Some of you will never like Megan Fox no matter what she wears whether it’s a sophisticated Armani Prive dress or a sexy Donna Karen gown with a thigh-high split.

I loved the rose coloured Antonio Berardi Fall 2009 mini dress she wore to the “Jennifer’s Body” Hot Topic Fan Event in California last month.

The dress wasn’t trashy, it was sexy, it showed off her best assets plus I loved the ruffle detail cascading down her hip.

She wore her dress with gold Brian Atwood pumps and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Amber Rose wore the same dress to the “16th Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Tribute” in Beverly Hills last week with tan shoes.

As much as I do like this dress in red I will give this win to Megan, as Amber’s nameplate necklace gives this look a very tacky feel.

After the Antonio Berardi Spring 2010 presentation I went backstage to meet the designer.

He seemed very relaxed sipping on his Peroni beer as he was interviewed by several people before me.

In between interviews many people would give him a congratulatory hugs and kisses.

There were many kids backstage, who I guessed were family. These wide-eyed kids were totally in awe of Berardi, it was very touching to see.

Maybe he has inspired them to be designers of the future.

It’s obvious the type of woman Berardi designs for, but I wanted to hear him describe ‘her’ in his own words.

“She’s sexy and sensual and she’s feminine and at the same time she wears the pants.”

“I come from a Sicilian background and the women are ultra feminine, but at the same time they are strong. I like strong women, I like women who are in control. I like women with power and sense of humour and a sense of themselves.”

For this collection Berardi started off looking at underwear, and under dressing. He had an idea that if it was nude, it would be three dimensional as he wanted the pieces to feel exquisite, but at the same time he wanted the collection to still feel powerful.

As a result the tailoring is much stronger.

With regards to showing in London next season Berardi is unsure, as his return to London was very much a last minute decision and only possible with the help of Peroni.

Berardi gave thanks to the British Fashion Council for inviting him to show in London, the British press and celebrities wearing his clothes who he said, “let the world know I exist.”

With regards to Megan Fox wearing two of his pieces back to back he said, “I love her because she is the new Angelina. She’s hot, she’s strong and she’s sexy and I like that.”

September 22nd, 2009

As you may know this years London Fashion Week mark’s the 25 anniversary, and to commemorate this anniversary many London based designers returned to the capital.

Antonio Berardi who usually presents his collections during Paris Fashion Week, credits Peroni Nastro Azzuro for his return to the London.

The location for Berardi’s Spring 2010 was held at St. Marks Church in Mayfair. Patrons came from near and far to worship in the house of Berardi.

It was quite ironic that the location was in a church considering the pieces were so sinful.

The sexy leather, bustier dresses and sheer dresses should have had us all rushing to the confessional booths for drooling over the pieces and wanted them so badly.

Berardi also present dresses and cropped jacket with samurai shoulders, which was a new take on the bold shoulder.

Boyfriend blazers, laces sewn into dresses, brocade dresses, double peplum skirts, Kimono sleeved jackets and tops paired with skirts and pants toned down the more sexier pieces.

So many great pieces, but one that really stands out apart from the sheer mini dress was the grey embellished dress with a black wrap-around cape.

Swarovski crystals embellished many pieces which were blinding spectacular as they glided down the runway.

The models looked fabulous with their braided hair, porcelain skin and bright pink lips making them look like pretty dolls.

The colour palette was mostly black, white, and grey with pops of orange and cobalt blue.

This collection of mini dresses will no doubt delight his leggy celebrity followers Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and new fan Megan Fox.

Two great things happened at the show.

Firstly after a tiring day walking around London I was offered a ride home in a Peroni branded classic Fiat 500, and if that wasn’t enough I met the gorgeous David Gandy -Dolce & Gabbana uber model.

I DIE. Like Really.

When I showed my friend this picture she asked could I have held David any tighter. I could’ve but I may have cut his circulation. *winks*

Thanks to OOooOO I Want One Of Those for taking the picture of me and David.

“The Burning Plain” Los Angeles Premiere

It was always going to be a hard choice to pick the BDOTW, and now Charlize Theron has walked the red carpet glowing in a mustard Christian Dior Fall 2009 chiffon dress.

The amazing dress – which complements her skin-tone – has gold embroidery details on the shoulders and a matching gold belt.

The actress pairs her dress with matching Dior heels and a gold studded clutch.

“The Burning Plain” New York Premiere

For the New York premiere Charlize Theron wore a teal blue Givenchy Resort 2010 dress.

