Lady Gaga In Alexander Wang – Departing The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Lady Gaga In Alexander Wang - Departing The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Following her brief appearance on the debut episode of the ‘Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Lady Gaga returned to Rockefeller Center on Tuesday (February 18) in New York City to wow the crowd with a performance.

She was spotted leaving the venue wearing an Alexander Wang Spring 2014 white apron dress with a pleated skirt.

Showcasing plenty of side boob the unique dress also features a branded laser cut logo on the top and on the pleated skirt, which give a nod to the 90s-era logo craze.

She styled the look with dual-colour black-and-white open-toe platform heels from the same Alexander Wang Spring 2014 collection, completing her look with an American-Indian inspired Erickson Beamon feather mohawk headpiece.

Even with the headpiece, this is surprisingly subdued for Gaga.

30th Annual Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Red Carpet RoundUp

Fashion Star 1

A collection of other haute guests joined Miley Cyrus and Alexa Chung at the 30th Annual Night of Stars, presented by Fashion Group International, held yesterday at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Here, a look at their statement-making entrances.

Zoe Kravitz: The starlet assured us that the cropped top trend is still alive and kicking with an Alexander Wang ensemble featuring a reptilian-embossed bralette and high-waisted long skirt. With such a strong, skin-baring moment, I would have preferred to see slightly more understated styling, rather than her braided updo and supremely smokey eye.

Joan Smalls: The model posed in a plunging Alexander Wang tuxedo halter jumpsuit that balanced a carefree and come-hither attitude with its daring lines, yet sporty dropped waist and pockets. She topped it off with wavy ponytail and and a pair of metallic-laced cage sandals.

Taylor Schilling: Working a Zuhair Murad white frock, embellished with black stencil flowers, the ‘Orange is the New Black’ star stayed far away from her character’s colours. She did add a punch via a forest-green Vince Camuto clutch and a magenta lip, finishing the ensemble with Nancy Newberg jewels and Kurt Geiger ankle-strap sandals.

Alexander Wang vs. Urban Outfitters

Wang

Aila Wang, niece of Alexander Wang was the first to wear an Alexander Wang Spring 2014 ‘Parental Advisory’, followed by Rihanna, who wore a custom pink piece.

While us mere mortals will have to wait a few more months to get our hands on this top – or pre-order it now from ModaOperandi – Urban Outfitters are bridging the gap with their own ‘Parental Advisory’ sweater which is available to purchase now.

NYFW Spring 2014 Red Carpet Wish List Part II

NYFW1

Alexander Wang: Zoe Kravitz is a huge fan of Alexander Wang, so the question when looking at the collection was ‘What would Zoe wear?’ My choices were somewhat limited due to the amount of colour on display as Zoe loves to wear black, so I settled on this black strappy dress with a flared skirt. I hope she proves me wrong and selects something other than black from this collection.

Altuzarra: Allison Williams is always a goodie two-shoes on the red carpet. I would love to see her in this sexy, slightly undone look to spice up her red carpet game.

Front Row @ NYFW Weekend Catch Up

Front Row @ NYFW Weekend Catch Up

Here’s a quick catch up of the front row who caught my eye during New York Fashion Week this weekend.

Ciara @ Prabal Gurung: The singer wore a pretty Prabal Gurung embroidered angular insert dress with a flared silhouette styled with bondage boots courtesy of Casadei, which were presented during the designer’s Fall 2013 collection.

Solange Knowles @ Alexander Wang: What’s not to love about Solange’s outfit? The colour, the quirky glasses, the Wang Resort 2014 skirt, that bag and those sexy sandals…? Perhaps it shouldn’t, but it ALL works.

Rihanna @ Opening Ceremony: It’s been a while since we saw Rihanna front row at NYFW, as she tends to skip the shows and head to the after-parties. On Sunday she was front and centre at Opening Ceremony wearing a grey Zac Posen satin floral dress with Underground ‘Wulfrun’ creepers with a Lynn Ban choker. A part of me wants to say it’s ridiculous to pair such a pretty dress with creepers, but I have to say she sells it to me, as per.

Willow Smith In G Star & Jaden Smith In Alexander Wang and MSFTSrep – 2013 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Willow Smith In G Star Jaden Smith In Alexander Wang - 2013 MTV Video Music Awards #VMAs

Talented siblings Willow Smith and Jaden Smith attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday evening.

You never quite know what you are going to get from these two, but they worked a laidback look fitting for the occasion.

Willow Smith: Working one of the trends of the summer – denim overalls – her dark-denim G Star look was styled with a vintage ‘The Runaways’ tee and Givenchy ‘Shark Lock’ wedge booties.

Jaden Smith: His look included a simple Alexander Wang black tee, MSFTSrep’s signature drop-crotch jogging pants and Nike sneakers. Is it me, or does this look feel like he rolled out of his bed in his PJs to attend this event?

Olivia Palermo In Alexander Wang – ‘RED 2′ New York Screening

Olivia Palermo In Alexander Wang - 'RED 2' New York Screening

Olivia Palermo was also turning heads at the screening of Summit Entertainment’s ‘RED 2′ film, hosted last Tuesday at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

The socialite wrapped up in a casual, Alexander Wang cotton-poplin handkerchief dress, tied and knotted to create some element of shape at the front. Of course, that’s only where her look started.

In true Olivia style, she lavished on the accessories, taking her hankie into tribal territory with a multi-colour, beaded collar neckpiece dangling with silver embellishment.

Matching tassel-festooned sandals added another layer of ethnic flavour. And, if I squint, her black-and-white envelope clutch could pass for a zebra print.

This isn’t the first time Olivia has done the tribal-trendy look. Perhaps her closet has been inspired by her work as a Maasai Project Ambassador in Kenya.
