Red Carpet Fashion Awards

BDOTW 11 1

It was a busy weekend with the Baby2Baby Gala, BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards, EMAs, AFI Fest premieres and two sightings of Blake Lively, so I hope you go back a few pages to catch up.

Kate Hudson swept you off your feet this week so you crowned her best dressed in her gorgeous Gucci gown.

I, on the other hand, opted for Gisele Bündchen in Atelier Versace. There were many wow moments this week, but this one made me feel very nostalgic and reminisce on the real supermodel era.

When it came to the fellas, our selections differed too. You loved Tom Hiddleston, and who can blame you? The guy knows how to wear a suit with such confidence.

Pharrell Williams got my vote in Lanvin. He looked uber cool and savvy and only narrowly beat out Gerard Butler, who looked very cool in all blue.

Gisele Bundchen In Atelier Versace - WSJ Magazine's 'Innovator of the Year' Awards 2013

Gisele Bündchen attended WSJ Magazine’s ‘Innovator of the Year’ Awards 2013 held at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City following an epic turn on the runway during Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil.

If you are anything like me you are thinking that this Atelier Versace Fall 2013 midnight-blue beaded cocktail dress with a deep plunging neckline is very much expected, as are her blown-out waves and flawless makeup, but it still renders you speechless and picking your jaw off the fall.

Predictable? Yes; Stunning? Abso-friggin-lutely – which is why Versace and Gisele have always been a match made in fashion heaven.

Heidi Klum In Atelier Versace - 2013 Emmy Awards

Heidi Klum shimmered down the red carpet at tonight’s 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Strutting out an Atelier Versace Fall 2013 dress, the ‘Project Runway’ host captured no shortage of stares with the structural, body-con silhouette that nearly formed a shell around her statuesque figure.

The enticing colour was perhaps best described as ‘pomegranate’ by Heidi’s plus-one on the red carpet, ‘Project Runway’ mentor Tim Gunn.

With the strong neck collar, there was a bit of dazzling dominatrix spirit to this look, which Heidi managed to downplay with her soft nude makeup tones and brushed-back ponytail.

Matching Lorraine Schwartz gemstone studs accessorized the look appropriately, when there was already so much shiny surface area.

Naomi Campbell In Atelier Versace - 2013 Novak Djokovic Benefit Dinner

Naomi Campbell worked a temporary short black bobbed wig while attending The 2013 Novak Djokovic Benefit Dinner at Capitale on Tuesday in New York City.

There has been a mini revival of Gianni Versace looks on the red carpet thanks to the likes of Miley Cyrus and Kat Graham, who have worn pieces from the brand’s 1992 bondage collection on the red carpet recently.

Back in 1992 the starlets were just born and two years old respectively when a fresh-faced 22-year-old Naomi was featured in the Atelier Versace Fall 1992 ad campaign wearing this black strap-detailed dress sans the signature Medusa buttons.

Cut to 21 years later and Naomi looks better than ever wearing the same black gown, this time with black sandals with gold trim from Fendi and silver earrings.

This is the very reason we dub them supermodels. Their special powers are to not age, or in most cases to get better with age.

Jessica Chastain In Atelier Versace - 'The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby Him And Her' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Actress Jessica Chastain also had her producer’s hat on while attending ‘The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby: Him And Her’ premiere during the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival held at The Elgin yesterday evening in Toronto, Canada.

She looked divine wearing a dreamy turquoise Atelier Versace chiffon dress with an asymmetrical hem and draped detail from the nipped-in waist.

The reason this look is so dreamy is because the colour complements both her pale skin and her flame-red hair, plus with minimal makeup her aquamarine Irene Neuwirth earrings really brings out her green eyes.
