Princess Charlene of Monaco In Akris – Rose Ball 2014

Princess Charlene of Monaco In Akris - Rose Ball 2014

Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Rose Ball held at the Sporting Monte-Carlo on Saturday (March 29) in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The princess wore a look from her favourite designer, Akris, selecting a one-shoulder navy Fall 2014 gown with swirling black accents snaking around her body creating an ‘S’ shape; she styled the gown with dazzling Van Cleef and Arpels ‘Ocean’ drop earrings (a wedding gift from her husband) and black pumps.

Once again, the sheer skirt prevents me from considering this for BDOTW.

Janelle Monae In Akris – 2013 Billboard Annual Women in Music Event

Janelle Monae In Akris - 2013 Billboard Annual Women in Music Event

Janelle Monae joined Pink for Billboard’s annual Women in Music event held at Capitale in New York City on Tuesday (December 10), where she received the ‘Rising Star Award’.

Sticking to her favoured black and white, the talented singer – who always works an androgynous, chic look with her signature quiff/mohawk hairstyle and red lipstick – looked stunning wearing black leggings with a black crystal studded jacket from Akris’ Fall 2013 collection.

The chic moto jacket with a high-neck collar is a spectacular piece. She styled the look with Christian Louboutin lace-up open-toe booties and a selection of silver jewels including an on-trend ear cuff.

Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill’s Pre-Wedding Dinner

Pre Wedding 1

A host of royals attended the dinner to celebrate the nuptials of Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill, hosted by Madeleine’s parents King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia which was held at The Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden yesterday evening.

Princess Charlene of Monaco: The princess turned to one of her favourite designers, Akris, who created this shimmering gold mermaid gown with a matching vest.

Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece: The beautiful princess wore an embellished Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 strapless gown with a rise-and-fall hemline.

Pre Wedding 2

Queen Silvia of Sweden: The mother of the bride was the epitome of elegance in a floor-sweeping red gown that showed off her slim physique to perfection.

Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg: Having worn Elie Saab to her own wedding last year and to Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands’ Abdication State Dinner last month, the Princess selected the designer yet again for this royal occasion. She wore a sequin-free green asymmetrical gown styled with an embellished clutch.

Princess Charlene Of Monaco In Akris – 2012 Oscars

Princess Charlene of Monaco and Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2012 Oscars, held in LA yesterday evening.

The Princess wore an Akris couture gown created by designer Albert Kriemler.

Her white lace stripe mock neck sleeveless gown with a keyhole back was teamed with a matching mini Akris ‘Allegra’ bag.

Her appearance at the 2012 Oscars marks the first time a member of Monaco’s royal family has attended the event since Grace Kelly won her Oscar in 1955 for best actress.

Princess Charlene Monaco In Akris – 63rd Red Cross Ball Gala

Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II of Monaco hosted the 63rd Red Cross Ball Gala at their Monte Carlo home on Friday night.

The Princess provides me with some much needed glamour after a very lackluster Teen Choice Awards, wearing an Akris strapless gown.

Her fuchsia silk strapless gown with fishtail hem and fitted bodice of silk chiffon pleated appliqué was teamed with a matching Akris Anouk clutch.

A Van Cleef & Arpels necklace (a gift from her husband) and a chic chignon completed her look.

The dress is gorgeous, the colour is divine on her, but whoever is did her ghostly make-up needs to be sacked immediately.

Cameron Diaz In Akris – “Bad Teacher” European Promo Tour

Cameron Diaz continued to promote her new, “Bad Teacher” in Europe this weekend.

In London Cameron opted to dress casually for the photocall wearing white J Brand ‘Major’ skinny jeans with a black top, an Ann Taylor gold bracelet and black Casadei pumps.

During the rest of the promo tour she wore Akris exclusively.

For the Berlin photocall Cameron wore an Akris Spring 2011 pale sage silk shirt dress, which she teamed with Sergio Rossi tan sandals and a 3.1 Phillip Lim belt.

At the “Bad Teacher” Germany Premiere, Cameron wore an Akris Pre-Fall 2011 black double-face tuxedo halter jumpsuit with silk-satin lapels.  Her jumper was paired with black satin Casedai pumps.

Her 3rd Akris look of the weekend was worn on the German television program, “Wetten Dass.”

She wore an Akris cotton denim bateau-neck short romper from the Spring 2011 collection with nude pumps.

These looks aren’t anything to get excited about. It’s clear that the objective was for a low key approach to this promo tour.

My favourite is the pale sage skirt dress.

I would’ve liked the tuxedo jumpsuit had Cameron opted for a belt as it appeared on the model to give her look a more definition around the waist.

At the end of the year this will receive the “Most Underwhelming Promo Run of the Year Award.”

Nice, but nothing to write home about.

Rose Byrne’s sold “Bridesmaids” to me; Cameron fails to do the same with “Bad Teacher.”

Charlene Wittstock In Akris – Grand Prix de Monaco

There are very few things that are certain in life. Victoria Beckham is unlikely to smile, Renée Zellweger will always wear Carolina Herrera and the other was Charlene Wittstock would wear Armani, but that appears to have changed.

Charlene Wittstock, fiancée of Albert Prince of Monaco, wore Akris custom ensemble for events surrounding Monaco’s Grand Prix this weekend.

The Princess-in-waiting first Akris look included a black stone appliqué corseted bustier with black silk chiffon pants and the Akris ‘Alice bag’ which she wore to the Amber lounge.

For the Grand Prix qualifying race the following day, she wore a sand Akris bustier with a matching skirt and tan sandals. This was a very refreshing relaxed look for Charlene.

That evening at the JetSet Party on-board a yacht, Charlene opted for an Akris one-shouldered silk jersey dress sans shoes. She accessorized with a pearl necklace and a matching clutch.

A printed voile day dress and Jimmy Choo sandals was the perfect day look for Charlene as she attended Grand Prix on Sunday.

The finale Akris look was a stunning olive paillette gown which she paired with an Akris ‘Ai’ bag.

Charlene sure does know what looks to wear for each occasion.

Each look was presented with the type of effortless elegance we expect from a Princess.
