Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Worst Dressed Award
Amber Rose wore a snake-print long sleeved jumpsuit.

Enough said.

Most Predictable Award
After sitting front row at the Herve Leger show earlier this afternoon in a pink Herve Leger dress, Amanda Bynes doesn’t let us down.

LBD + Trib Two’s = yawwwwnnnnnn.

Most Ill-Fitting Award
Beyonce Knowles is wearing a pretty dress, but the skirt looks way too tight. The detail on the front is only adding to this problem.

What is it with Britney and Beyonce and this need to wear clothes that just don’t flatter.

Worst Brand Ambassador Award
I know Christopher Kane is really hot right now as we’ve seen similar versions of this black tulle skirt with velvet spiral trim in the past week. But shouldn’t Whitney have used this opportunity to promote her own debut collection she presented just 2 days ago?

Just asking.

It’s Lauren Conrad Collection all over again.

I Tried To Love It, But I Can’t Award
I didn’t like this Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress the first time we saw it on the red carpet, and Jennifer Lopez does nothing to change my mind.

I love that she’s not being predictable, but I’ve never liked this dress.

The singer pairs her dress with Christian Louboutin peep-toe lace ankle boots, with a leopard print heel.

Oh The Irony Award
Ashley Greene was the fashion correspondent for the night, which I found totally ironic considering how bad I thought she looked.

She arrived wearing this D&G gold skirt and a black strappy corset with ruffled edges, but later changed into a worse red skirt which bunched up like Beyonce’s.

I also really hated her gold skirt white clutch combo.

Ashley has to be the worst fashion correspondent ever, as she only asked Taylor Lautner what he was wearing despite interviewing Jennifer Lopez and Leighton Meester.

Worst Hair Award
Why do I always get a sense that Lauren Conrad just isn’t trying?

The dress is pretty if you like middle of the road on the red carpet, but the hair is just atrocious.  It ages her dramatically.

Worst Balmain Award
Despite us all laughing at Pink and Shakira’s expense for wearing the same Balmain dress on the red carpet tonight, Pink didn’t do this dress any justice.

For me it makes her look even more boxy.

Whitney Eve was the debut collection for “The City” star Whitney Port.

In the programme notes she said the inspiration was Alice in Wonderland goes to a cocktail party.

I expected boho chic as that’s the look Whitney loves, but I was presented with sugary sweet pieces which I’m sure her fan base will love.

Kimono dresses, Grecian dresses, gold metallics, candy coloured two-piece ensembles, suit jackets, playful strapless dresses with tulle and frilly blouses, glittery halter dresses and satin body suits were presented.

Click here to view the whole collection.

I expected BFF Lauren Conrad to be in the front row to support her friend, but she was a no-show.

Charlotte Ronson, Olivia Palermo, Jay Lyons, and Allie were all in the front row to support their co-star.

Kelly Cutrone worked the show co-ordinating the production, and I’m sure she was very proud of Whit.

For once I don’t smell any desperation with Cassie’s look, and I’m just grateful she’s wearing a bra under her sheer top.

The wannabee style maven wore a black and green Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 tulip skirt with gold Christian Louboutin open toe booties.

The only thing I’m not liking are the bubblegum pink nails as they’re distracting.

When this Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress was presented it was labeled the ‘bin-liner’ dress, and I was sure no one would be brave enough to wear it on the red carpet.

I’ve been proved wrong for the second time, as Estelle looked pretty damn fierce in her dress.

The only thing needed with this dress were a pair of statement heels so her stand-out fuchsia pink Alexander McQueen heart peep-toe heels were a perfect choice.

Whitney Port is very much starting to dress like a sophisticated New Yorker. Gone is the boho style she loved for so long.

“The City” star was back in town after a break from filming and she looks quite breath-taking wearing a LBD from the Rachel Comey Spring 2009 collection.

The dress has cut-out sides and peplum on the hips.

It looks like she has been hanging out with Olivia Palmero too much, as her hair has been styled in Olivia favourite look.

A stunning pearl Erickson Beamon necklace and Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes completed this fabulous look.

“Gossip Girl” actress Jessica Szohr wore a cute and girlie lace mini dress from the Gossip Girl inspired Anna Sui for Target collection, but she toughened up her look with a military Temperley London jacket and chunky jewelery.

