Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Roxane Mesquida sparkled at the ‘Kiss of the Damned’ photocall during the 2012 Venice Film Festival.

For the event, Roxane wore a Giorgio Armani dress from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection.

This is the second time this week that this dress has a caught our eye – the first was on Nieves Alvarez and now here we have Roxane.

I think I prefer Roxane’s interpretation over Nieves. The 50s sci-fi cut and galaxy-esque embellishments need a strong attitude to make it shine, and Rozane definitely has the edge.

Laetitia Casta hasn’t wowed many of you during the 2012 Venice Film Festival as both her Elie Saab Couture and Dolce & Gabbana dresses received mostly negative comments.

On Saturday evening she took to the red carpet for the ‘L’Homme Qui Rit’ Venice Film Festival premiere wearing a Chanel Fall 2012 Couture breath-taking pink gown.

From the floral appliqués, to the screen-siren hairdo, to the beautiful red lips and the stunning jewels, I’m totally blown away by this look.

Anna Kendrick took the red carpet for the Toronto Film Festival premiere of her latest movie, ‘End Of Watch’ last night.

The actress wore a black Elie Saab Fall 2012 gown.

Her black long sleeve gown with net lace detail is beautiful, but I’m not excited about seeing it on Anna, especially as I had mentally reserved it for Angelina Jolie.

At first I blamed the poor photography at this event, but I realized I was just making excuses and settled on the fact that this is just not working for me.

Someone taller and with more presence was needed to pull this off.

Kate Hudson looked stunning as she took to the red carpet for ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ premiere during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival yesterday evening.

I’m not sure what’s happening lately, but there has been an undeniable radiant glow about Kate since Venice Film Festival.

I have always loved her boho laidback approach to red carpet dressing, but this glossier, more refined approach is equally appreciated.

She wore a white Alexander McQueen gown long-sleeve gown featured padded shoulders silver embellishments and a central split.

A white and silver trimmed Alexander McQueen clutch, Tiffany & Co. Jewels, sleek golden locks and white pumps completed her look.

I’m not totally offended by the pumps, but if she had to go for a white shoe I wish it had been a strappy sandal.

Ashley Benson continued on her single colour bender for the premiere of ‘Spring Breakers’ at the Venice Film Festival last night.

For the evening event, she wore a stunning royal blue Alberta Ferretti gown.

The column dress skims her body to perfection and the beaded details add an interesting accent, making the look a huge step up from her neutral photocall ensemble.

Ashley kept her accessories, which included rings by Dalla Nonna to a minimum, though the earrings by Dana Rebecca Designs packed a stunning punch.

Smokey eyes and an elegant updo added finesse to her look.

Ashley Benson kept things neutral for the ‘Spring Breakers’ photocall at the Venice Film Festival.

The actress wore an off-the-shoulder cream dress from Cacharel’s Fall 2011 collection for the event.

Unlike co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez, Ashley went for less is more. In comparison to the other two, there was no evidence of flowers or flounce in her look, which perhaps has gone too far in the other direction.

I would have enjoyed it more if she had added a coloured accessory. A bright belt, bag or shoe would’ve done the trick.

What do you think?
