Yara Shahidi In Prada – 2017 American Music Awards

Yara Shahidi was marching to the beat of her own drum at the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 19) in LA.

Setting trends rather than following, the ‘Black-ish’ star donned two Prada embellished looks.

Depending on your love for detail, you’ll with pick either the red carpet look or the press room outfit.

I went for the former.

Why? Because it was the harder of the two look master and she totally nailed it.

Plus I’m charmed by the youthfulness of it all and the mild boy scout reference.

Yara Shahidi In Paco Rabanne – The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Generation 2017

Yara Shahidi was at The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Generation 2017 celebration on Wednesday (November 8) in LA.

Gray menswear suiting took on new meaning in her Paco Rabanne Fall 2017 ensemble, with an intriguing mix of feminine and androgynous themes.

Yara seems to have the innate ability to bring vibrancy to any look–even one that’s cast in multiple shades of gray.

I like the modification of the tailored waistband at the natural waist to increase the elegance of the tunic top and parachute pants.

Asymmetrical earrings completed the look with a sparkling, on-trend twist.

Yara Shahidi In Chanel – ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration

Yara Shahidi joined host of stars for ELLE’s 24th Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration on Monday (October 16) in Beverly Hills, California.

While I adore Yara’s more experimental style, I was totally charmed by her in this Chanel Fall 2017 white dress with sequin embroidery.

I love the mod-chic silhouette and the playful twist the Chanel brogues bring to the look.

Glamour’s ‘The Girl Project’

Celebrities came together on Wednesday (October 11) in New York City in honour of Glamour’s ‘The Girl Project’ to celebrate the new school year and to inspire girls to succeed academically and to take on the world.

Yara Shahidi: The ‘Black-ish’ actress showed off her personal flair while promoting an important message with her Hstry ‘Respect Existence Or Expect Resistance’ long-sleeve tee. She paired it with a vivid red Prada angora skirt from the Fall 2017 collection which was decorated with light blue flowers. FoundRae jewels completed her look.

Freida Pinto: There were details aplenty in the Indian actress’s outfit. The red, black and white dress was trimmed in black. Furthermore, it featured an asymmetrical hem and long sleeves mixed with thin straps. Despite the numerous details, the look wasn’t overwhelming thanks to her minimalist styling.

Uzo Aduba: The ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress struck a pose in a Rebecca Taylor printed black jumpsuit. The one-shoulder neckline with ruffle had a feminine charm. I especially love the way Uzo’s hairstyle mimicked the asymmetry and volume of the bodice to create a cohesive finish.

Yara Shahidi In Prada – 2017 Emmy Awards

Yara Shahidi continues to impress on the red carpet, with the 2017 Emmy Awards providing yet another instance where the young starlet showed her unique embrace of style on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

As we know quite well, embellished Prada gowns can either go so right or so wrong, but Yara’s delightful Prada dress fell firmly in the success column.

I love how the nearly nude hue of the gown made the lushness of the foliage-green, sequin motif and the shiny braided belt come alive.

Prada clutch and shoes rounded out the modern, storybook look.

Yara Shahidi In Zimmermann & Rodarte – 2017 MTV VMAs

Yara Shahidi also opted for two stylish looks for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 27), with asymmetry her red carpet M.O.

The first was a sleek Zimmermann gold gown which may have suffered with some creases at the waist, yet she still looked utterly radiant.

This was my favourite of the two.

Her Rodarte Fall 2017 pearl embellished bustier top and skirt possessed plenty after-party appeal. I love how fresh and youthful this look is.

However, looking at both ensembles, my feeling is that her Rodarte look would’ve looked better with her rose-gold Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Darcie’ sandals.

Thoughts?
