Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Jessica Alba continued to promote her new movie “Valentine’s Day” by visiting the “Jay Leno Show” this week.

During her appearance Jessica had some putting lesson from golfer Anthony Kim, much to amusement of Jay Leno.

Side sweeping bangs seems to be a style Jessica is currently favouring.  Mostly it’s a hit, but on this occasion its a mumsy miss.

The actress looked to be having a great time, but I was more interested in her 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2010 sparkly silver blazer/dress.

This could have been a really hot look for Jess had she worn the dress as presented on the runway, but I guess as she was messing around with golf clubs she didn’t want to be too exposed in a short dress.

Black wedged heels completed her look.

Beyonce Knowles is currently in Paris with hubby Jay-Z.

They were spotted leaving L’Avenue Restaurant last night after enjoying a romantic meal.

It appears that Beyonce is still trying to prove that she’s ‘edgy’ by wearing a pair of 3.1 Phillip Lim studded gloves with her rather bizarre ensemble which included a tweed cropped jacket with leather lapels and studded detailed leggings, treggings, jeggings or whatever they are called these days.

The more sane pieces of her look included black Louboutin’s and a Balenciaga Arena classic bag.

This is not the first time we’ve seen a celebrity wear these gloves. Kim Kardashian has worn them too.

I feel a ‘Who Looked More Ridiculous?” poll coming on.

We’re yet to see the 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Spring 2010 collection on the red carpet, but thanks to Han Chae Young we finally do.

The leggy actress/model attended the “Asia Model Festival Awards 2010″ last week were she collected the ‘Model Star Award’.

She looked amazing wearing 3.1 Phillip Lim sculptural organza pleated dress with black and white sandals.

I love the dress. It kinda reminds me of Rodarte with the lace underlay and the pleated, tiered skirt.

What I also love about this look is her wavy pulled back hairstyle. We wouldn’t what her hair spoiling the view of this stunning dress.

This dress is currently available to purchase from Luisa via Roma.

I love the lace detail on the back.

Katharine McPhee is in full on promo mode as she continues to promote her new album “Unbroken”.

This week she was at “The Pix Morning Show” in New York where she performed her new single “Keep Drivin’”.

Her look is constantly changing.

She went from a very sophisticated Marchesa look on Conan O’Brien’s late night show, to a more laid back look for this morning show.

Her ensemble included ankle boots, patterned tights, a blue mini skirt and a 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘OK’ hand printed tee.

The look has a weird mish-mash of colours that surprisingly doesn’t offend me.

I was hoping stars would jump off the ankle boot trend in 2010, but I guess it’s here to stay for a while.

The stylish statement making tee was one of the many hand printed tees in the 3.1 Phillip Lim Resort 2010 collection.

This tee is available to purchase from Browns Fashion and Matches Fashion.com.

When Jessica Biel wore this 3.1 Phillip Lim asymmetrical gown with a twisted detail going down one side to the New York screening of “Easy Virtue” back in May, it has to be the only time this year I have actually liked what she’s worn on the red carpet.

For once she looked polished and sophisticated, sporting washed hair and make-up.

Mandy Moore arrive at the “USA Today Hollywood Hero Awards” in LA recently wearing the same dress in black.

She paired her black version with black strappy sandals and a black box clutch.

I admired Jessica’s effort and I much prefer the ivory runway colour, so Jess wins for me.

I’m not so crazy about Kristin Cavallari’s hair and make-up, but I did like her ensemble.

‘The Hills’ star wore a black Dolce & Gabbana bustier paired with a Chanel belt and a 3.1 Phillip Lim zipper skirt from the Spring 2009 collection.

Stephanie Pratt sparkled wearing a blue sequined French Connection dress which makes her baby blues pop.

She paired her stunning dress with a navy blue clutch and YSL Trib Two’s.

This has to be one of Stephanie’s best red carpet looks. She really stepping things and becoming more polished.

After a few red carpet appearance sans tights Leona Lewis wears them on this occasion.

The star opted for a colourful sequined Catherine Malandrino skirt which she paired with a black top and Vivienne Westwood lilac Lady Dragon heart slingbacks.

I’m not at all fond of this look and its the top that’s at fault.

Everything else feels so well thought out, but the top feels like it was thrown on at the last minute.

After a summer flirtation with being blonde, Audrina Patridge returns to her luscious brunette locks.

The reality tv star wore a silver Rachel Roy dress and grey YSL Trib Two slingback heels.

I love the way the pockets drape which adds plenty of flair to this Rachel Rachel Roy number.

She look so beautiful.

Monique Coleman opted for a bold chartreuse colour which she loved showing off on this red carpet.

Whitney Port still hasn’t worn her Whitney Eve Spring 2010 collection.  Maybe she’s just waiting for Spring to arrive before she starts wearing it.

Instead she wore a delicate vintage dress paired with Guiseppe Zanotti gold heels to this event.

Like Stephanie, Karina Smirnoff also wore a French Connection dress, but hers was classic black with a asymmetrical front ruffle to add a bit of flair.

What I love most about this look is Karina’s Miu Miu heels which are to die for.
