Jess Weixler In Alberta Ferretti – American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jess Weixler In Alberta Ferretti - American Cinematheque 28th Annual Award Presentation To Matthew McConaughey

Jess Weixler attended the 28th American Cinematheque Award event honouring Matthew McConaughey held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (October 21) in Beverly Hills, California alongside her ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’ co-star Jessica Chastain.

As we all know, brown is not a great colour to select for any red carpet look, but that isn’t my greatest issue with this Alberta Ferretti Resort 2015 strapless gown.

The issue is both the style and the fit of the bodice. The style is not particularly flattering and the fit is off, probably on account of the design.

There is no denying how beautiful Jess is here, but she can do so much better.

Who Wore Alberta Ferretti Better…Alessandra Ambrosio or Alejandra Onieva?

Who Wore Alberta Ferretti Better Alessandra Ambrosio or Alejandra Onieva

Alessandra Ambrosio selected a beautiful cherry-hued Alberta Ferretti high-low gown to wear to the ‘La Rançon De La Gloire’ Venice Film Festival premiere styled with a stunning Chopard necklace.

Alejandra Onieva wore the same gown while attending the Moët ‘Rose Moon Night Party’ held at the Casino de Madrid last month, keeping her neckline clear, slicking her hair back and applying a bold glossy red lip.

This is a hard one, because while I love Alessandra’s necklace, I dislike the shoes; and where I like Alejandra’s shoes, I dislike her hair.

In the end I couldn’t live with Alejandra’s hair but could just about live with Alessandra’s shoes, so she wins for me.

‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ LA Premiere

'Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day' LA Premiere

The premiere of Disney’s ‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ took place at the El Capitan Theatre on Monday (October 6) in Hollywood, California.

Jennifer Garner: The actress opted for a simple all-black look featuring a Valentino Pre-Fall 2014 mini dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. I was only briefly entertained by this look when viewing her sparkling Oscar de la Renta clutch.

Bella Thorne: Thankfully the Disney star was not in the mood to fade into the background, wearing a gorgeous tiered chiffon Alberta Ferretti gown in a bold orange hue to make a strong and glamorous statement on this red carpet. Keeping the accessories to a minimum, she styled her gown with gold Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a collection of bracelets.

Zendaya Coleman: Reunited with her BFF Bella, Zendaya, who’s usually centre of attention, took a back seat yet still managed to look stunning. Perhaps pushing the envelope a bit too hard on the last few outings, I’m glad she’s taken her foot off the gas on this occasion for a more subdued offering from Falguni and Shane Peacock’s Spring 2015 collection. Still brimming with plenty of cool appeal with plenty of personality, I love the sexy sheer bomber jacket paired with the conservative pencil skirt for an interesting contrast.

Vicki Zhao 赵薇 In Alberta Ferretti & Alexander McQueen – ‘Dearest’ Press Conference & Premiere

Vicki Zhao In Alberta Ferretti & Alexander McQueen - 'Dearest' Press Conference & Premiere

Vicki Zhao attended the press conference and premiere of her latest project, ‘Dearest’, in China on Tuesday (September 23).

Press Conference: The actress wore a beautiful Alberta Ferretti Resort 2015 lavender frock enriched with a colourful sequin pattern, which she styled with Tasaki jewelry and a pair of gorgeous ruby Louboutin pumps. I’m glad she didn’t let us down in the footwear department; this vibrant look deserved a vivid shoe.

Premiere: Perhaps using up her colour quota at the press conference, her premiere look was void of colour. Keeping it simple and chic, the actress wore a black Alexander McQueen mini dress styled with gold Louboutin pumps and a selection of Pomellato jewels. The accessories, including the metal belt, prevent this from being a snooze.

