Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Many of you thought Rachel McAdams was slightly overdressed for the screening of her new movie, “Midnight in Paris” yesterday.

She later changed into an Azzaro Fall 2011 jumpsuit for the after party at the Soho Grand Hotel.

Whilst I’m not sure I 100% agree that she was overdressed, I do think this black tuxedo jumpsuit would have worked better for a discreet screening.

I love the black bow tie and beaded button detailing.

I used to be a huge fan of Paz Vega, but her style choices haven’t impressed me in a long while.

That didn’t changed when she arrived on the red carpet this afternoon for the 2011 Cannes Film Festival “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” Premiere.

Her Azzaro Fall 2010 dove grey jumpsuit wasn’t a great red carpet choice for this prestigious stage.

I really like the embellished collar and the bow on the waist, but I don’t like how the pants are fitted around the ankle. A looser fit would’ve been preferred.

I do love her rose accented Roger Vivier shoes, but not with this jumpsuit.

Carey Mulligan wore the dress version of this look at last years’ festival.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Tonight Emily Browning joined her co-stars on the red carpet at the Vue Leicester Square in London for the premiere of their new movie, “Sucker Punch.”

The actress opted to wear an Azzaro ‘Justine’ dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

Her dazzling navy dress with crystal embellishments is also accented with a signature bow and mesh front panel.

It’s a show-stopping dress, but I can’t help but feeling like the young actress let herself down in the footwear department.

Just close your eyes and imagine how much better this would’ve been with dainty silver sandals.

Azzaro Fall 2011

The Azzaro Fall 2011 presentation was held at their showroom on the very chic rue de Faubourg St Honore during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday.

The collection was presented to a very imitate crowd. My slot was at the end of the day so I welcomed the tea and macaroons.

Two models took it in turns to showcase the collection.

Between quick changes the Azzaro team showed us shoes, jewelry, bags and other pieces of clothing from the Fall 2011 collection.

The colour palette was mostly black and white with some gold lace embroidered and printed looks presented as well.

I was pleased to see the continuation of the velvet black bows which accented several pieces.

I fell in love with the ruffled white dress with black trims. I can picture that look on Elle Fanning.

Along with the sweet feminine dresses, we also saw the sexy side of the Azzaro woman.

Plenty of plunging necklines. One black jumpsuit had a crystal encrusted plunging neckline and another had lace panels running down the side.

Vanessa Seward was inspired by light, transparency and her definition of true seduction, always emitting room for fantasy and imagination.

Key accessories included voilette lace and mesh caps; mesh-like butterflies placed on necklaces, long pendants and belts plus mesh boots and pumps.

Favourites: White ruffled dress and gold lace tunic embroidered with rhinestones

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Elle Fanning, Michelle Williams, Emily Blunt and Demi Moore

Diane Kruger is fully embracing the LWD trend this week.

Tonight in LA she attended the “Unknown” LA Premiere wearing a white lace Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2011 dress.

I love that Diane always lets the dress to the talking.

Her embellished mini dress is simply styled with a pulled back hairstyle, glossy lips and nude Brian Atwood pumps.

Diane’s second event was the Gotham Magazine fashion week soiree which was held at the Paramount Hotel in New York City.

She wore an Azzaro Spring 2011 ‘Jazz’ mini dress with a studded silver detail going down one side.

On this occasion she opted to amp up her look with Brian Atwood black and white python ‘Super Charged’ booties.

Both looks are perfectly styled for each occasion.

Which look do you prefer?
