Zhang Ziyi 章子怡 In Valentino – 14th Chinese Media Awards

Zhang Ziyi In Valentino - 14th Chinese Media Awards

Zhang Ziyi attended the 14th Chinese Media Awards on Saturday (October 11) in Beijing, China.

Looking as stunning as ever, the actress blew me away wearing a Valentino Fall 2014 gown which has been lined from the runway.

Grey is not normally a colour I favour; however, I am totally swept away by the romance of this embellished gown enriched with shimmering floral-embroidered details.

Does the lining ruin this look for you? Is Zhang tall enough to pull off this look?

Zhang Ziyi In Jenny Packham - Jinji Hundred Flowers Film Festival

Zhang Ziyi attended the Jinji Hundred Flowers Film Festival in China on Saturday (September 27), where she picked up the Best Actress Award.

Perhaps knowing she was a dead-cert for the award, she selected a navy Jenny Packham Fall 2014 dress trimmed with sparkling gold detailing to complement her golden award.

The elegant streamline look – which showcases a bit more skin than we are used to seeing from Ziyi via the cut outs – is unstated glamour at its finest.

Zhang Ziyi In Lanvin – Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala

Zhang Ziyi In Lanvin - Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala

Zhang Ziyi joined Fan Bingbing on the red carpet this evening (September 19) for the Harper’s Bazaar China Charity Gala in China where she was the host.

While I was expecting an princess gown from Zhang Ziyi, she went left, and served up this laidback elegant Lanvin Resort 2015 look.

No bells, no whistles; just a achingly understated black and white silk blouse with a black maxi skirt oozing boho chic.

I love that she didn’t overdress, styling the look with some complementary accessories including a gold flower belt, silver jewels and Roger Vivier clutch.

Wavy tresses and a red lip rounded out her pitch perfect look.

J’adore. Some times less is more. Do you agree?

Christian Dior Fall 2014 Couture Front Row

Christian Dior Falll 2014 Couture Front Row

Christian Dior presented their Fall 2014 Haute Couture collection this afternoon (July 7) in Paris, France with a host of familiar faces in the front row.

Charlize Theron: The brand’s golden girl shimmered in the front row wearing a metallic-gold short-sleeved mini dress which showcased those gorgeous gams, which were elongated further with nude pumps. Yellow-gold Anita Ko diamond earring completed her look. Glamour in its simplest form.

Marion Cotillard: Of all the Dior ambassadors, the French actress has perhaps worn the brand most consistently. While not every look has been a hit, she is always a delight to watch. On this occasion she wore a Resort 2014 black top with a fold-over detail and printed silk-scarf panel paired with a high-waisted skirt. The styling was kept simple with Dior pumps and a Miss Dior bag, as was the hair and makeup. Anyone else think this look was crying out for a pair of red pumps?

Jennifer Lawrence: Despite going into her second term as a Dior ambassador, she is still the new kid on the block. Like Marion, Jennifer’s selections for Dior haven’t always been so well received, but on this occasion she proves herself a worthy ambassador, wearing a Resort 2014 ‘Noeud Dior’ printed silk-scarf top paired with a white suede high-waisted skirt. J’adore the two-tone black and white accessories, which included pumps with both ankle and asymmetrical straps, a patent-leather clutch, and Dior tribal earrings. We whine about Jennifer often looking too old in her Dior looks, but I’m sure you will agree this look doesn’t age her at all. This is one of my favourite JLaw/Dior looks (although not a fan of the makeup). And thank God her hairstylist realized they were working with a 20-something star and not Hillary Clinton.

Zhang Ziyi In Elie Saab – 28th Cabourg Film Festival

Zhang Ziyi In Elie Saab R14 - 28th Cabourg Film Festival

Zhang Ziyi was on the red carpet during the fourth day of the 28th Cabourg Film Festival on Saturday (June 14) in Cabourg, France.

The Asian actress stunned in a crimson Elie Saab Resort 2014 long-sleeve gown with sheer insets and a gathered, pleated waist detail, both of which created beautiful shaping and an elegant silhouette.

With the side slit, her blush-hued Brian Atwood ‘Tribeca’ sandals also received a starring role. However, given the softer colour, the chunky platform structure wasn’t too much of an eyesore.

The rest of her styling was of the utmost in sophistication, with a matching red lip, slick updo and gold jewels.

You may recall Iggy Azalea wore a similar red gown from this collection earlier this year.

Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 Front Row

The Place d’Armes in Monte Carlo, Monaco proved just the glossy venue for the Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 show, Nicolas Ghesquière’s second collection for the label, which was held on Saturday (May 17). A chic group of the designer’s darlings—many of whom have also been sighted at the Cannes Film Festival—were seated front and centre for the colourful, eclectic presentation, all correspondingly decked in looks from Vuitton’s Fall 2014 runway.

Jennifer Connelly: The actress trotted out a monochromatic dress with flared sleeves and skirt, accessorized with a small box clutch and patent-black statement booties. The mix of geometric shapes and cutouts, in addition to the armor-like collar overlays, was a lot to manage. Do you think she pulled it off?

Adele Exarchopoulos: Opting for a slightly sportier entrance, the French starlet wore a light lemon-hued zippered blouse with a statement white collar and black detailing. Shiny black leggings, a mini handbag and ankle-strap platform sandals completed her look.

Zhang Ziyi
: Bringing a bolder splash of colour to the proceedings, the Asian actress paired her cerulean-blue and black collared, zipper blouse with a deep eggplant A-line skirt, accented by a burgundy wrap belt.
