Charlotte Le Bon In Carolina Herrera – ‘The Walk’ New York Film Festival Opening Night Gala Presentation

Charlotte Le Bon In Carolina Herrera - 'The Walk' New York Film Festival Opening Night Gala Presentation
Charlotte Le Bon attended the New York Film Festival opening night gala presentation and the world premiere of ‘The Walk’ on Saturday (September 26) in New York City.

Extending the joys of summer straight into fall, she was the prettiest in pink in a Carolina Herrera Spring 2016 blush-tinged ensemble.

I loved the engineered structure of the cropped top’s tech fabric interlaced with the frothy femininity of the gossamer chiffon-like sleeves and skirting, creating a fresh sense of enchantment.

I would have saved the raspberry pumps (and the glitter eye shadow, for that matter) for a rainy day, as I much preferred the balletic grace of the ankle-strap sandals from the runway. But perhaps that was her nod to September’s seasonal style call.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Emmy Rossum In Carolina Herrera, Douglas Booth In Polo Ralph Lauren & Richard Madden In Thom Sweeney

BDOTW 8 June

Emmy Rossum’s BDOTY-worthy Carolina Herrera look was by far your best dressed this week. You won’t be surprised to learn that she was my favourite too.

When it came to the fellas, there was no separating the Brit boys Douglas Booth and Richard Madden in their Rolo Ralph Lauren and Thom Sweeney suits.

There were plenty of dapper gents this week, but I’m guessing the light-coloured summery suits played into your decision-making this week. I would agree, but give Douglas the edge. I still can’t get over Richard’s shoe choice.

Emmy Rossum In Carolina Herrera – Botanical Garden’s Conservatory Ball

Emmy Rossum, Patricia Lansing

Carolina Herrera partnered with The New York Botanical Garden to host the annual Conservatory Ball on Thursday (June 4) in New York City with all of the event’s proceeds going to charity.

There are many unions made in fashion heaven, but none more delightful than Carolina Herrera and Emmy Rossum.

The ‘Shameless’ star was the belle of the ball, sweeping the red carpet wearing a Carolina Herrera Fall 2015 off-the-shoulder navy jacquard gown with a beautifully dramatic cloud print skirt.

Divinely luxurious in both its quality and feminine style, this gown really sets the bar for elegant evening wear.

I thought her Donna Karan Atelier gown would take some beating, but this gown might just pip that gown to the BDOTY post.

Her styling is sensational here.

Queen Letizia of Spain’s Six Looks In Three Days For Paris State Visit

Queen Letizia of Spain's Six Looks In Three Days For Paris State Visit

Queen Letizia of Spain has been taking the Paris by storm while embarking on a state visit with husband King Felipe VI this week.

Look 1: King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia were officially welcomed by the French President, Francois Hollande at the Arc de Triomphe in Paris on Tuesday (June 2). She wore a bespoke Felipe Varela skirt suit accented with tonal macramé lace detailing which was supremely elegant and befitting of the formal occasion.

Look 2: Later that afternoon the Queen changed into a more relaxed look by Carolina Herrera. Aside from the Carolina Herrera floral print skirt, I also took notice of her Carolina Herrera strappy sandals as royals usually stick to classic pumps.

Look 3: The same evening the Queen Letizia went glam, opting for a dazzling burgundy dress by one of her favourite designers Felipe Varela for her night out at the Elysée Palace. Complementary Lodi pumps and a black clutch accessorized her look. I love how she styled her new bob into 20s-inspired waves.

Weekend Red Carpet Roundup

weekend roundup

The weekend brought with it a garden variety of ensembles from Los Angeles to London, and more. Here, a glance at the looks and the starlets who wore them.

Emma Roberts: Joining Diane Kruger and Freida Pinto, the actress was at the 8th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park on Saturday (May 30) in Jersey City, New Jersey. She styled her sunny yellow Christine Alcalay Spring 2015 dress with Michael Kors Benji straw wedge sandals, an M2malletier Mini Amor Fati leopard pony bag, and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Chantilly sunglasses, all topped off with a braided ’do.

Elsa Pataky: Elsa was the picture of girly charm, as she joined Emily Blunt at the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park on Sunday (May 31) in London, England. Her rose-printed Ulyana Sergeenko demi couture dress was adorable yet I would have loved to see it without the pink sweater. Casadei nude suede pumps assured her legs went on for days, with a Paula Cademartori clutch finishing the look.

Sophia Bush: The actress was at Glamour USA’s June ‘Success’ Issue dinner party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California on Friday (May 29). While her Vivienne Westwood Fall 2015 dress, worn with a Rauwolf clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, was rather elaborate with its heavy print and silhouette, she ensured the look stayed fresh with her hair and makeup on the barely-there side.
