Last night Julianne Moore, Tom Ford and Colin Firth attended the Paris premiere of “A Single Man”.

The beautiful redheaded actress – who I’ve put on a pedestal with Cate Blanchett – was glowing.

She wore a pink silk cloque Balenciaga gown, which doesn’t appear on the runway as it was custom-made.

At first I was bothered by the large waist belt, but without it the dress would’ve been totally shapeless.

It’s a stunning gown and I love the gold shimmer and what appears to be a cape at the back.

As always Julianne keeps things interesting on the red carpet.

As I said yesterday we saw many re-runs on the SAG Awards red carpet.

Mostly notable was this stunning Balenciaga Fall 2009 printed gown which we first saw on Salma Hayek at the 33rd Annual Cairo International Film Festival in Egypt last November.

The actress was there to receive an honorary award during the opening ceremony.

She didn’t belt her gown unlike Meryl Streep who looked outstanding on the SAGs red carpet.

The black belt make her look more interesting, plus her green earrings complement her look perfectly.

This is the best I’ve ever seen Meryl on the red carpet, she easily wins this for me.

Yet Another Re-Run/J’Adore Award

I’m already preferring the red carpet looks from the SAG Awards in comparison to Globes.

Meryl Streep gave me my first sharp intake of breath of the night wearing a Balenciaga satin print gown from the Fall 2009 collection.

This was unfortunately another re-run as Salma Hayek wore this gown to the 33rd Annual Cairo International Film Festival last year, but that takes nothing away from how fabulous Meryl looks.

She accessorized her look with a black leather belt and a black clutch.

Definitely one of the best of the night.

Best Dressed Award

I was a bit underwhelmed by this red carpet until I saw Diane Kruger.

Ever since I attended the Christian Lacroix Spring 2009 Couture show in January last year I’ve been praying to see this gown on the red carpet.

Diane more than does this stunning pink ombre gown justice. The colour really pops on the soggy red carpet on a cold and rainy night in LA.

I love the sleek old Hollywood hairstyle. She was really out to impress.

Her white Raven Kauffman Couture clutch matched the pretty white bow on the side of her dress.

Most Predictable Award

There would’ve been no prizes for guessing that Marion Cotillard would wear Christian Dior.

Style.com even predicted that exact dress she would wear.

Being the face of ‘Lady Dior’ helps, plus when we see her in Dior we always get spectacular results.

Her petrol green satin asymmetrical Spring 2010 dress has a thigh-high split with a black négligée peeping through.

Jimmy Choo ‘Drake’ sandals and Chopard jewels complete her look.

Biggest Shock Award

Courteney Cox walked the red carpet last night wearing a black strapless dress from Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2010 collection.

Like most pieces from VB’s collection the dress was well structured and had a ‘top to hem’ zipper along the back.

I liked the jeweled detail on the empire waist, and the chic updo Courteney sported.

Normally I don’t care much for Courteney on the red carpet, but she really surprised me by how great she looked.

She carried a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch.

Her husband actor David Arquette dutifully kept her dry from the pouring rain.

Best Couture Award

This is definitely one of those ‘better on screen look’s.  Unfortunately the picture isn’t doing Drew Barrymore any favours.

Her Atelier Versace Fall 2009 one shoulder champagne gown was stunning.

The nude corset was covered by a nude crystallized overlay, with two clusters of glass fringes on the shoulder and the hip.

Her hair was swept back as not to interfere with the details, as the actress wore Lorraine Schwartz jewels to complete her look.

It’s A Grower Award

I’ve been going back and forth with Julianne Moore.

I was just about to put her on the Worst Dressed list, when I decided that her Balenciaga Pre-Fall 2008 dress wasn’t as bad as I first thought.  Mostly because she looks so elegant.

The grey colour initially put me off this silk bustier gown, but I really like the pleated lace detailed neckline and her green Bvlgari earrings were magnificent.

Black suede Balenciaga stingray sandals complete the look.

