2018 Golden Globe Awards Parties

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards were a study in many glamorous renditions of the colour black. And, for the most part, the Globes after parties followed suit with the hue taking on all measures of late-night allure.

Diane Kruger: After a regally glamorous entrance at the Globes, Diane was at the InStyle and Warner Bros. post-party, where she imbued black, cropped trousers with a bit of creamy lace in this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 ensemble. I have a feeling that the tattered, asymmetrical effect of the lace bustier top will turn some away from the more experimental look.

Tessa Thompson: At HBO’s official after party in LA, Tessa suited up in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2017 Couture menswear-inspired look that delivered plenty of intriguing edge when styled with the MATEO jewelry and bauble-accented sandals. I was happy for the sheer shirting underneath to balance the boxier shape of the tuxedo blazer.

Nina Dobrev: The actress flaunted her toned abs at the InStyle party in this Ralph Lauren cutout gown. Even with the futuristic liquid-silver paneling, something about the look read a bit dated. Alexis Bittar choker completed her look.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Balmain – W Magazine Celebrates Its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio

Tracee Ellis Ross was back on the red carpet for W Magazine’s Celebration of its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio and the Golden Globes on Thursday (January 4) in LA.

We all know that Tracee loves to pay homage to the disco-era and that she’s like a magpie when it comes to pieces that shimmer, so I wasn’t surprised to see her wearing this Balmain Pre-Fall 2018 tuxedo-style jumpsuit.

I love how the strong shoulders and straight legs reference a traditional masculine suit, while a plunging neckline lends a feminine slant.

Do you love Tracee’s Studio 54-inspired glitz?

Olga Kurylenko In Balmain – British Independent Film Awards 2017

Following her appearance at the Dubai International Film Festival which saw Olga Kurylenko don two Elie Saab Couture gowns, the actress was back in London for the British Independent Film Awards on Sunday (December 10).

Making lustre the operating principle of her red carpet look, Olga opted for a different style of glamour in Balmain.

Crafted with thick, textural embroidery and metal beading, I love how the fringe trims add a sassy edgy.

While we’re more used to a particular, some might say predictable, style from Olga, I think manages to pull this heavy-duty look off with great aplomb.

Juliette Binoche In Balmain – European Film Awards 2017

Juliette Binoche graced the red carpet for the European Film Awards in Berlin, Germany on Saturday (December 9).

The award-winning actress, who was nomination for Best Actress for her performance in, ‘Let the Sunshine In’, rocked a Balmain jumpsuit.

I love how this look teams military appeal with the brands signature dose of sex appeal.

For Juliette, this is quite a daring design, from the body-conscious silhouette to the deep-plunge.

She has been flirting with Balmain since Cannes Film Festival, and it proves once again to be a perfect union.

Repossi jewels completed her look.

The 2017 Miss Universe Pageant

The 2017 Miss Universe Pageant took place on Sunday (November 26) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fergie: Some would class her Balmain mini sparkler a typical Vegas glam look, what with the micro length and the embellishments, and they wouldn’t be wrong as this dress makes the ultimate Vegas statement – “Look at me now”.

Rachel Platten: When you look at Fergie’s dress and Rachel’s J. Mendel Resort 2018 pale-blue gown, you’d be forgiven for thinking they were at totally different events.

Ashley Graham: The model, who was the backstage host, wore a Michael Costello fitted lace dress. When I think of the designer; sexy gowns with plunging necklines spring to mind. And when I think of Ashley’s styled silk dresses and a corset are usually her red carpet M.O., so this is refreshing and intriguing on both fronts.

Tracee Ellis Ross hosts the 2017 AMAs in Stella McCartney, Vintage Halston, Christian Siriano, Ronald van der Kemp Couture, Balmain, Giambattista Valli Couture, Paco Rabanne & Roberto Cavalli

Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA, where her mother Diana Ross was honored with a lifetime achievement award, and her brother, Evan Ross with wife Ashlee Simpson Ross were also in attendance.

Starting off with two sparkling looks, Tracee graced the red carpet wearing a Stella McCartney frock. I didn’t quite get her red Tamara Mellon sandals until I realised they pick up the exposed red seams of her dress. Her jewels were courtesy of Irene Neuwirth.

I like how her embellished vintage Halston jumpsuit from Shrimpton Couture was giving off a 60s vibe especially when paired with her fuchsia pink go-go boots.

2017 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many modes of so-called glamour were represented at the 2017 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 13) in Brooklyn, New York. Here’s a look at some of the other femmes in attendance.

Sailor Brinkley: Simple seduction was precisely what this ZAC Zac Posen Resort 2018 sequin slip gown was all about—with Sailor’s romantic ringlets to follow form.

Yolanda Hadid: For Yolanda, an LBD meant a long black dress in this Akris gown that smartly hinted at seduction in the keyhole detail and side slit.

Sofia Coppola: Fresh and snappy, this Michael Kors Collection Resort 2018 floral frock brought a boldly printed twist to Sofia’s comfortable, no-nonsense style.
