Bérénice Bejo In Alexis Mabille - 'The Search' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Bérénice Bejo attended ‘The Search’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 21) in Cannes, France.

This was her premiere, but she pretty much faded into the background once the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Aishwarya Rai took to the red carpet.

The French actress wore a dark-blue silk-velvet Alexis Mabille long smoking strapless gown featuring a central slit and black silk duchesse trim.

While this isn’t a bad look, she should’ve saved it for a November premiere in London or New York.

A matching Alexis Mabille clutch, Chopard earrings and black pumps completed her look.

Lady Gaga In Alexis Mabille Couture - 2014 MusiCares Person Of The Year Honoring Carole King

Lady Gaga arrived at the 2014 MusiCares Person Of The Year Honoring Carole King on Friday (January 24) in Los Angeles, California.

Joining both Miley Cyrus and Rihanna in toning down the theatrics on the red carpet, Lady Gaga wore a stunning Alexis Mabille Spring 2014 Couture gown.

She styled her white keyhole gown, featuring a pleated bodice and bejewelled waistband, with metallic leather silver pumps and circular shades.

Is this her best red carpet look yet?

I would rank it in the top three. I’m floored by this gown.

Couture Wish List 1

With Fall 2013 Couture week behind us and the first piece already taken to the red carpet, here is a roundup of the looks I would love to see on the red carpet and who I would like to see wearing them.

Alexandre Vauthier Couture: This bedazzled and feathered confection has Grammys, Billboard Awards or MTV Music Awards written all over it, so this look gave me a bit of a conundrum. I would love to see it on Katy Perry because the blue would be divine against her pale skin and dark hair; however, with such a deep plunge and being so well endowed, it could be a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, so I switched my final choice to Jennifer Lopez, who would work that slit like no other.

Alexis Mabille Couture: While the burlesque queen Dita von Teese loves black, she does step out of her comfort zone from time to time. This puff-sleeved blouse and floral skirt combo would be a refreshing change. It would be too much to ask for the runway styling, as we all know she loves those retro waves and red lips, but I’m pretty confident she could pull this look off.

Dita von Teese In Alexis Mabille Couture - 'Global Gift Gala' 2013

Dita von Tesse attended the ‘Global Gift Gala’ 2013 held at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, France on Sunday evening.

She joined Berenice Bejo by selecting a look from the Alexis Mabile Spring 2013 Couture collection for her red carpet look.

Working her favoured colour, black, the burlesque star wore a double-breasted smoking dress with a satin shawl collar, belt and ellipse cut-out skirt.

Black accessories with signature pops of red completed her look.

Are you tired of this predictable look, or do you love that Dita continues to work this tried and tested red carpet formula?

Berenice Bejo In Alexis Mabille Couture - ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

As the star of the movie, Berenice Bejo took center stage on the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere of ‘Le Passé’ during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in France this evening.

My first words were “J’Adore”.

Starting to grow ever so slightly weary of predictable gowns (especially when worn over and over again by the same person) this was a breath of fresh air.

The French beauty wore an ever so memorable Alexis Mabile Spring 2013 gown.

I love her version of this look which features a navy double-breasted tailored blazer with satin lapels over an ivory strapless bustier gown with a lace tiered skirt.

The juxtaposition of the masculine-and-feminine sets my senses tingling to the top of my finger tips.

We have seen some great gowns at Cannes, but this was really a “wow” moment for me.

A super slicked back ponytail, Monique Pean grey ombré fossilized walrus ivory-and-smokey quartz geometric oval earrings with white diamond pavé and a quirky Olympia Le-Tan book clutch completed her look.
