Chanel The Little Black Jacket Exhibition: Beijing

Chanel The Little Black Jacket Beijing

The Little Black Jacket exhibition hosted by Chanel was presented in Beijing, China yesterday evening with a mix of local celebs and Chanel ambassadresses.

Zhou Xun: No stranger to wearing Chanel, the Asian beauty looked like a delicate porcelain doll, wearing a black-and-white Chanel Spring 2013 Couture sequin dress featuring floral embroidery. Everything about her look is so sculptured, right down to her bowl haircut. The only thing I would change about the look is the platform stripper-like heels.

Zhang Ziyi: The actress was the picture of elegance once again, wearing a chic yet laidback look from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection. I didn’t see much red carpet potential from this collection considering how heavily layered each piece was presented. However, I love that Ziyi stripped back the layers to give us this beautiful look, which she styled with a Chanel Fall 2012 silver belt and Chanel Fine jewelry. Step back people, she’s on a roll.

Alicia Vikander: The Swedish actress wore a summery look from the Chanel Resort 2013 collection. Her flirty blue lace top and skirt was styled with an ocean-blue-and-white clutch and striped blue-and-white Chanel Resort 2013 shoes to add a nautical vibe to her sophisticated look.

Zhang Ziyi In Jill Stuart & Andrew Gn – Shanghai Film Festival

Zhang Ziyi In Jill Stuart & Andrew Gn - Shanghai Film Festival

After recently showing us her inner matador-ess and pattern print-cess, Zhang Ziyi once again proved she was a red-carpet chameleon on Monday, debuting two completely different looks during the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival in China.

‘My Lucky Star’ Press Conference: To promote her movie at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the actress presented an adorable blue-and-white gingham dress by Jill Stuart that had a slightly nautical appeal.  A dual-tone belt offset the exaggerated hip silhouette of the sweet frock. She accessorized with nude Casadei stilettos, a wristful of bangles and a white Omega watch, along with effortless, loose waves.

BONA Lucky Night: For the event at Peace Hotel, Zhang wore a glossy copper-and-black Andrew Gn dress that featured a bold tribal-inspired pattern. She styled the dress with Jimmy Choo peep-toe pumps and H. Stern jewels. An updo would have changed up the look even more from her earlier entrance.

Zhang Ziyi In Peter Pilotto – ‘The Road to the Grandmasters’ Chinese Film Festival Opening Film

Zhang Ziyi In Peter Pilotto - 'The Road to the Grandmasters' Chinese Film Festival Opening Film

Zhang Ziyi made a splash today at a press conference for the 2013 Chinese Film Festival’s opening film, ‘The Road to the Grandmasters,’ at Yeouldo CGV in Seoul, South Korea.

The actress, who has previously shown she’s not afraid to push the boundaries with a range of styles, indulged in a mixed bag of prints with her exaggerated shoulder-cape dress from Peter Pilotto’s Fall 2013 collection.

The designer’s maximal-print aesthetic was out in force here with a colourful kaleidoscope of swirling patterns, which were nipped in with a solid black-and-white waistband.

If there was ever an occasion for a simple black shoe, this may have been the time to ground the frenzied boldness of this look. But, for the red carpet, Zhang’s glittery metallic Jimmy Choo platform pumps were still preferred to the even clunkier patent brogues from the runway.

While accessories weren’t all that necessary, she did select an unobtrusive, wiry pair of H. Stern earrings, along with a Gilan cocktail ring and a gold Omega watch, which also directed attention to her purple manicure.

So as not to compete any further from her intrepid sartorial statement, she pulled her hair into a sleek and discreet updo.

Zhang Ziyi In Moschino – Moschino Shanghai Fashion Show

Zhang Ziyi In Moschino - Moschino Shanghai Fashion Show

Zhang Ziyi attended the Moschino Fashion Show in Shanghai, China on Thursday evening.

The actress, who gave us a fright when she wore a cropped wig during Cannes Film Festival, opted for a curly mane on this occasion while wearing a look from the Moschino Spring 2012 collection.

I don’t know about you, but I had a strong urge to say ‘Ole’ as I’m getting a strong matador vibe from her outfit, which consists of an embellished and heart-printed cropped jacket, white blouse, satin cummerbund and black tapered pants.

Her accessories included Louboutin peep-toes and a Moschino red-and-gold heart-etched clutch.

Zhang Ziyi In Elie Saab – ‘Zulu’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere and Closing Ceremony

Zhang Ziyi In Elie Saab - ‘Zulu’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere and Closing Ceremony

Inside the Palais des Festivals for the Closing Ceremony of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival, Zhang Ziyi changed to present an award.

She did a might quick change from her Dior Couture gown, to this Elie Saab Fall 2013 gown. She even changed her hairstyle, this time opting for a simple updo.

Her black gown with a lace bodice and sleeves was styled with two Chanel Joailliere earrings on this occasion.

Which gown do you prefer?

The Dior wins for me. As Paz Vega wore the shorter version of this Elie Saab dress already at this festival, this look gives me a case of déjà vu.
