Jhene Aiko In For Restless Sleepers & Big Sean In Bally – 2017 BET Awards

Jhene Aiko and Big Sean co-ordinated their looks at the 2017 BET Awards on Sunday (June 25) in LA.

Jhene Aiko: There was a laid-back feel to this look, which can be seen in the robe style wrap design and floor sweeping length of this For Restless Sleepers dress. Jhene saved this ensemble from looking like nightwear with the glamorous addition of feminine ankle tie Schutz shoes and an Anndra Neen bag.

Big Sean: Echoing the maroon-pink colour scheme, Big Sean opted for a velvet take on the sports lux look with his Bally tracksuit. I particularly like the formal tailored trousers which have a casual cuffed finish. The addition of a plain white Stella McCartney T-shirt and Gucci sneakers breaks up the heavy velvet and brings some cohesion.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s a look at what the men have been serving up on the red carpet of late.

Josh Duhamel: At the China premiere for ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ on Tuesday (June 13), Josh let fellow attendees Isabela Moner and Laura Haddock take top fashion billing. His neutral suit by The Kooples wasn’t quite so memorable, and I wish the creased fit had presented better.

Jaime Foxx: Jamie joined Lily James at the ‘Baby Driver’ LA premiere on Wednesday (June 14), where his polka-dot suit was the right mix of suave, spirited and sophisticated. It’s always nice to see something outside the standard suiting work so well on the red carpet.

Tom Holland: At a Madrid photocall for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ with Zendaya on Wednesday (June 14), Tom kept his style to off-duty superhero vibes in a casual and cool ensemble from The Kooples paired with a Miansai dove pendant necklace. While the slouchy denim and high-top sneakers can be a hard sell, he pulls it off here.

2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The men also had their moment at the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday (May 7) in LA, with a range of experimental looks.

Zac Efron: The ‘Baywatch’ hunk may have been in all-white, but that didn’t keep this ensemble from having an edgy attitude. The holographic sheen of his jacket and the distressed, ripped denim made sure of that.

Brandon Flynn
: Tapestry took on a new, low-key meaning with this Saint Laurent Spring 2017 patterned bomber jacket from the women’s collection, styled with black denim and a John Hardy bracelet.

Tommy Dorfman: Apologies to Zara Larsson, but Tommy gets the prize for the real go-go boots of the night with these DSquared2 Spring 2017 designs. I really couldn’t take the rest of the look seriously if I tried, given that footwear. But, this Vivienne Westwood MAN Fall 2017 dudes-in-dresses moment certainly had enough chutzpah to compete with the glitter.

Freida Pinto In Bally – Showtime’s ‘Guerrilla’ FYC Event

Freida Pinto was pretty in pink at Showtime’s ‘Guerrilla’ FYC Event on Thursday (April 13) in Beverly Hills, California.

Lately, the actress has played favourites with strong prints and patterning. But, here, we see a break from that bold, graphic mood with this mauve Bally double-breasted suit.

Freida is so lovely in bright colours, so I’m glad that she attempted to bring in more vibrancy with a fuchsia lip.

I would have skipped i.v.i. necklace for a sleeker stylistic approach, but it does play into her Stuart Weitzman metallic sandals.

Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards Menswear Roundup

It wasn’t just about the girls at the Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday (April 2) in West Hollywood, as a few guys also showed off their sartorial attitude.

Matthew Noszka: The model displayed his star power in a Ports 1961 star-embossed suit paired with Max Verre loafers. I think I would have liked this look more with a plain button-down or tee as opposed to the ruffle tux shirt, as it made it feel a bit forced.

Nick Jonas: Suave in a double-breasted Bally Spring 2017 chocolate-brown suit, Nick balanced style-forward appeal with a sense of ease.

Shaun Ross: Known for his avant-garde edge, it’s no surprise the model was his own version of a red-carpet warrior in this Ports 1961 Fall 2016 robe-like ensemble complete with a gladiator belt and heavy-duty platform boots. Costume-quality aside, it looked rather warmish as he’s clearly not ready for the spring.
