The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala Menswear Roundup

A trio of men joined Angelina Jolie, Julianna Margolies, Saoirse Ronan, and Lupita Nyong’o among others at The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City.

Timothée Chalamet: On some other guys, the tie on this Thom Browne gray suit would have taken me straight to the corporate office. But, the young actor manages to pull it off with his quirky panache, given the intentionally cropped proportions of the suiting.

Armie Hammer: This Brunello Cucinelli ensemble was another sharp look for the actor. What I loved the most was how smartly the baby-blue shirt and floral pin brought out his eyes. It was also a first-class lesson in how crisp and polished a menswear look can be without a tie.

Daniel Kaluuya: Speaking of no ties, Daniel was just as sleekly handsome in his dark Burberry suit styled with a solid use of a turtleneck. The pocket square also infused this look with so much personality.

Refinery29’s 29Rooms Event

Refinery29 hosted an interactive funhouse of style, culture, and technology in New York City on Thursday (September 7), where a number of PYTs came out to play at this 3rd annual 29Rooms event.

Larsen Thompson: I absolutely love how Larsen used her look to echo the whimsy of the event. Her Arianne Elmy blouse with ruffled statement sleeves was perfectly balanced to the edgier, sleek shine of the Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2017 trousers—all topped off with Alchimia Di Ballin ‘Kari’ boots for a retro-forward finish.

Shay Mitchell: Shay let the bold print of this Fausto Puglisi Resort 2018 oversized jacket do the talking. There was something about the fit that threw me off, though, as it appeared slightly haphazard. The chain necklaces also remained unnecessary.

Priyanka Chopra In Brunello Cucinelli – ‘The Defiant Ones’ New York Premiere

Do my eyes deceive me, or is Priyanka Chopra wearing trousers for the New York premiere of ‘The Defiant Ones’?

Following her ‘Baywatch’ promo tour, the actress was taking a very different approach for this documentary series wearing a Brunello Cucinelli Fall 2017 tailored jacket and chic wide leg trousers.

I love the hint of cleavage and sparkling eyelash fringing which make an impact, but also softened the oversized masculine elements.

Her styling is also to be commended.

Starting with her sophisticated faux bob and continuing to her matte plum lipstick, Priyanka brought a glamorous edge to her look without overwhelming it.

The length of the trousers may be problematic for some, but I think they’re just right, complementing the slightly cropped sleeves perfectly.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Between the 2017 Time 100 Gala in New York City, to a Hollywood premiere and a special screening in London, there were plenty of reasons for the men to be out in force on Tuesday (April 25).

Riz Ahmed: I applaud Riz for stepping outside the navy and black box to wear this camel Prada Spring 2017 suit—and to wear it so well—at the Time 100 Gala. However, I do question the black dress shirt and brown loafers.

Orlando Bloom: At a special screening of ‘Unlocked’ in London, the actor was casually sharp in a Dior Homme blue suit enhanced by the patterned shirt underneath that precluded the need for a tie.

Ryan Reynolds: Also at the Time 100 Gala, Ryan went for a more classic route in a Brunello Cucinelli navy tux that was handsomely polished for the occasion.

Mila Kunis In Brunello Cucinelli – CinemaCon 2017

Mila Kunis was spotted alongside Jessica Chastain and Cara Delevingne at an STX Films presentation during CinemaCon 2017 on Tuesday (March 28) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Opting to keep her look sleek and streamlined, she wore a black Brunello Cucinelli jumpsuit.

To break up the simplicity of form and add a more spring-like lightness, I was glad to see that she styled the look with Santoni ‘Brigitte’ ankle strap sandals.

Earrings and bangles by EF Collection, a bangle by EFFY Jewelry, as well as rings by Sara Weinstock by Graziela Gems, rounded out the look.

Kristen Stewart In Brunello Cucinelli – ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Kristen Stewart made an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ in New York City on Thursday (March 9), as she promotes her latest film, ‘Personal Shopper.’

Going for her classic casual approach, she made herself comfortable in striped utility pants from the Brunello Cucinelli Spring 2017 collection.

A black T-shirt and menswear-inspired ankle boots were all that were needed to finish the ensemble.

But with that platinum buzz cut, any ensemble looks all the cooler for it.

Armie Hammer In Todd Snyder, Brunello Cucinelli & Burberry – ‘Final Portrait’, ‘Call Me by Your Name’ Berlin Film Festival Photocalls & Premiere

Armie Hammer is currently Berlin, Germany promoting ‘Final Portrait’ and ‘Call Me by Your Name’ during the 2017 Berlinale International Film Festival.

‘Final Portrait’ photocall: It’s not often we see Armie’s casual side, but even in this Todd Snyder and J Brand combo, he still possess that air of gentlemanly charm.

‘Final Portrait’ premiere: Now this is the Armie Hammer we all know and love. Dashing, debonair and looking incredibly handsome in Brunello Cucinelli, he never fails to serve up sartorial excellence.

‘Call Me by Your Name’ photocall: Going from casual to smart to contemporary, the actor Burberry look – infused with warm nutmeg hues – was surprisingly my favourite of the trio.
