Met Costume Institute Gala – Diane Kruger In Calvin Klein

Yay, the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art has finally started.

This years theme is “American Woman: Fashioning A National Identity”.

Diane Kruger was one of the first guests to arrive looking stunning wearing Calvin Klein.

As much as I love big gowns, ruffles, and bling, I do also appreciate the beauty in something so simplistic and elegant as this.

With her hair pulled tightly back, subtle jewels and a silver box clutch Diane makes the perfect start to what I hope will be a magical night.

Joshua Jackson forgoes the traditional bow tie for a rather dapper scarf.

What a beautiful couple they make.

2010 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner – Cynthia Nixon In Calvin Klein

Cynthia Nixon was the other “Sex And The City” star to attend the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington DC last night.

She gave us a typically minimalistic look wearing a Calvin Klein Resort 2010 dress.

I love how her off-the-shoulder taupe gown shimmers on the red carpet.

Her ruby bracelet and red lips add touches of colour to her look.

it looks like Cynthia is limbering up for the “Sex And The City” premieres, as this is a fabulous look from her.

“Chloe” New York Premiere – Julianne Moore In Calvin Klein

Julianne Moore was also the “Chloe” New York premiere last night.

I feel hugely disappointed by this look from Julianne. Normally I get 100% from her, but last night I got about 20%.

Just because awards season is over, it doesn’t mean celebs should turn down the glam on the red carpet.

I’m only appreciating this look from the knees up.

I love her pink draped Calvin Klein dress as it’s such a divine colour on her, but tight black tights and grey suede ankle boots????

It’s like she just stuck a knife through my heart.

A Bulgari clutch completed her look.

2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party – Diane Kruger In Calvin Klein

Sorry but Diane Kruger gets nil points on Oscar night from me.

Both for her Oscar red carpet look and her Vanity Fair party dress.

Diane opted for this red Calvin Klein Resort 2010 dress for the Vanity Fair party.

Why red?

She would’ve looked so much better in the pale white runway version, but I guess she didn’t go for that since she’d already worn the same colour to the main event.

I really dislike the white bra under this dress.

Designer Of The Week – Francisco Costa For Calvin Klein

Thanks to Thursday nights “Calvin Klein’s LA Arts Month And ALAC Event”, Francisco Costa takes the title of “Designer of the Week” for Calvin Klein.

Kate Bosworth was by far my leading lady here and along with Ginnifer Goodwin who are both up for Best Dressed Of The Week.

Kate’s really been doing justice to Francisco Costa designs lately, as she also looked stunning at the Golden Globes after party in a Calvin Klein creation.

This collection is full of gorgeous pastels and floaty white dresses and I really like the light weight feel of all these looks.

“Calvin Klein’s LA Arts Month And ALAC” Event – Melissa George In Calvin Klein

What is this Fashion Felony Friday?

This is no way close to being as bad as Kelis, but I really don’t like Melissa George’s look.

The actress attended the “Calvin Klein’s LA Arts Month And ALAC” Event in LA last night wearing a nude ribbed long-sleeve Calvin Klein dress, with nude heels and box clutch.

The colour of this shapeless dress, which she wears without a bra does nothing for her.

She may have thought the berry lip was a nice way to add a pop of colour to her look, but she’s too washed out for the colour to have a positive impact.
