Ashley Judd took a Spring-like turn on the red carpet of the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner last night (April 25) at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.
The actress wore a lavender, watercolor-print Badgley Mischka gown with a sweetheart neckline and waistline ruching with silver ankle-strap pumps and clutch and a few well-placed jewels.
Radiant skin with sun-kissed cheeks, glossy lips and soft curls accented with a floral fascinator complete the fresh look.
I just cannot get on board with this fashion statement for this event. While the dress is gorgeous, it doesn’t quite fit with the occasion, and by taking the theme so far with the floral headpiece, Ashley has stepped squarely into a costumey place she just doesn’t need to be. At another event, this could have been divine, but it feels out of place at a political dinner.
Do you agree with me? Or do you love Ashley’s celebration of Spring?
