Zosia Mamet In Houghton – ‘Southpaw’ New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet In Houghton - 'Southpaw' New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet joined Jake Gyllenhaal, 50 Cent, Rachel McAdams and Naomie Harris on the red carpet for the New York premiere of ‘Southpaw’ at AMC Loews Lincoln Square on Monday (July 20) in New York City.

The ‘Girls’ actress wore a Houghton Resort 2016 navy two-piece with Paul Andrew burgundy ‘Horatio’ platform sandals.

It’s almost impossible to objective about this look when I can’t get passed how terrible the hair is.

Like Lena Dunham, Zosia takes one step forward then two-steps back.

Zosia Mamet In Jill Stuart – ‘Trainwreck’ New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet In Jill Stuart - 'Trainwreck' New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet attended the ‘Trainwreck’ New York Premiere at Alice Tully Hall on Tuesday (July 14) in New York City.

You could’ve knocked me down with a feather. That’s because I have grown so used to instantly disliking a Zosia Mamet red carpet look on sight, that when she looks this good, it’s a total shock to the system.

The ‘Girls’ actress wore a navy Jill Stuart keyhole dress styled with a white clutch and mint-green pumps for the most modern take on simple red carpet dressing.

She did smile at the event, so the only thing left to work on are those black roots.

Prada The Iconoclasts, New York 2015

Prada The Iconoclasts, New York 2015

Prada hosted an evening to celebrate the latest chapter of ‘The Iconoclasts’ installation project with a private viewing of their collaboration with distinguished costume designer Arianne Phillips during New York Fashion Week on Thursday (February 12).

Hailee Steinfeld: Even with the vivid print of the trousers and the steely blue colour of her top, what captivates me here is her makeup, especially that plump red lip. The look itself is an eclectic mix of pieces from Prada’s Spring 2015 collection featuring a coat with contrast stitching, which was a signature of said collection.

Bonnie Wright: The British actress has long been a member of the Prada family. On this occasion she wore a Prada contrast-stitch dress that echoes her style sensibility: simple, classic, no fuss.

Gabrielle Union: The ‘Being Mary Jane’ actress was not about to let the sub-zero temperatures of the city come between her and her Prada crop-top look. The touch of sparkle accented on her pleated skirt gives this causal offering an after-dark flourish. Black Prada sandals and Vale jewels completed her easy breezy look.

Zosia Mamet In Andrew Gn – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Zosia Mamet In Andrew Gn - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Zosia Mamet joined her ‘Girls’ girls at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday (January 11).

With her series nominated, the actress put her best dress forward in an Andrew Gn Resort 2015 gown that featured a grey, petal-shaped peplum bodice and a cotton-candy-pink full skirt that may have been a few centimetres too long.

Not being accustomed to seeing Zosia in such a fairytale ball gown, this look struck me as a bit precious, especially with the dainty diamond jewels.

Of course, I might have warmed up to it more had she not been rocking the same grey-highlighted hair that we saw at the ‘Girls’ Season 4 premiere last week. Her ’do does three things: matches her dress, prematurely ages her, and leaves me completely puzzled.

Zosia Mamet In Alexander McQueen – ‘Girls’ Season Four Premiere

Zosia Mamet In Alexander McQueen - ‘Girls’ Season Four Premiere

Zosia Mamet attended the season four premiere of ‘Girls’ held at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday (January 5) in New York City.

As you know I have never been backward at coming forward about Zosia’s often perplexing style, but on this occasion I would say she hit a rare fashion home run.

The lady in flame-red wore an Alexander McQueen Resort 2015 dress featuring intricate laser-cut panels at the side that enhance the silhouette of this vibrant design in sumptuous leather.

Going matchy-matchy with her satin Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps and lip shade, I will choose to ignore the strange old-lady blue-rinse hair and give this look a thumbs up.

Let’s see if she can keep to this standard throughout the year. It’s a big ask.

Zosia Mamet In Milly & Tanya Taylor – Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Zosia Mamet In Milly & Tanya Taylor - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Zosia Mamet attended the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards at Carnegie Hall on Monday (November 10) in New York City.

Still sporting her blonde tresses and managing to crack a smile, the ‘Girls’ actress continues to baffle me with her red carpet choices.

The actress wore a black Milly top and Tanya Taylor Spring 2015 black and white printed pants, which she styled with a black and white striped Rebecca Minkoff clutch and Forevermark jewels.

I know many of you think she doesn’t care, but with this level of coordination it’s clear that she does.

My issues are with the extraordinarily long trousers, which could also be regarded as pyjama pants, and that the look feels far too casual for the occasion.

What is your beef with this look?

Zosia Mamet In Rebecca Minkoff – ‘Olive Kitteridge’ New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet In Rebecca Minkoff - 'Olive Kitteridge' New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet attended the ‘Olive Kitteridge’ New York premiere held at SVA Theater on Monday (October 27) in New York City.

When I saw her in this Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2014 skirt suit I was so very disappointed by her presentation.

The sharp-edged striped look featuring an asymmetrical skirt looks like it’s been dwelling on her closet floor for quite some time.

The jacket is way too big, the creases are jarring, the white top makes this look appear even more sloppy, and those boots aren’t doing her legs any favours.

Just when I thought she was turning a corner, she reverts right back.

On the plus side, she is smiling in this picture.