I wasn’t particularly crazy about the dress on the runway, as it had too much going on around the neckline.

Charlize simplified the dress, paired it with some ivory Givenchy heels and a black Bottega Veneta clutch for another stunningly effortless look.

“Jennifer’s Body” Hot Topic Fan Event, LA

I love Amanda Seyfried’s Marc Jacobs Resort 2010 look.

It has a chic Parisian feel to it with it’s prim and proper style.

The navy cropped jacket with black trims, is paired with black silk shorts, black pumps and a bedazzling clutch.

Like Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox is never at home because she’s always working the red carpet.

This time she opts for a charming dusky rose  Antonio Berardi Fall 2009 dress with a ruffle cascading down the hip.

She pairs her look with gold Brian Atwood pumps – which I don’t think work well with the dress – and a Judith Leiber clutch.

“Love And Other Impossible Pursuits” Screening, Toronto Film Festival

Natalie Portman braved a cold night to bring a bit of the tropics to Toronto, by wearing a colourful strapless Lanvin fuschia dahlia floral print mini dress.

I LOVE the colour of this dress, the slight rise and fall nature of the skirt and the rosette detail on the bust.

“Love And Other Impossible Pursuits” Press Conference, Toronto Film Festival

For the press conference black wide legged pants and a floral Chloé Resort 2010 blouse, was a simple but cute look for the actress off the red carpet.

Megan Fox didn’t walk the red carpet at the VMAs last night, as she was there only to present an award.

The actress purred her way through her segment wearing a black and white Antonio Berardi Fall 2009 – of course – mini dress.

I loved this dress when I saw it on the runway, with its white asymmetrical bodice and black tulip skirt.

It’s cute, fun, fresh and so very chic.

The picture is not doing Megan any favours because she looked better on TV.

Anna Friel has been injecting a lot of sassy edgier pieces in her closet recently, and she stays true to form wearing this sexy Antonio Berardi Fall 2009 black textured dress.

I love the sculptured shoulders, the square cut neckline and the fact that she didn’t wear tights with this dress. We had horrible weather this weekend in England as you can see from the moody clouds in the background.

Black heels and a black crocodile clutch complete this look.

Designer Saloni Lodha and Marissa Anschutz seem to be having a wonderful time.

Saloni is wearing a haltered dress from her own Spring 2009 collection which has a ruffled bib and a tiered skirt.

It’s perfect for a summers day, so it’s such a shame the bad weather made her wear a jacket and we don’t get to see all of the stunning details of her design.

Marissa was a more bold wearing her Saloni Cora strapless dress sans coat.

Her beige chiffon gathered strapless dress has mesh panel on the sides with a black velvet trim plus black and fluorescent pink chiffon detail and beading embellishment.

It’s a gorgeous dress, but I find my eyes drawn to her fuchsia pink Christian Louboutin Paquita satin sandals.

Neve Campbell doesn’t attend many events, so this is a rare treat.

The actress wore a multi-coloured tiered Moschino dress with black pumps.

The dress is nice, but the hairstyle ages her.

Honestly I almost didn’t recognise Ashley Roberts with so much clothing on.

Normally the most we see on her is a bra and hot pants when she’s performing with her group the PussyCat Dolls.

She really scrubs up well, looking very ladylike in her ravishing red Alexander McQueen pocketed dress with shoulder pads and a cowl neckline.

Naomie Harris’ cream demi-sheer D&G dress is instantly recognizable by the black appliqué butterfly detail on the neckline.

I love the ruffled hemline.

She did well wear the right coloured bra under this dress.

Lara Lewington is wearing the very popular Lipsy London zip edge strapless dress which only costs £35, whilst probably wearing thousands of pounds worth of Cartier jewels.

March 26th, 2009

Victoria Beckham was wearing so much black, and her own collection, that I was no longer looking forward to what she wore next.

Victoria didn’t stay stale for long.

In London, she went for dinner with Kate Beckinsale wearing a fuschia pink Antonio Berardi drop waist dress coat, totally outshining her companion.

Monica Cruz wore the same dress in black – which I believe was the right choice for her – to her sisters premiere of Los Abrazos Rotos.

It’s hard to compete with Victoria when she’s on the top her game, so VB wins for me.

Browns Fashion don’t have the black nor the pink, but they have this stunning electric blue version for sale for £1,115.00/€1,180.77/$1,611.51.
