Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Going back to her Tennessee roots, Taylor Swift reaffirmed her place as country-pop’s reigning princess at the Grammy Nominations Concert in Nashville last week.

The songstress looks like a dream in a lacy frock by Maria Lucia Hohan and a pair of nude peep-toe pumps.

The a-line dress complements Taylor’s willowy frame, while the lace pattern in the perfect shade of winter white is reminiscent of sweetly intricate snowflakes.

Plus, Taylor’s lush blonde bangs frame her face in a way that is both modern and vintage-inspired.

Corinne Bailey Rae was already a winner when she hit the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards, taking home ‘Best R&B Performance’ in the pre-telecast awards.

The British singer chose a black Christian Siriano Fall 2011 dress with a voluminous, textured skirt associated with the young designer.

Her detailed dress somehow doesn’t overpower the singer’s petite frame, but her curly, side-swept hair does.

Such a standout dress would have been better off with a sleeker ‘do.

Black studded Christian Siriano for Payless pumps and a deep berry lip colour completed the look.

On the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards, Jessie J called herself a ‘personal disco-ball’.

She did shine like one, wearing a structured and fully embellished silver Julien Macdonald bustier gown with a mermaid hemline.

Jessie styled her hair in a high ponytail with blunt bangs, accessorizing with major statement earrings and a Lulu Guinness black perspex lips clutch.

I love this look on Jessie. I’m surprised she toned down the crazy on this occasion.
