2010 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala – Elizabeth Banks In Atelier Versace

FINALLY…it’s been 9 whole days since the start of Cannes Film Festival and I’ve been having serious withdrawal symptoms like many of you from the lack of Versace at this event.

Elizabeth Banks heard our pleas, as she graced the red carpet at the 2010 amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala this evening wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2009 gown.

Her pink embellished halter gown is beautiful, but I don’t like it on her.

It’s almost the same pink as her previous look, but on this occasion it doesn’t work for me as she looks totally washed out.

She also totally kills the look stone dead with her hair.

The messy cornrow is literally sending cold shivers down my spine.

I had to laugh when I saw this picture, because my expression was exactly the same.

She should’ve never styled her hair like this with roots that deep.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Melania Trump In Christian Siriano & Ivanka Trump In Atelier Versace

Both Trump ladies looked stunning at the Costume Institute Gala last night.

Melania Trump looked amazing wearing a Christian Siriano custom-made gown.

The royal blue gown has a draped bodice and a skirt full with tucks and gathers creating a cascading wave.

The dress is very sculptural, but also very romantic.

Manolo Blahnik shoes, a Rodo clutch and Harry Winston jewels completed her look.

Ivanka Trump wore an Atelier Versace gown.

Her beaded lilac gown had a silk chiffon beaded petal train which she wore with silver Versace sandals.

She of course finished her look with her own Ivanka Trump jewels.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Donatella Versace In Atelier Versace

Donatella Versace designed a stunning gown for herself for the Costume Institute Gala.

Her gold lame strapless Atelier Versace gown has a lot more pizazz than her previous red carpet appearance.

I love how she’s teased her hair and the lack of accessories.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala – Jessica Szohr In Atelier Versace

Jessica Szohr arrived at the 2010 Costume Institute Gala tonight wearing Atelier Versace.

Her nude silk tulle halter-neck gown was covered in floral black embroidery.

My first reaction was that I didn’t like it, but it’s grown on me very quickly as she’s working it plus I love the colour against her caramel skin.

Her hair and make-up however is flawless.

Love it or leave it?

2010 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner – Donatella Versace In Atelier Versace

For the second year in a row Donatella Versace attended the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington DC.

Like last year she wore a modified Atelier Versace gown.

I loved this purple Atelier Versace Spring 2010 one-shoulder gown when it was presented.

Many of you want to see Taylor Swift, Blake Lively or Zoe Saldana wear this gown.

If they do I hope they wear the presented version, because Donatella’s modified version is not blowing me away.

Whilst I understand she doesn’t like to show too much skin, I would’ve liked her version more had she kept the turquoise details.

But then this is a White House Dinner and not a red carpet event in Cannes, so I guess it is modified to suit the occasion.

Atelier Versace At Harrods London

Last night I went to Harrods in Knightsbridge, London to view the stunning Atelier Versace gowns on display.

The exact gowns as worn by Charlize Theron (Venice Film Festival, 2008), January Jones (2009 Emmy Awards), Kate Hudson (“Nine” London Premiere 2009), Drew Barrymore (Golden Globes 2010) and Shakira (Whitney Museum Gala 2009) are all on display for 1 week only.

I knew I was going to be blown away, but in person the gowns are even more breath-taking.

I was particularly fascinated by Drew Barrymore’s Atelier Versace one shoulder champagne silk chiffon gown. The gown has a visible nude corset underneath and those two amazing clusters of glass fringes on the shoulder and the hip.

The gowns are on display for customers to order, and for people like me who like to dream of one day walking up the Met Gala steps in a Atelier Versace gown *doesn’t want to wake up from dream*.
