Juliette Binoche In Balmain – ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Juliette Binoche was absolutely radiant for her appearance on the red carpet for ‘The Killing Of A Sacred Deer’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening (May 22).

When you think of Balmain, micro minis and slash to the navel (in either direction) gowns immediately spring to mind, so this bespoke Balmain dress will serve as quite a surprise.

Featuring a sensuous off-the-shoulder style and dramatic cherry-red hue this piece possesses elegance from centuries past.

I’m truly in awe, and love that the hair is much improved on this occasion.

Cannes Fashion For Relief

The Fashion for Relief gala and runway show event was held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 21), with attendees turning up the volume on their own fashion statements for the evening.

Naomi Campbell: Before gracing the runway at the event, the supermodel stunned in an Atelier Versace Spring 2017 gown with Santoni sandals and Bulgari jewels. The slithery, slit-to-there was Naomi’s version of a Grecian goddess look; I loved the movement of the diaphanous skirt and the shimmer of the knotted overlay that infused the look with an intriguing edge.

Uma Thurman: After her questionable last look, Uma redeemed herself a bit in this Atelier Versace embellished number styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. However, am I alone in thinking the dress felt a bit dated?

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan
: I have a feeling that this Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress was far more beautifully perceived in person with its tonal embroidery and lace underskirt. Its pristine-white polish is what kept me most interested.

Lewis Hamilton
: The British race car driver didn’t leave his sporty edge at home, bringing it to Cannes with this Gucci ‘Bee’ bomber jacket.

Hailee Steinfeld In Balmain – The 2017 Billboard Music Awards & ELLE Present ‘Women In Music’

Unlike some of her peers, Hailee Steinfelds’ style evolution has never veered down a sleazy path.

At the 2017 Billboard Music Awards and ELLE Present ‘Women In Music’ event on Tuesday (May 16) in LA, the singer opted for a Balmain Pre-Fall 2017 dress.

Youthful, opulent and oozing with high-octane glamour this impactful design needed little embellishment – however, I would’ve loved a sassy pair of sandals here.

Panthere De Cartier Party

There were many stars to watch at the Panthere De Cartier Party in LA on Friday (May 5), which celebrated the relaunch of the Panthere timepiece.

Ashley Madekwe: There was something breathtaking about the fluidity of form in this Halston Heritage ensemble, which was chic minimalism at its finest.

Dakota Johnson: It doesn’t get more timeless than an LBD, especially this ladylike version from the Shaina Mote Spring 2017 collection, sophisticatedly styled with a J.W. Anderson ‘Pierce’ bag, Cartier watch, and Gucci sandals.

Sienna Miller: Also in a minimalist and monochromatic mood, Sienna wore a flowing silk champagne ensemble from The Row styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ sandals and a Tod’s clutch. With the slip-inspired top and loose pants, some might see elegant PJs, but it was still an effortlessly beautiful look.

2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more starlets took to the red carpet at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 7) in LA.

Millie Bobby Brown: Cowgirl-glam never looked better than with this Calvin Klein By Appointment sequin dress paired with Calvin Klein white western boots and Jennifer Meyer jewels.

Gal Gadot: Tuxedo-style dressing was upgraded with a hem of tasseled fringe and lace in this sexy little Cinq à Sept LBD number.

Alexandra Daddario: Evocatively feminine, this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Fall 2016 lace gown made flashing your panty-line look rather pretty. Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals completed the look.

2017 Met Gala Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

As one of the biggest nights in fashion, the 2017 Met Gala boasted a number of menswear looks that rose to the occasion on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Lewis Hamilton
: Scoring high style marks, Lewis’s green velvet Dolce & Gabbana Alta Sartoria tuxedo was graced by Buccellati Collection diamonds and metallic-laced slippers. It was effortlessly luxe with an impossibly cool edge.

Alexander Skarsgard
: I was head over heels for this impeccable, white-hot Ermenegildo Zegna Couture tuxedo.

Rami Malek: We saw many ladies in red, and I loved how Rami brought the hue of the evening in this Dior Homme suit, accented by a floral pin and shiny patent dress shoes. Handsomely on theme—in all the best ways.

harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue Event Red Carpet Roundup

Other starlets joined Emily Robinson for the harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue Event on Wednesday (April 26) in LA.

Laura Marano: I love the colourful vibrancy of this Balmain bandage-inspired dress. What I didn’t love so much was Laura’s slicked-down hair and heavy makeup, as this beauty approach was too forced and mature for the bright young actress.

Debby Ryan: With a fresher outlook, Debby was darling in a sky-blue patterned Carolina Herrera frock styled with a silvery-gray Edie Parker clutch, only leaving me to question why not echo a silver or blue shade in her shoes?

Victoria Justice: She covered off on every era in this ensemble—from her ’70s-inspired sparkling sequin PrettyLittleThing ‘Sharlie’ mini, to a hole-dotted denim jacket that could have been ripped straight from the ’90s, and Lucite heels hearkening back to the ’80s. And, despite its OTT essence, she surprisingly wore it with a sense of relaxed ease.
