Zhang Ziyi switched things up at the 50th Golden Horse Awards after party, changing from one embellished gown to the next.
The Best Leading Actress winner — who wore Chanel Couture to the main event — chose a beautiful black Zuhair Murad floor-length creation with a sheer neckline and all-over flower appliqué design.
She paired her delicately feminine gown with equally light accents: tiny diamond drop earrings, natural makeup, and a sophisticated updo.
I wish the starlet had worn this number to the awards show instead. It’s undeniably lovely on her, much more so than the Chanel look from earlier in the evening.

Zhang Ziyi won the Best Leading Actress award for her performance in ‘The Grandmaster’ at the 50th Golden Horse Awards, held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, Taiwan.
The award-winning actress wore a black Chanel Fall 2012 Couture column gown with white appliqués and a mini tulle train.
While I’m thankful she removed the knitted overlay, I think perhaps she should’ve considered keeping the belt, as the dress it too shapeless for my liking.
This is a rare occasion where the Best Actress doesn’t feature in my personal best dressed at an event.

Zhang Ziyi wore a Chloé Fall 2013 look consisting of a black polka sheer shirt with contrasting white trims with a polka-dot tulle skirt while fulfilling her judging duties on the ‘X Factor’ China finale back in June.
It was a look we didn’t love, especially when styled with white pumps, which many of you have never warmed to no matter how popular they became on the red carpet.
Olivia wore the same skirt with the runway top while attending the ‘Chloé Attitude’ book launch in Paris last month. She styled it with Manolo Blahnik pumps and a Dior clutch.
Both ladies proved that this was best left on the runway, but I will give this to Olivia as she went for the simpler runway top.

On a rain-soaked morning, Zhang Ziyi made her way to the studios of Good Morning America to promote her movie ‘Grandmasters’ wearing an orange Vionnet Resort 2014 drop-waist frock styled with Louboutin pumps, Tesiro earrings and Repossi rings.
Sandra Bullock wore the same dress in the look-book blue-and-orange hue while making a guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
I love both versions of the dress, but if I was presented with both, I would go for Sandy’s version as I would find myself having more fun styling this two-toned look.

Zhang Ziyi attended the opening night of the Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis at Qingdao Beer City on Sunday in Qingdao, China alongside Nicole Kidman and Kate Beckinsale.
She looked beautiful as always, wearing a Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 strapless ivory lace gown featuring an intricate overlay of black embroidered lace.
A decorative necklace and gold clutch styled her effortless look, with a simple bun providing the finishing touch.
Many of you have had much to say about Ziyi’s recent red carpet looks, so how does this look fare?

Zhang Ziyi wore two looks for both the press conference and premiere of her latest movie, ‘Lucky Star’, with only one look being a success in my eyes.
Press Conference: Her first look was a Mikael D Resort 2014 graphic-print dress with a cascade front which, with the right styling, could’ve been an interesting look. Tumbling curls and conservative pumps don’t really complement the edgy design.
Premiere: It was back to tried and true for the premiere, where the actress shone wearing a Georges Hobeika Fall 2013 Couture yellow strapless cocktail dress embroidered with delicate bows, flower-shaped paillettes and Swarovski crystals. If I was to be overly fussy I would say lose the necklace, but the shoes and hair work on this occasion as both complement her pretty frock.
