Models @ 2018 Met Gala

Naturally, the models were out in force for the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City. Here’s what these ‘heavenly bodies’ had on.

Ashley Graham: Channeling a bronzed goddess moment, the model donned an Atelier Prabal Gurung sequin-encrusted gown that introduced a dramatic, Met-ready sensibility with the long, satin-edged cape. The leg jut was put to work, with Taski jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completing the look.

Bella Hadid: I’m sure many will be raising their hands in praise that Bella opted for something a bit more covered than her naked bodysuit from last year’s Met Gala. This custom Chrome Hearts x Gareth Pugh design riffed on sinner and saint with the dark glamour of the latex corset and sculptural, villainous cape and fingerless gloves. This would have been all bad-girl were it not for the cross necklace and cross-embroidered veil that trailed behind her.

Beyonce Knowles In Alexander Wang – Golden State Warriors Game

While most of us would prefer a romantic dinner or exotic holiday to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z kept real proving that they are still crazy in love with basketball (and each other) by sitting courtside at the Golden State Warriors game at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California on Saturday (April 28).

Following two weekends at Coachella wearing high-octane look, the singer opted for a white-hot look that celebrated her gorgeous figure wearing a sexy Alexander Wang deconstructed tank dress from the Spring 2018 collection.

I love how the look is nonchalantly styled with Calvin Klein coat slung around her shoulders.

The singer accessorized with Saint Laurent shoes, a mini Stalvey bag (a favourite of Gigi Hadid and now Priyanka Chopra), and Ray-Ban sunglasses.

Daily Front Row’s 4th Annual Fashion Awards

The Daily Front Row’s 4th Annual Fashion Awards on Sunday (April 8) in Beverly Hills, California, was filled with stylish attendees. They joined Leona Lewis.

Emily Ratajkowski: The model typically gravitates towards sexy, revealing pieces so this pale yellow Jacquemus Fall 2018 gown was a change of pace. It still had alluring sensuality from the deep V-neckline, but there’s a vintage sentiment from the gathers and tie waist. The oversized green earrings enliven the earthy colour palette.

Charlie Plummer: The ‘All the Money in the World’ actor was suited and booted in Dior Homme. With the striking red colour and slim silhouette, it was clean, crisp and very modern. The black boots accented the details in the jacket.

Nicole Richie: Looking pretty in pink, the ‘Great News’ actress donned a Juicy Couture Fall 2018 ensemble. I was enamored with the way the patterned maxi had a bohemian feel but the gathered neckline and sleeves added romance. I’m sure many will be surprised this look is from the designer.

The CFDA, WWD & Variety Celebrate Runway To Red Carpet Initiative

To celebrate the inaugural launch of the Runway to Red Carpet initiative, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Variety and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) hosted a star-studded luncheon on Tuesday (February 20) at the Chateau Marmont, which was sponsored by Karma Automotive.

A range of starlets were in attendance. However, if you had just looked at their ensembles, you’d never know they were at the same event—so diverse were their modes of dress.

Olivia Munn: I like the sunny outlook of this Veronica Beard Spring 2018 warm-weather-ready suit set, with the drawstring detailing adding an element of feminine allure. Obviously, the shorts didn’t stand up so well to the creases from sitting.

Lea Michele: Opting for a more romantically feminine offering, Lea wore a Zuhair Murad floral gown with a ruffled peplum. I can imagine this dress looked very pretty in the garden outside.

January Jones: I appreciate the directional, urban-forward mood the actress was setting with this Off-White Resort 2018 look—complete with that slick-back ponytail. However, I know the deconstructed, pinstripe skirt will have many saying it looks as if she wrapped a bolt of men’s shirting material around her waist.

Charlize Theron In Saint Laurent & Alexander Wang – NASCAR Cup Series 60th Annual Daytona 500

Charlize Theron was on hand at the NASCAR Cup Series 60th Annual Daytona 500 on Sunday (February 18) in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Rather than going for an obvious racing theme, she took a more punk rock approach with a Saint Laurent ‘Patti Smith’ t-shirt and Alexander Wang Spring 2018 leather trousers.

It was sophisticated yet cool and had just the right tone for the event.

The Gianvito Rossi ‘Portofino’ sandals combined with the tucked-in tee make her legs look miles long.

Greta Gerwig In Alexander Wang – 2018 DGA Awards

‘Lady Bird’ director Greta Gerwig joined Saiorse Ronan at the 2018 Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday (February 3) in Beverly Hills, California.

Designer Alexander Wang presented a unique hybrid breed of eveningwear with this minimalist gown from the Resort 2018 collection.

You can see the translation of the distinct #WangGang-cool, streetwear-savvy aesthetic in the molded black leather bustier of the dress.

The skirt was the white T-shirt of the look—the more casual counterpart to counterbalance the mod bodice.

It may have been an experimental combination, but I love how sleekly Greta wore it with her pristine updo and bold lip.
