For Fall 2012, Andrew Gn took us back to a romantic Victorian era “without frills and a darker edge”, as described in the show notes.
This collection was also full of mostly black looks with white, navy, emerald green, violet, deep prune and fuchsia shades.
The designer served up his signature razor-shar tailoring on brocade coats, mutton sleeves coats with fox epaulets, and cocoon jackets with bracelet sleeves.
We also saw beautiful silk georgette blouses with embroidered yokes, asymmetrical jersey dresses and fitted pants before a succession of gorgeous gowns.
My favourite was the striking emerald-green mousseline gown with lace and jet embroidery and the black-and-bronze silk-jacquard draped gown.
