2017 ESPYS Red Carpet Roundup

There were many other stars from sport and screen at the 2017 ESPYS on Wednesday (July 12) in LA.

Lindsey Vonn: Putting on the glitz with an embellished LBD, the Olympic skier donned a Monique Lhuillier fringed mini paired with Sophia Webster ‘Rosalind’ sandals. However, ice skates would seem almost just as suitable, as the frock would also make for quite the va-va-voom figure skating costume.

Russell Wilson: The football pro cut a dapper profile in a luxe Tom Ford ensemble, proving that the summer velvet trend is not exclusive to the female set.

Zosia Mamet: Despite her favoured towering platform shoes, Zosia duly impressed me in this Miu Miu red ruffle dress, which saw her take baby steps towards a more sophisticated style. The frosted lip also needed an upgrade, and the necklaces were unnecessary, but these were baby steps, after all.

Zosia Mamet In Marc Jacobs – ‘The Beguiled’ New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet made a bold appearance at the New York premiere of ‘The Beguiled’ on Thursday (June 22).

The actress went daringly short in a thigh-skimming dress from Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 collection- and the extreme choices didn’t end there.

Heavy purple platform shoes and blue eyeshadow didn’t quite give this look the party vibe Zosia was possibly going for.

It’s a shame because the dress itself had potential. If the ‘Girls’ actress just let the dress do all the talking, perhaps this would have turned out better.

However, I think most people will object to her hair being too close in colour to her dress more than anything else.

2017 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner

There was a sea of Chanel ensembles to be seen and admired from the guests at the Chanel Artists Dinner, hosted on Monday (April 24) during the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Katie Holmes: Despite this being a sheer Chanel look, it manifested a casual, feminine charm. But I think it was Katie’s new, wavy bob along with metallic accessories that worked wonders to keep the look on fresh ground.

Dianna Agron: Classic Chanel tweed was turned on its head in this Spring 2017 ensemble that came alive with a holographic array of hues. The cropped top attempted to counterbalance the looser proportions of the jacket and skirt. I just wish her shoes had been as bold as her fuchsia eyeliner.

Dree Hemingway: Reflecting Dree’s free-spirited style, this Chanel look likewise paid homage to the spirited Gabrielle Coco Chanel herself. Sure, it was a quirky combination with the embellished sweater, girly pink skirt and granny-chic shoes. But, Dree has the presence to pull it off; I just wish she had done something more with her hair and makeup.

Zosia Mamet In Monse – Whitney Museum Biennial Event In NYC

Zosia Mamet joined Julianne Moore at the Whitney Museum Biennial, presented by Tiffany & Co., in New York City on Wednesday (March 15).

Also in a version of a black dress, the ‘Girls’ actress wore a Monse Resort 2017 dress that riffed on an interpretation of the classic trench coat.

Here, said trench was presented in slightly sultrier form in the off-the-shoulder silhouette and center slit, all cinched up with a wide belt.

The necklace I found redundant, as the look carried well on its own without the additional accessory.

Zosia Mamet In Marc Jacobs – ‘Girls’ Season 6 New York Premiere

Zosia Mamet joined co-stars Lena Dunham and Jemima Kirke for the New York premiere of the sixth and final season of ‘Girls’ on Thursday (February 2).

Wearing a Marc Jacobs embroidered jacquard mini dress over a grey ruffle blouse, my first thought was, “I wish she had had more fun with this look”.

Not with the runway boots, but I’m kind left feeling like even wearing hair up in a bun or not so bland shoes wouldn’t increased my warmness to this look ten-fold.
