Zooey Deschanel In Lisa Ho – ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ 200th Episode Celebration

Zooey Deschanel helped Fox celebrate the 200th episode of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ held at CBS Television City in California on Monday.

Dressed in a Lisa Ho plum cocktail mini dress with ruffled sleeves, the actress made sure she also wore her favourite accessory: black tights.

Due to the fall-like hue, the tights aren’t as frustrating as they have been on several occasion, but a summery look would’ve been preferred.

I also believe that Zooey should’ve worn her hair up as her retro wavy do is competing with those ruffles.

The only thing I love about this look is her nail art.

Zooey Deschanel In Oscar de la Renta – 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards

Zooey Deschanel won the Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in ‘New Girl’ at the 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards, held in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

After her 2012 Billboard Music Awards look, my first reaction to this was, “Thank god she’s not wearing tights”.

The actress is the first to nab a look from the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 collection.

She opted to style her floral appliqué red scoopneck sleeveless dress with a tonal grosgrain belt, which I prefer over the metal accent on the runway model.

Zooey accessorized with a red clutch, Graziela earrings and black Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps.

Side-swept waves and a red lip colour completed her much-improved look.

Zooey Deschanel In Moschino – 2012 Billboard Music Awards

Zooey Deschanel joined many stars on the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday night.

She opted to wear a Moschino Fall 2012 dress.

As always there’s a 60s theme to Zooey’s look, starting with the silver embellished sleeveless cocktail dress with contrast cream trim and ending with the retro updo.

Sadly I can’t get behind this look because of the tights.

I know they are her thing and I have given her several passes, but on this occasion they are hideous with this chic mini dress.

Horn-shaped dangling earrings and Miu Miu black pumps accessorized her look.

Zooey joins Fan Bingbing by sporting an orange lip colour.

Zooey Deschanel In Carven – Fox 2012 Programming Presentation Post-Show Party

Zooey Deschanel attended the Fox 2012 Programming Presentation Post-Show Party held in New York City yesterday evening.

The ‘New Girl’ actress chose a rather peculiar look, wearing a Carven Spring 2012 ensemble.

Dressed in a white button-down shirt with a large chest cut-out tucked into a plain black skirt, I cannot help but imagine Zooey as a waitress with a very bizarre dress code.

We all know that tights are Zooey’s signature look, but it is May – time to let your legs breathe.

Quirky can be done well on the red carpet – Zooey herself has done it before – but this is an example of eccentric gone horribly wrong especially since she wore the wrong style of bra with this dress.

Black pumps and a thin black belt accessorize the look.

Zooey Deschanel In Oscar de la Renta – 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Zooey Deschanel attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, held at the Washington Hilton on Saturday evening.

The star of ‘New Girl’ chose an Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2012 gown, not shown in the runway presentation.

Her strapless light grey gown, embellished with metallic silver polka-dot embroidery, is beautiful in true Oscar de la Renta form, but the dress would’ve looked better had it been hemmed, no?

A side ponytail, red lips and kohl-rimmed eyes, which are a tad too heavy for her delicate look, provided the finishing touches.

‘My Valentine’ Premiere – Part 2

On Friday evening at the Stella McCartney boutique in LA, Paul McCartney hosted the premiere of ‘My Valentine’, which he directed, with his daughter Stella, who outfitted the guests on the night.

Here are the rest of the looks which didn’t make the best dressed list.

Kristen Stewart: On Friday evening I usually check out from the internet, but a comment that I saw on my Blackberry told me that Kristen Stewart would be on the Best Dressed list next week. So I broke my ‘no internet on Friday night’ rule to check out this amazing look. I was gob-smacked by the bedraggled mess that I was faced with. Firstly she clearly doesn’t want to be there (which is an instant turn off); secondly, her roots need a touch up; and thirdly, the look was much better on the runway with the blue blazer. Why her stylist opted for a black blazer will forever remain a mystery. I’m not a fan of those Stella McCartney loafers and the attempt to add some life to this part schoolgirl, part schoolboy look via the red lip colour fails miserably. I’m shocked at how this could be considered BDOTW worthy, especially following Coco Rocha.

Rumer Willis: One person had to pick a diamond-print dress with thick embroidery from Stella McCartney Spring 2012 and that person was Rumer. She dared to go where nearly everyone else had failed by trying to make these dresses work on the red carpet. Not only did she fail, she also added insult to injury by wearing the floor-length dress with a black shawl. For the intriguing yellow footwear she gets a 2 out of 10.