Like everyone else who wore at least one thing from LV, Jessica opted for the Fall 2009 platform heels.

There’s lot going on with the mix of patterns but I quite like this look.

Miranda Kerr embraced summer wearing a sleeveless satin dress with oversized ruffles.

She teamed her dress with black ankle-strap peep-toe heels and a gold Louis Vuitton African Queen clutch.

As many of you correctly pointed out Carrie Underwood was the first to wear this gorgeous black sequined Pamella Roland Spring 2009 mini dress with silver sequined circles and bell sleeves when she attended the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Party.

Silver accessories including earrings, a silver clutch and strappy sandals complemented her dress.

Whitney Port wore the same dress recently to the “I Love Gen Art” 15th Anniversary Benefit in New York.

Whitney wore less bling, just a simple ruby ring.

As much as I dislike Carrie’s hair, I hate Whitney’s choice of pumps with this dress so Carrie wins for me.

I Love Gen Art: 15th Anniversary Benefit, New York

Whitney Port channeled a swinging 60s look wearing a gorgeous black sequined Pamella Roland Spring 2009 mini dress with silver sequined circles and bell sleeves.

The shoes really let her down, but everything else works for me.

Audi TDI Dinner, LA

Miranda Kerr stepped out with her beau Orlando Bloom looking very summery wearing a nude bandage dress from the Stella McCartney Spring 2009 collection, which complemented her nude Christian Louboutin pumps.

Her look was complete with a crisp white blazer and a Prada lace bowler bag.

“Hung” Series Premiere, LA

I adore the vivid raspberry colour of Perrey Reeves’ silk one shoulder Reem Acra Resort 2009 dress which drapes so elegantly.

Jimmy Choo Flynn mirrored leather sandals complete this stunning look.

Anne Heche wore a black Paule Ka dress with a stunning silver necklace which really brought life to her look.

Black Jimmy Choo platforms completed her look.

Dsquared2 Menswear Show, Milan

Kelly Osbourne goes for a sophisticated look wearing a cobalt blue voluminous shift dress paired with studded Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

The star kept her punky blonde crop slicked down to complete the look.

AXE Instinct Power Of Leather Launch Party, New York

Ashlee Simpson she shows off her figure in a mirrored silver mini skirt teamed with a black sweetheart Ina Soltani bustier corset top and sexy gladiator heels.

“Tetro” Madrid Premiere

Without even trying Maribel Verdu oozes sexy sophistication in her LBD which she wears with YSL criss cross heels.

“Public Enemies” LA Premiere

This is not my favourite look for Rosario Dawson.

The Dries van Noten mosaic print dress is so shapeless and unflattering on her.

35th Annual Saturn Awards, LA

Kristen Bell’s dress has far too much going on with the fringe and the criss cross bolero.  This has to be one of her worst ever red carpet looks.

Best Dressed Award
Zoe Saldana continues to impress me. “Star Trek” has push her in the limelight, but her great choices in on the red carpet increase her star status.

Take this Calvin Klein Resort 2010 grey dress for example. It was plain and quite boring on the runway, but Zoe brings it to life.

She makes it sexy and sassy without much effort.

Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven? Award
*Sighs*

Could Anja Rubik be anymore beautiful? Anja and Halle Berry should be allow to walk amongst us normal folk.

The stunning supermodel arriving looking angelic wearing a white Kaufman Franco Fall 2009 one-shouldered gown.

She wore the gown without it’s ruffled detail on the behind, which showed how dangerously low the dress was cut.

On some Megan Fox this would have been deemed trashy, but on Anja *sighs* just damn sexy.

Best Use of Colour Award
There’s always a 50/50 split when it comes to Blake Lively.

I hope when you see her looking drop dead gorgeous wearing this neon pink Michael Kors Fall 2009 strapless sheath dress, more of you will be swayed to liking her.

Her twins aren’t on display, she looks youthful, vibrant and sexy.

What’s not to love?

Best Modification Award
Jason Wu really understood his muse for the night, as he took this sophisticated business-like runway dress and turned it into a sexy mini for Diane Kruger.

Diane would look great in a bin liner lets face it, but the colour, length, fabric and embellished embroidered shoulders really looks amazing on her.

I hate to be picky but I really wish she would change her hairstyle more often. I feel like we see this style a lot.

