Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Whitney Port joined her former Elle colleagues to help celebrate Women in Hollywood at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, yesterday evening.

If you’re thinking that Whitney is wearing a look from her recently presented Spring 2013 collection, you’d sadly be wrong.

Unlike her former ‘The Hills’ co-star Lauren Conrad, Whitney opted not to promote her own line, but promote ASOS instead.

Whitney’s white halter dress with an open back and white-and-silver sequin embellishments was styled with Jerome C. Rousseau silver-and-nude sandals and silver jewels.

I love the voluminous curly half-up, half-down hairstyle.

Elizabeth Olsen attended a photocall for her latest movie ‘Liberal Arts’ on Sunday in London.

As we know, her sisters run a very successful high-end clothing line, but Elizabeth opted for high-street basics for her look.

A simple white Topshop blazer was teamed with a simpler black top and an ASOS high-waisted black leather pencil skirt.

Her black-and-white ensemble was accessorized with black open-toe sandals.

Even though her look is from Topshop and ASOS, you would be forgiven if you did think this was from The Row as they produce the same simple chic, everyday basics which feature in this look.

Carly Rae Jepsen matched the high end with the virtual high street for an appearance at BBC Radio 1 Studios in London yesterday.

The Canadian pop sensation chose a pair of Cicada Print Helmut Lang leggings for the event, which she paired with ASOS’ neon and black Hugo strappy sandals.

The ensemble is a little ‘out there’ for my tastes, but on Carly Rae, it seems to work well – particularly as she’s carried the neon theme onto her sheer blouse as well.

The only hitch is the red-rimmed glasses and unkempt hair, but this is nothing that black shades and a brush couldn’t fix.

Carly is wearing two Jane Basch Designs name plate necklaces – one that says “Carly Rae” and the other that says “kiss” (for her new album “Kiss”).

When I saw this picture of Eva Longoria leaving her Beso Restaurant in Hollywood, California, on Tuesday evening, I quickly assumed that she was wearing a Victoria Beckham dress.

I was wrong. The sexy red pencil dress is actually by ASOS. I’m sure VB will forgive me as the fitted frock is very similar to the ones she designs, plus Eva is known for wearing many VB dresses.

Eva’s stretch jersey sheath dress featuring a slashed neckline, short structured sleeves, pleated detailing at the bust, curved detailing at the sides, and side pockets was styled with Charlotte Olympia ‘Dolly’ pumps.

I’m sure you are as shocked as I am that she’s not wearing Atwoods.

The actress added a black clutch to her cheap and chic dress with beautiful soft curls tumbling down her back and on-trend bright blue nail colour.

British singer Rita Ora covers the September issue of ASOS magazine wearing a bespoke bomber jacket designed by ASOS with an ASOS patchwork shirt.

Despite being dubbed “The Next Rihanna” by music insiders and “Fashion’s Next Big Thing” Rita seems to be taking things in her stride by not getting caught up in the hype.

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter shared that she would rather rock her collection of Air Jordans over stilettos any day of the week.

As you would expect, the editorial – shot by Tyrone Lebon – sees Rita wearing a captivating mix of sassy, sweet and edgy pieces with plenty of studs and spikes.

Should we be worried that Rita quotes her style crush as Kanye West?

See more extracts from her interview below.

On her favorite designer: “I’m really into Ashley Williams. She’s British, so young and fresh.” Read more…
