Models @ The 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

It was all cheekbones and centre-partings as models descended on the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

Bella Hadid: The model is a fan of flashing flesh but kept it sophisticated in this blazer-style dress from Off-White Fall 2017. Top marks for the flared sleeves and retro full fringe. We’ll ignore the pale pink lunch bag style clutch.

Maye Musk: I do love the humour and personality in this Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017 dress. It’s unashamedly extroverted and doesn’t apologise for its bling accessories courtesy of Atelier Swarovski Fine Jewelry.

Karen Elson: Ah, red and green a hallowed combination that almost never goes wrong. Unfortunately, the tried and tested combo falls short here. The Anna Sui Fall 2017 dress is a confusing array of frills, draping, and puff sleeves. Combined with heavy shoes, this look is overwhelmingly bad.

Rihanna In Adam Selman – Chopard Space Party

The second party hosted by Rihanna and Chopard took place after her Cannes Film Festival red carpet debut on Friday (May 19).

Of her three looks during this festival I’ve only liked the Ralph & Russo Couture gown.

I don’t get the idea behind this Adam Selman custom gown.

The only thing I do understand is the neckline to showcase the Chopard necklace, but for the rest I am truly baffled; not only by the dress, but by her sharp decline in favourable red carpet looks.

Will the real Rihanna please stand up.

Katy Perry In Issey Miyake & Adam Selman – 102.7 KIIS FM’s 2017 Wango Tango

Katy Perry served up two looks for the 102.7 KIIS FM’s 2017 Wango Tango event on Saturday (May 13).

Red Carpet: The singer began the event in a neon-hued Issey Miyake mini dress paired with go-go boots and a punk meets Edie Sedgwick pixie cut that hopefully lasts. The dress, with its unconventional cut and broken up streaks of grey, works in its own Katy-esque way but better when interpreted as part of this theme.

Performance: Katy followed up with that theme in Adam Selman who may as well be Katy’s personal designer as their aesthetics are so perfectly aligned with a harness by Zane Bayne and latex holdups by Vex Latex rounding out the look. Yes, it’s slightly ridiculous and yes it gives vibes of a forgotten ‘Suicide Squad’ character – but this is quirky Katy on top form.

Katy Perry In Adam Selman – 2017 BRIT Awards After-Party

Following the main event, Katy Perry attended the Universal Music BRIT Awards After-Party on Wednesday (February 22) in London.

We’ve seen flashes of quirky Katy during awards season, but this Adam Selman Fall 2017 trench dress saw the singer take a different – muted-by-her-standards – route.

I love how the semi-sheerness and bold red embroidery adds an allurement to this look.

I’m always impressed at how Katy has a cunning knack of making a bold statement even when toning things down.

The accessorizes, including a Jennifer Fisher brass large root choker, XL ID cuff and cylinder ring, Stella Luna ‘Carioca’ red sandals and makeup are very much on point here.

Sarah Hyland In Adam Selman – Omnia Nightclub Opening

Sarah Hyland In Adam Selman - Omnia Nightclub Opening

Sarah Hyland attended the grand opening celebration at Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace, on Saturday (April 25) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The lady in red donned a two-piece Adam Selman Spring 2015 look featuring a sexy crop top with tomboy oversized trousers, which is quite a style switch from the Oscar de la Renta frock she wore earlier in the week.

This might not be to everyone’s liking, but I like how she edged away from the expected evening attire, for something fun and impactful. The only downside is perhaps the trousers were too long.

Tinashe In Adam Selman – 2015 MTV Movie Awards

Tinashe In Adam Selman - 2015 MTV Movie Awards2

Tinashe was also in the mix at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday (April 12) in Los Angeles, California.

Also nixing the mini, the singer wore an Adam Selman Spring 2015 flared, black maxi dress enhanced with rows of pearls for a playful edge.

She completed the effortless appeal of the design with a topknot and nude makeup.

You may remember that Jena Malone previously rocked this gown at the Art of Elysium gala earlier this year, and its first time out still holds the charm for me.
