Natalie Dormer In Alberta Ferretti – 2018 BAFTAs

Following the pre-party, Natalie Dormer graced the 2018 BAFTAs in London this evening (February 18).

You’ll be surprised to learn that supplying so many black dresses for events like this and the Golden Globes is no mean feat, so Natalie turned to Alberta Ferretti to create a gown especially for the occasion.

The design is fairly simple, so I love how the look is elevated with a sheer chiffon train for a dramatic and timelessly glamorous finish.

I’m going back and forth on the tasseled earrings.

Should she have lost the earrings or worn her hair up?

Gemma Arterton In Alberta Ferretti Couture – 2018 BAFTAs

Gemma Arterton was another beauty in black at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, alongside Saoirse Ronan, Rebecca Ferguson and Leslie Bibb.

The actress wore a dark Alberta Ferretti Spring 2018 Couture gown in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement.

She frequently wears black dresses on the red carpet and this subdued style demonstrates why.

There’s something captivating about the inky shade against her dark hair and pale complexion.

With the dynamic pleating, there is such wonderful movement in the gown, which shows off her figure in an alluringly elegant manner.

Gina shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag and Ara Vartanian jewels completed the graceful look.

Given the higher neckline and detailing, she could have lost one accessory or two.

Zoe Saldana In Alberta Ferretti Couture – ‘Campari Red Diaries’ Milan Premiere

On Monday (January 30) Campari, the iconic Italian aperitif, launched the 2018 Campari Red Diaries short movie – The Legend of Red Hand – with a red carpet premiere in Milan, Italy.

The short movie, starring actress Zoe Saldana, Italian actor Adriano Giannini and directed by Italian director Stefano Sollima, is a thrilling mystery story that takes viewers around the world in the pursuit of the perfect Campari cocktail.

Zoe was at her stupendous best wearing a Campari red Alberta Ferretti Spring 2017 Couture gown.

This sensual slip dress, cut on the bias for slinky movement, and enhanced with a cowl neckline, is understated glamour at its very best.

If you were to call this a BDOTY moment, I wouldn’t disagree.

Buccellati gold jewels and Stuart Weitzman sandals completed her look.

Susan Sarandon In Alberta Ferretti & Geena Davis In Anel Verna – 2018 SAG Awards

We were treated to a ‘Thelma & Louise’ reunion at the 2018 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 21) in LA when Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis posed on the red carpet together.

Susan looked cool in an inky off-the-shoulder Alberta Ferretti gown. Rather than statement jewels, she accessorized with cat eye sunglasses with colourful arms.

The sunglasses might be the biggest talking point even though the legendary actress has worn dark eyewear on a number of red carpets.

Her cinematic partner in crime was outfitted in a similar deep hue, donning a luxurious brocade Anel Verna dress.

Separately, they would have made memorable impressions, but together, they will likely be the most unforgettable duo of the evening.

Mary J Blige In Alberta Ferretti – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Mary J. Blige wowed at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7), joining Angelina Jolie and Diane Kruger.

The ‘Mudbound’ actress was outfitted in a custom Alberta Ferretti gown which was in keeping with the night’s black dress code.

The designer wouldn’t have been the first one I would have expected her to wear, but this collaboration was successful as this look is very much in her wheelhouse.

The mix of fabrics has a decadence and doesn’t feel disjointed. Plus, the shine of the long sleeve was enhanced with Chopard jewels.

If I’m being fussy, I would have preferred a cuff that better coordinated with the shimmering material as the white jars with the rest of the look.

The Art of Elysium presents John Legend’s HEAVEN Gala

As to be expected, there was a rush of stars at the 11th annual edition of The Art of Elysium Presents John Legend’s HEAVEN was held on Saturday (January 6) in Santa Monica, California.

Ashley Madekwe: I was a bit surprised to see Ashley donning the Rodarte Fall 2017 look that Nicole Kidman wore to the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. I will say the proportions of the glittery, ruffled look seemed a bit better suited to Ashley.

Rooney Mara: The actress looks to be continuing 2018 with her favoured colour palette of black and white with this Givenchy Spring 2018 lace-accented, asymmetrical dress.

Vanessa Hudgens: I like the enchanting sweep of this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2017 cape gown styled with an Emm Kuo clutch. What betrays the look a bit is the heavy-handed, rust-hued eye makeup, which is a bit too much in the red colour family.

2017 Hollywood Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The 2017 Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday (November 5) in Beverly Hills, California were a fashionable affair with a number of lovely ladies joining Angelina JolieCarey MulliganShailene Woodley and Mary J. Blige.

Kate Mara: The recently married actress presented a fashion-forward look in this Burberry patterned suit. The metallic mix is something that looks as good far away as it does close up thanks to the contrasting pattern on the collar and the sleek shape. The red clutch adds a new energy to the ensemble without overshadowing the modern tailoring.

Amy Adams: Opting for crisp tailoring and shimmering femininity, the actress wore an all-black Tom Ford number. The shape of the sequined dress was almost to the point of hobble skirt proportions, but it gave the look a liquidity that was juxtaposed with the sharpness of the jacket.

Zoe Kazan: Bringing a botanical touch, ‘The Big Sick’ actress donned a white Gucci dress decorated with flora and fauna. Some might find it too spring-like for this time of year, but I found it to be a joyful injection to the carpet.
