Taraji P. Henson In Alexander Wang – 2015 Emmy Awards

Taraji P. Henson In Alexander Wang - 2015 Emmy Awards

Taraji P. Henson attended the 2015 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 20) at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Empire’ actress wore a custom Alexander Wang black gown with enticingly edgy chain-link straps accessorized with the designer’s custom ‘Chastity’ minaudière and ‘Antonia’ sandals.

While this look is right in line with the sultrier fashion mood she has been rocking of late, I was pleasantly surprised to see it fall on the right side of sexiness—sans major hip-exposing cutouts and all-out, see-through fabrics.

Fortunately, her bangs were likewise MIA. With this look, she is stepping more closely back to her once-regal red-carpet form.

Spike TV’s Guys Choice 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Spike TV's Guys Choice 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Spike TV’s ‘Guys Choice 2015’ at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California was hosted on Saturday (June 6), where a trio of girls were clearly having their own version of a white party.

Taraji P. Henson: The ‘Empire’ actress’s beautiful lace Monique Lhuillier jumpsuit, punctuated by a black belt, was sophisticated, sultry, and so close to being perfect. I didn’t even mind the white pumps on this occasion, but she should have just stopped there. The glittery Edie Parker clutch started pushing the envelope in the wrong direction with the tribal-like choker and earrings adding another stain on the white look. But who are we kidding—the hair ball was the real offender here.

Chanel Iman: Thankfully keeping her hair confined to a simple ponytail, the model successfully strutted the line between chic and sexy with a cutout Solace London ‘Goldie’ dress that was well accessorized with diamond jewels and a silver clutch.

Zoey Deutch: The ultra-minimalistic nature of this Alexander Wang frock made me appreciate the cutout detail in the back all the more. I wish she had at least opted for a sleeker black sandal in lieu of the heavy platform pump.

2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

2015 Critics' Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A crush of additional lovelies joined Charlize Theron and Cat Deeley at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, hosted at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (May 31) in Beverly Hills, California.

Angie Harmon: The actress was vibrant in a beautifully printed Christian Siriano Fall 2015 frock with a primly feminine tea-length skirt and a much sultrier, off-the-shoulder neckline that might have needed a nudge up. As is, it looks a bit close to a wardrobe malfunction.

Yvonne Strahovski
: The intense sky-blue hue of this Michael Kors Spring 2015 gown was enough to strike a beautiful chord in ‘The Astronaut Wives Club’ actress’s minimalistic silhouette. I love the additional punch of colour provided by the coral-red lip.

Anna Faris: Also opting for a sleekly simple aesthetic, Ana struck the right balance between subtle and striking with her ballet-pink ZAC Zac Posen Fall 2015 high-low dress. Keeping her accessories in line with the frock, she wore tonal Kurt Geiger London ‘Bond’ pumps and an Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch.

Miley Cyrus In Alexander Wang – 2015 Met Gala

Miley Cyrus In Alexander Wang - 2015 Met Gala

Miley Cyrus was also on the guest list at the 2015 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

Like Zoë Kravitz, Miley wore an Alexander Wang Fall 2015 black gown that was customized for the occasion. But, with the skin-baring cutouts, I’m finding even less of a thematic Chinese reference here.

In fact, a punk-rock mood was the first thing that came to mind with the all-over silver studs not to mention the singer’s lacquered blue-gray hair and ear cuffs.

Zoë Kravitz In Alexander Wang – 2015 Met Gala

Zoë Kravitz In Alexander Wang - 2015 Met Gala

Zoë Kravitz was also at the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala red carpet hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

Going the route of a glam Chinese warrior, the actress stunned in an Alexander Wang Fall 2015 sheer gown that served up plenty of attitude.

I actually love the modification of the runway design into a full gown to create a slinky, liquid chainmail effect.

Keeping her accessories to a minimum, she simply piled on the rings to go with that nose ring thus completing her signature edgy styling.