Beautiful, Even When Slightly Wet Award

Chloe Sevigny would’ve been the most worried about getting her rose Valentino sleeveless gown wet as it would’ve deflated those beautiful ruffles.

But she was lucky to have a someone to help shield her dress from the rain.

Buccellati jewels complete the look.

Va Va Voom ‘Jessica Rabbit’ Award

Christina Hendricks has the most amazing body, which she always dresses so well.

She leaves me breathless in this stunning Christian Siriano Spring 2010 gown which was custom-made to hug those delicious curves.

She carried a Christian Loubuotin ‘Kephron’ silver clutch and wore Loree Rodkin jewels. Read more…

Jennifer Connelly may have been replaced as the face of Balenciaga, but that hasn’t stopped the actress staying loyal to the brand.

In New York yesterday she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater for her appearance on the “Late Show With David Letterman” wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga.

Normally I would cringe at tights and peep-toe heels, but they work so well with her overall look.

The main focus of this look is that stunning multi-coloured fringed leather skirt with a banded low-slung waist.

This is the perfect mix of preppy and edgy.

A look she always pulls off so well.

I adore her here.

Here’s the first release from the Balenciaga Spring 2010 ad campaign.

Kim Kardashian arrived at a pre-New Year’s Eve bash at Eva Longoria Parker’s luxurious new nightclub, Eve in Las Vegas last month.

As much as I have wanted to see more from the Balenciaga Fall 2009 collection on the red carpet, I’m really not feeling this look on Kim Kardashian.

I’m not being snobby by disliking it because she’s a reality TV star, that’s only 5% of the problem.

Firstly she’s way too busty for this dress. A bandeau or a lining would’ve been preferred. I feel like she only picked this look to show off her bra.

The dress is supposed to be a slightly dropped at the waist, but the band around the waist sits too high on Kim, no doubt because of her famous asset.

This will also be the reason why the skirt appears to be shorter.

If she was going to wear an edgy look, a sexier shoe would have been preferred.

Sorry Kim, but the only thing I like about this look is the clutch.

What do you guys think?

2009 New York Variety Screening Series “A Single Man”, New York

I like the black pants Julianne Moore wore with her Balanciaga Fall 2009 blouse and lace bandeau, but I would’ve preferred the runway grey on her.

The grey is less heavy.

X-Factor Runners Up At Gatwick, London

X Factor runners up Stacey Soloman and Olly Murs made an appearance at Gatwick Airport today as part of the airport’s Christmas celebrations, which gave passengers the chance to sing to win at trip to see the Northern Lights – hopefully not on British Airways.

Stacey wore a bordeaux Temperley London Alexandria embellished silk tunic with cream peep-toes, which we recently saw on WAG Amanda Carrington.

12 mins 50 secs and counting.

“Did You Hear About The Morgans?” New York Premiere

Elisabeth Moss wore a Luella corseted jacquard mini dress from the Fall 2009 collection with black pumps.

Not my favourite look from her.

I really expected Sarah Jessica Parker to bring it at the New York preimere of her movie, but I was sadly disappointed.

At the London premiere she braved the elements wearing a L’Wren Scott mini dress, but on this occasion she kept it very simple with a chiffon dress with a leaf detail.

I don’t hate the look, but I just expected a bit more.

I do however love her Nicholas Kirkwood python cut-out platform heels.

I love this grey dress on Cynthia Nixon.

That draped detail is so subtly sexy.

Her silver peep-toes are a bit special too.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Woot woot. Not a corset in sight.

Leona Lewis appears to have weaned herself off wearing those darn corset belts.

I wonder how she’s holding up going cold turkey.

The vegan singer looks gorgeous wearing black jeans, a cropped jacket, a striped top, faux leather thigh-high boots whilst carrying a Stella McCartney chain-embellished faux leather bag.

Zoe Saldana wore a look by L’Agence which included a L’Agence Jersey scoop-neck top, white ultra skinny jeans and a grey blazer.

I love it when stars dress down and get it so right.
