Elizabeth Olsen Altuzarra – 1st Annual Environmental Media Association Honors Benefit Gala

After a brief flirtation with alternative looks during her promo tour for ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Elizabeth Olsen made a return to the red carpet for the Environmental Media Association 1st Annual Honors Benefit Gala on Saturday (June 9) in Los Angeles, California.

In this Altuzarra ‘Marceau’ dress from the Spring 2018 collection, Elizabeth presents a look just a notch above her signature low-key.

I love how this LBD is beautifully cut in a sheath silhouette that is bold, refined and designed with a cool asymmetric hem and spliced with clever button trim.

Keeping the tailored statement piece in the spotlight, Elizabeth added a red lip and simple black pumps.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley In Altuzarra – 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley accompanied Joseph Altuzarra to the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 4) held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.

Designers appear to be obsessed with reinventing the classic blazer, and Joseph Altuzarra is no different.

Here he successfully marries a cropped blazer and tailored crop top which showcased Rosie’s toned figure.

While I do prefer the leather trousers worn in the lookbook, I understand why Rosie opted for the breezy lace accented pants for her look – it is summer after all.

From yesterday’s look it’s clear you prefer glam Rosie, so I’ll be surprised if she sold this hybrid look to you.

‘Comediennes’: In Conversation at Netflix FYSEE

Gillian Jacobs and Logan Browning attended ‘Comediennes:’ In Conversation at Netflix FYSEE on Tuesday (May 29) in Los Angeles, California.

Gillian Jacobs: I was delighted to see the actress return to bold colours which originally made me fall in love with her style. Her Maje Fall 2017 dress, with a silhouette that appears to taps into the 80s, was covered in vibrant florals and emboldened by padded shoulders. With all that going on you would expect the dress to take centre stage, but it shared the spotlight with two-tone ankle strap pumps.

Logan Browning: Joseph Altuzarra’s fresh approach to modern, feminine tailoring is clearly demonstrated in this Spring 2018 look which sees an top and skirt combine to create a unique ensemble. Some might find the ribbons and the tassels a tad overwhelming, but in tying the ribbon she prevents the look from feeling too chaotic. Stuart Weitzman sandals and Swarovski jewels completed her look.

‘Hotel Artemis’ LA Premiere

The ‘Hotel Artemis’ premiere on Saturday (May 19) in Westwood, California was a monochromatic affair with many celebrities favoring black and white.

Sofia Boutella: The cloud-like ethereal beauty of the skirt in her Giambattista Valli Fall 2017 Haute Couture look was contrasted with the inky sparkle of the bodice. The black shoes help tie everything in, as does the black underskirt which is just visible from this angle.

Jenny Slate: The funny lady graced the red carpet in a romantic Rebecca Vallance gown. Some might get a bridal sentiment from the look, but her styling helped downplay the notion.

Taraji P. Henson In Altuzarra – 2018 Fox Network Upfront

The newly engaged Taraji P. Henson flaunted her ring—as well as her leg—at the 2018 Fox Network Upfront on Monday (May 14) in New York City.

Her Altuzarra Fall 2018 was a bit of a tease, though.

From one side, the whimsical feather-printed design could seem rather conservative, then the slit-to-there detail quickly reminds us that the ‘Empire’ actress hasn’t left her sultry side at home.

Christian Louboutin ‘Galeria’ sandals added some bling so that the ring wasn’t the only bit of flash.

I was still getting a retro ’70s vibe with the look, especially with her long black locks. How about you?

2018 NBCUniversal Upfront Presentation

The 2018 NBCUniversal Upfront presentation took place at the Rockefeller Center on Monday (May 14) in New York City, with a mixture of sexy, summery and chic styles.

Jenna Dewan: The ‘World of Dance’ host served up no surprises with her sparkling mini from her favoured designer, David Koma. Taking some styling inspo from the runway, and not Kendall Jenner (I will eventually let that go), Jenna added a bra rather than line the sheer bodice or go commando.

Christina Hendricks: Spring has finally sprung for Christina who tends to favour all black looks. The actress worked a wrap silhouette, detailed with stripes, flowers and frilled trims for a cutesy, kitsch finish, but it’s the Charlotte Olympia ‘I Carried A Watermelon embellished satin clutch which is the real star of the show here. I’m sure some might be put off by the twins. But she can either hide them, or celebrate them. I happy she’s gone for the latter.

Mandy Moore: The one person who you expected to wear colour at this event was Mandy Moore. Instead she went simple and chic in Altuzarra’s ‘Maxine’ dress from the Fall 2018 collection.
