Who Wore Preen Better…Louise Redknapp, Olivia Palermo or Yasmin Le Bon?

Who Wore Preen Better Louise Redknapp, Olivia Palermo or Yasmin Le Bon

In the space of a few weeks this Preen poppy flower print dress has become a favourite among celebrities taking to the red carpet.

Louise Redknapp starting things of styling her frock with seductive Malone Souliers ‘Savannah’ sandals while attending the Pride of Britain Awards.

This was followed by Olivia Palermo who enhanced the look further with bold red additions while promoting her Olivia Palermo x Ciate London makeup line in Dublin, Ireland.

Those two previous sightings didn’t put off Yasmin Le Bon who attended the Red Women of the Year Awards in London last night. I love the earthy vibe of this look thanks to those tan booties.

Honestly, they all nailed it.

This serves as great inspiration for me, but I have to give this to Olivia, mostly because by dropping the waist she changed the dynamics of the piece to give her a long, lean silhouette. That’s what really makes her stand out here.

Amber Le Bon & Yasmin Le Bon In Temperley London – 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

GQ Men Of The Year Awards - Red Carpet Arrivals

The genetically-blessed Le Bons took to the red carpet for the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards held at The Royal Opera House on Tuesday (September 2) in London, England looking more like sisters than daughter and mother.

Amber Le Bon: The model wore a Temperley London Fall 2014 silk gown with a soft and ethereal silhouette strikingly embroidered with folk-inspired florals. I love the addition of the punchy pink clutch and the neutral makeup to complement the gown.

Yasmin Le Bon: The supermodel mum also wore Temperley London. While her top and skirt are from the Spring 2014 collection, the mood was darker and more Fall-like as her alluring fil coupé look was in a rich magenta hue. Rendered with a romantic floral pattern, this is such an gorgeous look for Yasmin.

This isn’t a case of who looks better for me. Both ladies look very sophisticated and elegant – something that was lacking at this event – in their contrasting looks which make red carpet dressing seem deceptively easy.

Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party Red Carpet Roundup

Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a quick roundup of some of the other looks from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party at the Royal Academy of Arts on Wednesday (June 4) in London, England.

Yasmin Le Bon: The model wore a pretty Christopher Kane white dress with light-green pleats from the Spring 2014 collection, which she styled with yellow pumps. The pink Christopher Kane clutch and bracelets were perhaps two steps too far.

Sai Bennett: The young British actress wore a black Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 silk dress with colourful star sequins. Not trusting the Great British weather, as she shouldn’t, she styled her look with a black leather jacket. Black pumps and Chanel fine jewelry completed her look.

Jaime Winstone: The actress wore a summery Kate Moss for Topshop white dress styled with a Vivienne Westwood necklace, Dolce & Gabbana floral-print wedges, Louis Vuitton clutch and Dolce & Gabbana embellished shades. The accessories are OTT, but this is true to her quirky style.

Joely Richardson: The British actress braved the mild weather donning a Temperley London Resort 2014 sleeveless dress with a pretty floral-print design.

Yasmin Le Bon In Roksanda Ilincic – British Fashion Awards 2013

Yasmin Le Bon In Roksanda Ilincic - British Fashion Awards 2013

Yasmin Le Bon attended the 2013 British Fashion Awards, held on Monday at the London Coliseum in England.

The statuesque British model wore a Roksanda Ilincic Resort 2014 navy gown, popped with a hemline of bold turquoise and white stripes and trailed by a cape-like appendage at the back.

A shiny PVC wide belt added some shape to the breezier, relaxed silhouette, but the design still could have been more figure-flattering.

Other than the sweep of a light teal, under-eye shadow, she kept her styling rather simple with an updo and a nude lip.

Who Wore Michael Kors Better…Cat Deeley, Doutzen Kros, Miroslava Duma, Yasmin le Bon or Nieves Alvarez?

Who Wore Michael Kors Better Cat Deeley, Doutzen Kros, Miroslava Duma, Yasmin le Bon or Nieves Alvarez

The navy-and-blue Michael Kors Spring 2013 look, featuring a crop top and pleated skirt, was so popular it made five appearances on the red carpet.

It was Cat Deeley who kick-started the obsession with this look when she wore it to the ‘Dukes of Melrose’ launch party back in March styled with a Mulberry bag.

A month later, model Doutzen Kros looked considerably more comfortable in her look which she wore to the Michael Kors and the United Nations World Food Programme dinner, styled with black Michael Kors accessories.

Fashion editor Miroslava Duma styled her look with PVC and black pumps at the Michael Kors London dinner party.

Yasmin le Bon wore the look with a longer top while hosting the Vogue Festival with the designer himself, and finally, Nieves Alvarez wore the much worn look to a Johnsons event in Madrid last month with Christian Louboutin boots, which didn’t work with her look.

Doutzen Kros wins for me as I prefer her overall styling. Cat was my least favourite as she looked the least comfortable rocking the crop top.