Model Magic Award
Many of you who loved the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 collection were non to happy when Rihanna arrived at the Met Gala wearing a black suit from the collection.

Molly Sims should bring that enthusiasm back because she looked so cute and playful wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 strapless dress, with a Marilyn Monroe print emblazoned on it.

Risk That Paid Off Award
This is a rare red carpet outing for Kirsten Dunst.

The actress always opts for bold pieces which don’t always work, but on this occasion she looks amazing.

Rodarte is never a safe choice. The pieces are bold, edgy and dynamic plus you need the right kind of attitude to pull a Rodarte piece off.

She totally does with grey Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Most Theatrical Award
At first I really disliked Doutzen Kroes in this red Zac Posen gown, mostly because I thought it was too grand for her. Plus I’m so used to seeing her in Herve Leger I didn’t quite think it was her style.

Then I realised how much better the dress looks without the gold belt, and appreciated the way she had made an effort to make the gown work for her.

Best Vintage Award
As much as I appreciate the Olsen twins picking interesting vintage pieces, I would love to see them in something off-the-runway more often.

Ashley Olsen wore an orange vintage gown with gold leaf embroidery around the shoulders. Her look was complete with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels and Versace heels.

Some might say it’s a little too big for her. I would say it’s better than a bandage dress.

Glorious Glow Award
Even if Heidi Klum wasn’t pregnant and wearing a silver crushed lame Michael Kors asymmetrical mini dress, she would still glow. So these added elements only make her more beautiful.

Her silver Christian Louboutin Anthracite Ole Ole heels and clutch matched her dress, but it’s her earrings I’m drooling over.

Best Black Award
Claire Danes is never one I can get excited about on the red carpet, but I do love her quiet elegant style. Some would call it boring, for me is very understated.

The actress looked elegant wearing a black Narciso Rodriguez embroidered black silk crepe gown which was cut low at the front and open at the back.

Best Legs Award
Model Hilary Rhoda arrived wearing a gorgeous one-shouldered Calvin Klein dress which showed off how incredibly long her pins are.

If you got it flaunt it honey.

Her look was completed with her hair pulled back in a tight bun and a VBH clutch.

Stepping Out Of Her Comfort Zone Award
Maggie Grace is usually very boring on the red carpet, so imagine my surprise to see her wearing this Christian Siriano Spring 2009 grey ruffled confection.

Every time I see a variation of this dress on the red carpet it’s belted.

It would be nice to see it without a belt if its worn again in the future, but the belt does work for Maggie here.

Best Accessories Award
Stylist Rachel Zoe arrived wearing a Louis Vuitton peachy gown, which I first thought was a Marc Jacobs gown as it resembles the finale gowns that were presented in the Spring 2009 collection, but her twitter message confirm that it’s Louis Vuitton.

Her golden accessories including a Louis Vuitton clutch, vintage Chanel earrings, plus Yossi Harari rings and bracelets.

Simple Yet Always Elegant Award
Kerry Washington has opted for a lot of bold choices lately wearing Louis Vuitton edgy ensembles, so it’s nice to see her bring her look back to a softer more elegant style we usually associate her with.

Last night she glowed wearing a silverly grey Doo.Ri Resort 2010 sleeveless gown with a plunging neckline.

Her jewels were also simple and she opted for a matching silver Swarovski clutch.

Best Embellishments Award
Whist Melissa George’s Nicole Miller gown has no shape, I am totally captivated by the embroidered crystals on her strapless gown.  Exquisite.

Black to Black Award
Yes I’m referring to Coco Rocha hair, which she debut on her blog a few weeks ago.

The supermodel wore an asymmetrical Michael Kors red Resort 2010 slide dress with a black print.

Her look was paired with a gold cuff, black strappy sandals and a matching clutch.

The Wow Moment Award
Comedian Tracey Ullman really shocked me when I saw her in this glorious red Doo.Ri gown with an asymmetrical neckline.

I don’t think I have ever seen her look so fabulous.

No BoHo Award
Finally Whitney Port has ditched that hippy chick look, for a fresh sophisticated look wearing a Luca Luca Fall 2009 halter gown.

The draped silver beaded gown sparkled so beautifully. She really out did herself here. I’m totally wowed by her