Alejandra Onieva In Alberta Ferretti – Moet ‘Rose Moon Night’ Party

Alejandra Onieva In Alberta Ferretti - Moet 'Rose Moon Night' Party

Alejandra Onieva attended the Moet ‘Rose Moon Night Party’ held at the Casino de Madrid on Wednesday (September 17) in Madrid, Spain.

The actress wore a show-stopping Alberta Ferretti strapless gown in a rich red hue with a folded neckline and rise-and-fall hemline styled with Dsquared2 sandals and Ararat jewels.

Sadly, the wet-look hair and shiny makeup are throwing me off this look.

You may remember that Alessandra Ambrosio wore this same dress during Venice Film Festival.

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Madrid 2014

Vogue Fashion's Night Out Madrid 2014

Vogue Fashion’s Night Out Madrid 2014 took place in Spain on Thursday (September 18). Here’s a look at three lovely ladies who caught my eye.

Norma Ruiz: Now that we are moving into fall, there couldn’t be a more perfect time for those moody prints from Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2014 collection to hit the red carpet. Norma paired her tree bark maxi skirt with a solid black top instead of the bustier we saw on the runway with positive results. I’m also loving the addition of the Roberto Cavalli clutch, which pulls the whole look together rather nicely, with an Ararat cuff adding a new dimension to the look.

Megan Montaner: The actress was perhaps my favourite of the bunch, working chic separates courtesy of Blumarine’s Spring 2014 collection. It would’ve been easy to break up the runway look and play it safe with a black blazer; however, the red and white lapel look was harder to pull off, and I’m glad to see Megan doing so with ease. A maroon byDeeksha clutch and nude Louboutins completed her look.

Nerea Garmendia: Serving up some sultry flair, the actress wore a black Inas Couture jumpsuit, with an alluring lace bodice countered with flattering straight-leg trousers. The satin panels especially on the bodice are throwing me off loving this look; however, the pink Casadei pumps are taking the majority of my attention. A gold byDeeksha clutch and Aristocrazy jewels accessorized her look.

Mia Moretti In Alberta Ferretti – ‘Hungry Hearts’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Mia Moretti In Alberta Ferretti - 'Hungry Hearts' Venice Film Festival Premiere

Mia Moretti attended the ‘Hungry Hearts’ premiere during the 2014 Venice Film Festival on Sunday (August 31) in Venice, Italy.

Known for her style as well as her skills on the turntables, the DJ wore a stunning Alberta Ferretti chiffon and lace gown with a flowing cape made that much more dramatic with feathered detailing cascading down both sides, which almost distracts you from the fact that the dress is so sheer you can see her underwear.

Styled with a gold box clutch, onyx earrings and a ravishing red pout, she completed her look with an updo.

Sarah Felberbaum attended the ‘Hungry Hearts’ premiere during the 2014 Venice Film Festival on Sunday (August 31) in Venice, Italy.

Like so many others at this festival, the British actress wore Alberta Ferretti, selecting a purple-hued striped tie-dye strapless gown from the Resort 2015 collection, which she elegantly styled with a dual-colour purple and fuchsia Ferragamo clutch.

Opting for no jewels and a simple topknot, was this lacking in glamour for a Venice Film Festival?

Constance Jablonski In Alberta Ferretti – ‘The Humbling’ Venice Film Premiere After Party

Constance Jablonski In Alberta Ferretti - 'The Humbling' Venice Film Premiere After Party

After the premiere of ‘The Humbling,’ Constance Jablonski also attended the after party, hosted during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Italy on Saturday (August 30).

Again selecting an Alberta Ferretti gown after her initial red-carpet appearance for the festival’s opening ceremony, the model wore a Spring 2014 white gown.

The dress continued in the same enchanted, delicate spirit as the previous creation, with the bodice’s multi-coloured floral embroidery a vibrant counterpoint to the sheer lace detailing and the diaphanous layered skirt that trailed behind her.

With a red clutch, her hair in girly, loose waves and a magenta lip rounding out the styling, she could have very much passed for the bohemian bride.
