Models @ The 2013 Met Gala

Here is a roundup of the models who took to the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night.

Cara Delevingne: Wearing Burberry, the British model nailed the theme, working a studded navy column dress with a plunging neckline. Her part-braided ‘do and studded clutch perfected her look. She was easily one of the best on the night.

Gisele Bundchen: The model wore an Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2013 black mini dress with revealing grommet detailing. You slammed Gwyneth for wearing a gown with sheer sides; does Gisele get a pass?

Karlie Kloss: I never thought I would say this about Karlie: she looks frumpy. Ever since she chopped off her locks she has lost her mojo. This Louis Vuitton granny-chic look ages her about 40 years. Betty White would look better in this frock.

3rd Annual Inspiration Gala São Paulo Red Carpet Round Up

A host of supermodels took to the red carpet for the third annual Inspiration Gala São Paulo on Saturday evening.

Renata Kuerten: The Brazilian model added some spice to the red carpet, wearing an Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2012 one-sleeve black gown with her right boob almost popping out – you may remember that Cassie wore the same gown to the GQ Awards late last year. I will be glad when celebs move on from this collection as the shock factor no longer applies and it’s starting to become tired.

Isabeli Fontana: Speaking of becoming tired, Isabeli wore a look from the much-worn Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 collection. Just when we thought that maybe we had seen the end of the chequered-print phase on the red carpet, the model reignites it wearing this yellow-and-white long-sleeved dress. The dress isn’t too jarring, I must admit, but both her heavy makeup and black peep-toes with this summery dress are. This is Isabeli’s second look from the Louis Vuittion Spring 2013 collection.

Izabel Goulart: Wearing a second-skin gown, the beaded Atelier Versace confection with a sexy side slit and sheer long sleeves is heavenly. This look would’ve been perfect had she lost the silver clutch; she needed something way more delicate.

Jennifer Lopez In Anthony Vaccarello – 2013 Grammy Awards

Jennifer Lopez pushed the limits of the 2013 Grammy Awards‘ tightened dress code, when she sizzled down the red carpet at California’s Staples Center on Sunday night.

She virtually wore only half of a gown with her Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2013 design; an asymmetrical wonder that exposed her entire (perfectly toned) right pin.

It was “a little shoulder and a little leg,” as JLo described it on the red carpet. But from where I was sitting, this was more like “a lot.”

That Angelina Jolie leg jut just won’t disappear.

While no one was paying attention to her accessories, she did increase the shine factor of the dress’s runway version with multiple rings and stacked bangles. More flash came with her sky-high, metallic-accented heels and a matching Jimmy Choo ‘Charlize’ clutch.

A high top knot, a bronze glow and dagger-shaped nails that were overlaid with gold leafing completed the look.

Too leggy or Grammys-appropriate glam?

Cassie In Anthony Vaccarello – GQ Men of the Year Party

Cassie Ventura arrived at the GQ Men of the Year party held at the Chateau Marmont in California last night without her beau, P. Diddy.

She is the latest celeb to fall in love with the Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2012 collection.

Her black maxi dress, featuring one long sleeve, a side slit, a cross-over waistband detail and a gold metallic panel covering one boob, was styled with black Jimmy Choo sandals.

While this is a good look for Cassie, it is also a very predictable one. I would’ve liked to have seen someone taller rock this look.

A black and white manicure and stud earrings provided the finishing touches.

2012 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After-Party

After the show came the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show after-party. The dress code was clearly short and sexy and the models were more than happy to oblige.

Miranda Kerr: Sending my girl crush into overdrive, Miranda looked uber sexy wearing a Balmain Spring 2013 black silk dress with padded shoulders and a plunging neckline. She styled her look with Jimmy Choo mesh open-toe ‘Callie’ booties and a black studded Jimmy Choo ‘Calista’ clutch with side swept locks. I have one word for this look; perfection.

Karlie Kloss: Following a recently photoshoot with American Vogue, Karlie’s locks were cut short, but she added extensions for the VS Fashion Show. She wore Kaufmanfranco liquid silver sequin dress with gold strappy sandals. I’m on a fan of mixing metals as you know, but I’m willing to give my girl a pass on this occasion.

Joan Smalls: I’m also going to give Joan a pass for this mesh Julien Macdonald Fall 2012 dress which leaves little to the imagination. I’m not a fan of the exposed panties look, but as she was exposing her briefs all night long on the runway, the red carpet wouldn’t have felt much different. Nicholas Kirkwood fringed sandals completed her look. Read more…
