Abbey Lee In Balmain – ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ LA Premiere

Abbey Lee In Balmain - 'Mad Max Fury Road' LA Premiere

Abbey Lee made a return to the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ at TCL Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 7) in Hollywood, California.

Working a 70s vibe, the model wore a Balmain Pre-Fall 2015 red and black striped jumpsuit.

Considering her model credentials one would expect this to be an easy sell for Abbey Lee, but the looks falls flat for me. Perhaps I’m put off by the nose ring and the heavy footwear.

The other issue is that Jane Fonda owned this look when she wore the green and black version to the Grammy Awards earlier this year.

2015 Met Gala Menswear Roundup

Met Men Matt

With the tidal wave of gowns and tonnes of sparkling embellishment at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), the guys’ looks were a handsome, albeit less extravagant, accessory to the girls. Rather than attempting to accomplish the Chinese theme, some of the men reverted to safer, traditional tux territory while others bravely went in the direction of the East.

Robert Pattinson: This is the Robert Pattinson I like to see—polished and handsome without losing his edgy, bad-boy charm. His elegant Dior Homme three-piece tuxedo was one of my favourite men’s looks of the night.

James Marsden: The actor infused another layer into his Ermenegildo Zegna ensemble, elevating the look with a cream jacket paired with a white tuxedo shirt and black trousers.

Matt Bomer: Showing off the power of the classics, he was dapper in a dark Giorgio Armani suit and bow tie popped with the hint of colour in his pocket square.

Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain – ‘The Age of Adaline’ New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively In Antonio Berardi, Jenny Packham, Lindsey Thornburg, Valentino & Balmain - 'The Age of Adaline' New York Promo Tour Day 2

Blake Lively was still promoting her new movie, ‘The Age of Adaline’ on Wednesday (April 22) with four more looks.

Look 1: Opting for Antonio Berardi again, the mix print one-shoulder sheath from the Fall 2015 collection, styled with Malone Souliers tri-colour pumps, piqued my interest, but the embellished Jenny Packham Fall 2013 coat doesn’t quite work for me. Sans coat this was one of her best of the week.

Look 2: Blake made a guest appearance on ABC’s ‘The Chew’. I simply adore this look. Not too fond of the fall-like hues she’s been championing this promo tour, this sweet and feminine Lindsey Thornburg floral summer-in-a-dress frock, styled with baby-blue pumps, is perfect from head to toe.

Look 3: For the Apple Store Soho Presents Tribeca Film Festival: ‘The Age Of Adaline’ Q & A event, Blake wore a Valentino patchwork Fall 2015 coat and dress. I would only save the shoes from this look. There is too much going on for my liking here, plus I really love Blake in bright, summery colours, like the Roksanda look from the day before. I have Dolly Parton’s ‘Coat of Many Colours’ playing on a loop in my head after seeing this look.

Look 4: Making a guest appearance on ‘The Late Show with Seth Meyers’, Blake wore her second Balmain Fall 2015 look in so many days. I love the sparkling fringe skirt, but wish she’d made this look her own and broken up the runway look. The top feels so pedestrian for the disco-style skirt.

Blake Lively In Balmain – Out In New York City

Blake Lively In Balmain - Out In New York City

Blake Lively was spotted out in Manhattan on Tuesday (April 21) in New York City, following her departure from the Rockefeller Center where she made a guest appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.

This Balmain Fall 2015 look, which features a body suit and colour-block plisse palazzo pants, made it 10 looks in one day — more looks than most people wear in a week.

While I am sad that her day ended on a bum note as I just can’t get past those unflattering pants which are an eyesore, I, unlike some of you, applaud her efforts of the day.

Yes, perhaps the edit could’ve been better with a less-is-more, quality-over-quantity approach, but for someone who just had a baby and doesn’t work with a stylist, she has done better in one day than most people *coughs* Margot Robbie *coughs* have done on their promo tours.

Scarlett Johansson In Balmain – ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ London Premiere

Scarlett Johansson In Balmain - 'The Avengers Age Of Ultron' London Premiere

Scarlett Johansson attended ‘The Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ premiere at Westfield this evening (April 21) in London, England joining Elizabeth Olsen.

Although it doesn’t appear to be the case, Scarlett opted to eschew the classic evening dress for Balmain wide leg jumpsuit from the Fall 2015 collection.

After her sombre Stella McCartney offering in LA, I love how the theatrical proportions of her jumpsuit were matched by the dynamic print whihch embodies the brand’s free-spirited, bold aesthetic.

Even with the boyish long-on-top, wraparound-partial-buzz-cut, Scarlett’s look was ultra feminine, sexy and modern.

Including the MTV Movie Awards Zuhair Murad jumpsuit, this is so far her best look.
