Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba celebrate the launch of ‘The Nanny Connie Way’

Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel co-hosted the launch celebration for ‘The Nanny Connie Way: Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood’ by Nanny Connie Simpson at Au Fudge in LA on Monday (April 23).

While the two Jessicas couldn’t have been wearing more different looks, it was lovely to see each celebrating her own vision of relaxed-chic style for the day.

For Jessica Alba, that meant a more frilly, feminine mood in this Shoshanna ‘Elena’ floral-print, cold-shoulder dress that had a beautiful bohemian mood. I’m not sure the extra-wide belt was a necessity, but it did accomplish its waist-defining goal. The look was styled with Pierre Hardy ‘Maxi Candy’ sandals.

I also liked how Jessica Biel elevated her Brunello Cucinelli athleisure-inspired racing stripes with a sharp pair of pumps to offer plenty of sass to the casual suiting.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is our final look at the fellas who strutted their stuff down the red carpet this week.

John Boyega: Joining Adria Arjona at the ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’ LA premiere, I was hypnotized by the inky-blue hue of John’s crisp suit, styled with David Yurman jewels.

Adam Devine: Etro suits can often be loud in print, but I love the subtle details which define Adam’s look. A relaxed feel was to be had when the actor styled his suit with a simple tee and stark white sneakers for Netflix’s ‘Game Over, Man!’ premiere.

Scott Eastwood: Joining John, the actor went in a more mellow direction in dark grey Valentino, styled with oxblood Salvatore Ferragamo shoes.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The guys have been out in force over the past few days. Here’s a look at what they were wearing.

Tye Sheridan: At the ‘Ready Player One’ European premiere in London on Monday (March 19), warmth was a key part of Tye’s Burberry Tailoring double-breasted suit and overcoat—as opposed to some of the ladies on the red carpet like Tallia Storm. The striped, collarless dress shirt underneath was an intriguing way to finish the dapper look.

Edgar Ramirez: With a retro-forward, brown suede Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2018 suit and colour-block sweater, Edgar fit in perfectly as he joined Judith Light at the For Your Consideration event for FX’s ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ on Monday (March 19) in LA.

Matthew Rhys: At the season 6 premiere of ‘The Americans’ on Friday (March 16) in Washington, D.C., alongside Keri Russell, Matthew looked sharp in one of my favoured suit shades: aubergine. I do think this Rag & Bone ensemble would have been fine without the black tie and belt.

‘A Wrinkle in Time’ London Premiere

The European premiere of ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ on Tuesday (March 13) in London saw a trio of other ladies on the red carpet in addition to the film’s stars, Reese Witherspoon, Storm Reid, and Mindy Kaling.

Ava DuVernay: The film’s director dressed the part in a Prada ankle-length gown with a mini train and articulated shoulders that was pure magic simply by virtue of its cornflower-blue colour. I love the delicate yet effective addition of the embellished belt with a brocade clutch, silver pumps, and a dynamite red lip to round out the look. This was such a lovely showing, from top to toe, for Ava.

Oprah Winfrey: Wearing a look that was elegantly within her wheelhouse, Oprah donned a lightly embellished blouse, obi-style belt, and floor-sweeping Brunello Cucinelli Spring 2018 skirt that was her version of stylized glamour, and the pure effortlessness of it all is what really translated so strongly.

Kathryn Newton: The young starlet wore a darling, ruffled Valentino dress. While the magenta boots perhaps introduced an element of quirky whimsy to the look, I found them to be too strong of a competitor with the frock. I would have preferred to see it stand alone on its own chic merits.

2018 Oscars & Oscar Parties Menswear Roundup

Many of the men brought their A game to the 2018 Oscars and Oscars parties, including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday (March 4) in California.

Chadwick Boseman: The ‘Black Panther’ star continued his reign of sartorial power in this Givenchy Haute Couture suit that was inspired by a full look in the Spring 2018 collection. However, I love how he made the long, embellished jacket his own—sleekly styling it with black shirting and trousers and the zipper-accented shoes.

Donald Glover: This Gucci tux such a handsome-luxe approach with the velvet jacket taking it to the next level in partnership with the relaxed-suave appeal of the slipper shoes. A David Yurman ring completed the look.

Tom Holland: Sometimes double-breasted jackets can come across as a bit contrived, but I love how Tom wore this Hermès suit so sharply. It was a standout on the Oscars red carpet with his Piaget watch adding that final touch.
