Anna Kendrick In Giulietta - 'Mr

Anna Kendrick attended the ‘Mr. Right’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday (September 19) in Toronto, Canada.

Giulietta’s signature whimsical demeanour and immeasurable charm shines through with fit-and-flare sequin embellished design.

Keeping the look uber simple, she styled the look with Paul Andrew pumps.

Should she have added dainty sandals instead?

Anya Taylor-Joy In Prada – ‘The Witch’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Anya Taylor-Joy In Prada - ‘The Witch’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Anya Taylor-Joy attended ‘The Witch’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival held at Ryerson Theatre on Thursday (September 18) in Toronto, Canada.

Touted as the next big thing, the young actress was dress by Prada for her first major premiere.

While some may consider this a curse with Prada’s red carpet record, I have to say this burgundy chiffon gown with contrasting sashes and embellishments serves as an interesting starting point.

No doubt we will see how her style develops in the coming months, but she can definitely tick this off as a hit.

Thoughts?

FYI: She’s carrying a Yliana Yepez clutch.

‘The Final Girls’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

'The Final Girls' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Malin Akerman, Taissa Farmiga and Nina Dobrev attended the ‘Final Girls’ photocall during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson Theatre on Saturday (September 19) in Toronto, Canada.

Malin Akerman: I know what you’re thinking. This Valentino Spring 2015 gown is mighty dressy for a photocall. For me, that’s the least of Malin’s problems. Not only has it been worn three times before (Shailene Woodley, Fan Bingbing and Olivia Palermo), but the top half is incredibly unflattering.

Taissa Farmiga: The young starlet fared much better in her vivid girlie-chic Dolce & Gabbana macramé-lace pencil dress, even though her shoes were a snooze.

Nina Dobrev: Going against the grain, the actress wore a LBD courtesy of Versace. Translating black, this Fall 2015 green dress incorporates yellow Greek detail accents and cut out detailing for attention-grabbing effect. The look was styled with an Oroton ‘Frieze’ clutch and navy Alexa Wagner sandals.

Do you have a favourite? Or are you too busy thinking about the fact that these ladies look like they’re going to three different events?

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup 18 sept

Here’s the final roundup of the leading men who have been escorting their leading ladies down the red carpets of London and Toronto this week.

Adrien Brody: The actor joined Salma Hayek for the ‘Septembers of Shiraz’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto Film Festival on Tuesday (September 15).  Once again he was cultivating sophistication wearing a Dior Homme charcoal wool Prince de Galles suit.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor was looking oh so handsome on the red carpet for the ‘Mississippi Grind’ premiere during Toronto Film Festival on Wednesday (September 16). I love his navy Burberry Tailoring suit for its modern-classic vibes.

Dev Patel: While we usually associate the British actor with colourful suits, but he kept his Burberry Tailoring look simple, yet modern for ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’ Toronto Film Festival premiere on Thursday (September 17).  I love how he injected some personality into the look via the camo tie.

Diane Kruger In Prada – ‘Disorder’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Diane Kruger In Prada - 'Disorder' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Diane Kruger attended the ‘Disorder’ premiere during the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival at Roy Thomson Hall on Thursday (September 17) in Toronto, Canada.

For a split second I tried to convince myself to like this dress – because of the wearer – however, once I came to my senses I realized that this Prada dress is so beyond ugly that even Diane cannot sell it to me.

Visual overload, unflattering shape – what was she thinking?

Styled with a Rauwolf clutch and Prada sandals, when it comes to Diane, Prada and film festivals, she’s only had one hit out of three.

The only good thing about this look was the Joshua Jackson arm-candy.
