Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture – 2013 Met Gala

Diane Kruger and her handsome man, Joshua Jackson, attended the 2013 Met Gala at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While he hit a prepster note, our fashion-girl found her inner punk-party gal with a Chanel Spring 2013 Couture dress.

The luxed-up, black lacy frock featured a sheer, gauzy overlay, which gave it a vampy vibe.

On Monday night, we also saw ‘Vogue’ editrix and gala co-chair Anna Wintour, along with Bella Heathcote, in looks from this Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2013 couture collection. But Diane’s exit was the most dark and gothic of the three.

She accessorized with Jacob & Co. chunky chain bangles and a clutch that was truly spiked and dangerous.

Her dip-dyed blonde strands sported a bubble-gum pink shade, which added some unorthodox—and fun—edge to her low, knotted-up ponytail.

All in all, the look was simultaneously glamorous and subversive… we should have expected as much from Diane.

Karolina Kurkova In Mary Katrantzou – 2013 Met Gala

Karolina Kurkova took the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala in New York City on Monday evening.

The Czech supermodel worked a custom Mary Katrantzou one-sleeve mini dress with a 3-D effect skirt to perfection.

Her multi-print dress may come off as too busy for some, but she has the style, confidence and attitude to make it work.

Studded ankle-strap pumps, a slicked back hairdo, extreme smoky eyes and a nude pout completed the look.

I had no doubt that Karolina would fully embrace the theme.

Katy Perry In Dolce & Gabbana – 2013 Met Gala

Quirky Katy Perry came back out to play at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night in New York City.

And what a perfect event for her to give us some drama – Katy style.

She donned one of the opulent embellished pieces from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 collection.

The ‘Joan of Arc’ gown which she styled with a crown, crucifix earrings and a dark pout, was kinda let down with unimaginative pumps.

There were far better choices from the Dolce & Gabbana runway that she could’ve selected.

Were you let down by the heels, or are you too busy taking in the rest of her look to worry about her footwear?

Blake Lively In Gucci Première – 2013 Met Gala

Blake Lively shunned punk for high glamour on Monday night for the 2013 Met Gala in New York City.

Taking to the red carpet solo, the actress and face of Gucci Première did the brand proud giving us our blonde bombshell moment.

While some of you will be disappointed that this gown wasn’t saved for Cannes perhaps, I’m glad that we have yet another diva moment…the first coming from Beyonce of course.

Her pale-green strapless Gucci confection featured a dramatic skirt with layers of black organza adorned with silver and matte black feather motif embroidered details. Blake styled the gown with her favourite jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, who supplied the opulent chain tassel champagne diamond earrings.

A bunched ponytail completed her look.

Any Blake Lively look is a marmite look, so do you love it or loathe it?

Emma Watson In Prabal Gurung – 2013 Met Gala

Emma Watson finally broke her run of wearing mini printed dresses when she took to the red carpet on Monday evening for the 2013 Met Gala in New York City.

The British actress opted for a New York based designer, wearing a Prabal Gurung custom made gown inspired by the Fall 2013 collection.

Her silk crepe satin gown with cut-outs and a thigh high slit shows an even more confident side to the young actress. She really does love to show off those legs.

Black Rupert Sanderson ‘Selma’ t-bar pumps, Fred Leighton earrings including a diamond stud and a diamond and black enamel dart pendant earring and a simple bun completed her look.
