Carven Spring 2011 high-waisted knot detailed skirt.

I’m sure many of you are thankful she didn’t wear the same top as the model for her TV interview.

Leighton accessorized with Cathy Waterman earrings and a Bvlgari ring.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Carven – Rachael Ray Show

Gwyneth Paltrow recently appeared around Rachael Ray’s kitchen table for the first time to promote her new movie, “Country Strong.”

She shared tidbits about her life, including naming the guy who gave the best smooch among all of her hot leading men. “I did a little cameo once at the beginning of Austin Powers 3, I think it was, and I got to make out with Tom Cruise,” she recalls. “He was an amazing kisser!”

Gwynie towered over Rachael wearing a Carven dress which has a draped tie at waist and a wrap-effect V-cut back.

Her dress was paired with creamy Doo.Ri sexy sandals.
