The Hammer Museum’s 12th Annual ‘Gala In The Garden’

The Hammer Museum's 12th Annual Gala In The Garden

The Hammer Museum’s 12th annual ‘Gala in the Garden’ was held on Saturday (October 11) in Westwood, California in association with Bottega Veneta, where the stars were draped in the Italian brand’s finest pieces.

Dianna Agron: The ‘Glee’ actress continued to showcase her sartorial style wearing a black and nude patterned dress from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2015 collection. Oozing with elegance and femininity, she styled her dress with the brand’s signature woven clutch. I have found myself hypnotized by Dianna at the moment. Whoever is doing her makeup and making her glow so radiantly is doing a fine job.

January Jones: No surprises that January stood out; she’s never one to blend into the background. The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore an intentionally imperfect vibrant strapless Bottega Veneta patchwork Pre-Fall 2014 dress defined by a hot-pink jacquard, macramé lace, and a metallic coating. Like Dianna, she carried a woven clutch, with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals providing the finishing touches. Needless to say, she was by far my favourite at this event.

Emmy Rossum: Also carrying a Bottega Veneta woven clutch, the ‘Shameless’ actress looked as lovely as ever wearing a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2014 V-neck black and nude gown shimmering with metallic-gold panels. Like Dianna, she’s glowing.

Hilary Swank In Bottega Veneta – ‘The Homesman’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Hilary Swank In Bottega Veneta - 'The Homesman' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Sporting a golden glow, Hilary Swank attended the photocall of her latest movie, ‘The Homesman’, this morning (May 18) during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.

Taking an effortless approach to stand-out daytime chic, Hilary wore a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2014 tri-colour long-sleeved dress featuring a skirt with softly tucked pleats.

I love the hot-pink wide cummerbund-inspired centre that anchors this look – it gives it a contemporary feel.

Styled with nude Casadei pumps with black piping, the look was completed with tumbling wavy tresses.

I am hoping for a BDOTY-worthy look this evening.

Salma Hayek In Bottega Veneta – ‘Hommage Au Cinema D’Animation’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Salma Hayek In Bottega Veneta - ‘Hommage Au Cinema D'Animation’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Salma Hayek made an appearance during Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 17), attending the photocall for ‘Hommage Au Cinema D’Animation’.

The actress opted for a very sophisticated sheath dress from Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection featuring a pink metallic panel accented with lace, which gives this classic piece a contemporary twist plus the illusion of a tiny waist.

Matching ankle-strap bow-front pumps accessorized her look, with wavy tresses providing the finishing touches.

I’m excited to see the First Lady of Fashion take to the red carpet for the premiere.

Will it be Gucci Première, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen or even Christopher Kane?

Check back later.

2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Menswear Roundup

2014 Critics' Choice Movie Awards Menswear RoundupThe men put their sartorial stamp on the 19th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, hosted on Thursday night (January 16) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Here, a look at the handsome highlights.

Bradley Cooper: The Best Supporting Actor nominee, who also made it onstage to accept the trophy for Best Acting Ensemble in ‘American Hustle,’ combined the best of both worlds—comfort and class—in his Bottega Veneta ‘Quetsche’ flannel plum suit and baby-blue button-up shirt. He looked effortlessly fine in this tie-less entrance, and the subtle yet striking shade couldn’t have been more compelling.

James Marsden
: I could barely believe my eyes when I saw ‘The Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’ actor on the red carpet in an Ovadia & Sons grey plaid suit, paired with a dark navy tie and tan Givenchy lace-up shoes. It was bold move, but he still wore it well. Do you agree?

Jeremy Renner
: Forgetting the more informal trappings of his co-star Bradley, the ‘American Hustle’ actor dressed up in an Ermenegildo Zegna one-button, black tuxedo with tonal satin notch lapel tuxedo, along with a white shirt, black bow tie and black shoes.

Julianna Margulies In Bottega Veneta – 2013 Ripple of Hope Awards Dinner

Julianna Margulies In Bottega Veneta - 2013 Ripple of Hope Awards Dinner

Julianna Margulies attended the 2013 Ripple of Hope awards dinner held at the New York Hilton on Wednesday evening (December 11) in New York City.

Sporting a shimmering hot-red lip, the ‘Good Wife’ actress wore her third dual-colour look in a row, wearing a Bottega Veneta Fall 2013 dress which oozes modern femininity.

Her nude wool-flannel dress with densely embroidered vertical lines of lacquered black raffia was styled with black pumps, a Bottega Veneta signature woven clutch and diamond-encrusted rose-gold drop earrings.

This is yet another classic frock given a contemporary twist which keeps me interested, with effortless styling to give the look a sophisticated flourish.

Petra Nemcova In Bottega Veneta – Prague Fashion Week

Petra Nemcova In Bottega Veneta - Prague Fashion Week

Petra Nemcova was on the scene at Prague Fashion Week earlier this week in the Czech Republic.

Looking appropriately avant-garde, the Czech model and philanthropist could have practically walked straight off the catwalk herself in her artistic Bottega Veneta Fall 2013 frock.

She may be one of the few who can truly pull off this sculptural, appliquéd design’s exaggerated, statement sleeves and abstract, paintbrush effect with her statuesque frame.

Letting her bold Bottega statement take top billing, Petra pulled her hair back into a slick bun and wore a pair of nude peep-toe heels.

She did match her cherry lip to the mixed-red embellishment on the dress, but as for that ballet-pink clutch, it may have been more of a distraction at times.

Too much or just enough?

Who Wore Bottega Veneta Better…Rosario Dawson or Anne Heche?

Who Wore Bottega Veneta Better Rosario Dawson or Anne Heche

Rosario Dawson was the first to wear this salmon-pink-coloured Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2013 ‘Japonaise’ dress while attending the ‘Trance’ New York premiere back in April which looked divine against her olive skin.

Adding a selection of darker-pink Bottega Veneta accessories perfectly completed her chic look.

Anne Heche wore the same dress last month while attending the Oceana’s 6th annual SeaChange Summer Party.

Sadly, her accessories, the omission of the belt, all went against her.

This was an easy win for Rosario, but her pluses far outweigh Anne’s faults, it needs to be said. This is one of Rosario’s best ever looks.
