Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Yaya DaCosta attended the 2012 Women For Women International Gala at Koch Theater, Lincoln Center, in New York City on Thursday which honoured Lucy Liu.

The former America’s Next Top Model contestant-turned-actress wore an African print strapless dress by a designer named Tafari based in Brooklyn, New York.

We are seeing African prints in a modern silhouette more and more on the red carpet as Hollywood stars continue to embrace their cultural roots.

Sporting natural locks, Yaya completed her look with glossy bronze lips and gold statement earrings.

Here are the rest of the looks from the 2010 CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Awards.

Anna Wintour was of course wearing Chanel Fall 2010 Couture.

She looks as regal as ever pairing her beaded dress and jacket with her favourite kitten heels.

Bee Shaffer wore a strapless burgundy Dolce & Gabbana lace dress which she paired with black accessories.

Anna Paquin wore a tweed Richard Chai Love dress with gold bracelets and black Nicholas Kirkwood slingbacks.

Actress and former America’s Next Top Model contestant Yaya DaCosta looked stunning on the red carpet at the “The Kids Are All Right” New York Premiere.

This is the third time this Givenchy Spring 2010 vest had been worn after Rebecca Hall and Juliette Binoche, but it’s the first time I’ve loved it.

Yaya gives the looks a whole new dimension by making her look sexy pairing her Givenchy vest with a black mini skirt.

White peep-toes complement the black and white theme.

I usually hate white shoes, but on this occasion it perfectly completes the look.

This is a BDOTW contender for me.
