Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Whitney Port arrived at the NYLON Young Hollywood Party at the Roosevelt Hotel in LA last night with her boyfriend Ben Nemtin.

As much as Olivia Palermo likes to take sly digs at Whitney’s style, I think she looked really good at this event.

“The City” star wore a stunning sunshine yellow Rachel Roy Spring 2010 draped dress.

I love this dress on her because she has the height to pull it off, its a beautiful burst of colour and it’s so different to what she normally wears.

As much as I hate handbags on the red carpet, her one doesn’t ick me too much as I’m glad she didn’t wear it as a cross-over bag.

What I love most about her look are her open-toe Giuseppe Zanotti shoes which are covered in colourful embellishments.

It looks like the Jennifer Lopez’ Lanvin high bun is catching on, as Whitney Port sported a similar hairstyle at the DKMS’ 4th Annual Gala in New York last night.

In keeping with her boho maxi dress style, Whitney opted for a Zac Posen Spring 2010 print dress with flowing long sleeves.

The dress was paired with stunning Everlon Diamond knot pendant earrings and a Giuseppe Zanotti black clutch.

I really like this look.

It’s very much what I would expect from Whitney, but I would like to see her wearing her own collection more often.

I’m not so crazy about Kristin Cavallari’s hair and make-up, but I did like her ensemble.

‘The Hills’ star wore a black Dolce & Gabbana bustier paired with a Chanel belt and a 3.1 Phillip Lim zipper skirt from the Spring 2009 collection.

Stephanie Pratt sparkled wearing a blue sequined French Connection dress which makes her baby blues pop.

She paired her stunning dress with a navy blue clutch and YSL Trib Two’s.

This has to be one of Stephanie’s best red carpet looks. She really stepping things and becoming more polished.

After a few red carpet appearance sans tights Leona Lewis wears them on this occasion.

The star opted for a colourful sequined Catherine Malandrino skirt which she paired with a black top and Vivienne Westwood lilac Lady Dragon heart slingbacks.

I’m not at all fond of this look and its the top that’s at fault.

Everything else feels so well thought out, but the top feels like it was thrown on at the last minute.

After a summer flirtation with being blonde, Audrina Patridge returns to her luscious brunette locks.

The reality tv star wore a silver Rachel Roy dress and grey YSL Trib Two slingback heels.

I love the way the pockets drape which adds plenty of flair to this Rachel Rachel Roy number.

She look so beautiful.

Monique Coleman opted for a bold chartreuse colour which she loved showing off on this red carpet.

Whitney Port still hasn’t worn her Whitney Eve Spring 2010 collection.  Maybe she’s just waiting for Spring to arrive before she starts wearing it.

Instead she wore a delicate vintage dress paired with Guiseppe Zanotti gold heels to this event.

Like Stephanie, Karina Smirnoff also wore a French Connection dress, but hers was classic black with a asymmetrical front ruffle to add a bit of flair.

What I love most about this look is Karina’s Miu Miu heels which are to die for.

Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, Florida

Michelle Monaghan was honoured with the “Rising Star on the Horizon Award” at this Festival whilst glowing in a RM by Roland Mouret Traverse wool shift dress.

She paired with black strappy sandals and a gold clutch.

This is such a sophisticated look for the beautiful actress.

Black Eyed Peas Official After Party, LA

Fergie opted for a one-sleeved Gucci Fall 2009 black and silver tunic dress.

She wore her dress with the popular Gucci Division over-the-knee boots which celebrities have fallen in love with.

2009 Environmental Media Awards, LA

Olivia Wilde looks outstanding wearing a Stella McCartney stretch lace panel dress.

I love the way she wore her hair back so we can see all the detail on her stunning dress.

Normally I’m wowed by Katie Cassidy on the red carpet, but not so much on this occasion.

She still looks great in her white and black printed one-sleeved Loeffler Randall dress, but the Guiseppe Zanotti booties don’t work for me.

She completed her look with a Christian Louboutin Loubistuds clutch.

Ginnifer Goodwin wore a very pretty white strapless 1 OAK dress made from recycled materials, which she paired with contrasting accessories including a black ribbon belt, a black clutch and grey Stella McCartney heels for a prim and polished look.

Jet Nightclub At The Mirage, Las Vegas

Whitney Port looked gorgeous in a coral patterned Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 dress with a high neck and ultra short hem. I love the dress, but when is she going to wear something from her own Spring 2010 collection?

The host of this party paired her dress with sparkling Giuseppe Zanotti jeweled sandals.

Yesterday Lauren Conrad launched her new contemporary clothing brand, LC Lauren Conrad at Kohl’s Department stores and on Kohls.com.

The collection included jeans, dresses, tops and bottoms at afford price points.  My favourite piece is the watercolour ruffle dress which is currently on sale for $41.99.

At the launch party Lauren Conrad wore her hair tied back in a slick pony-tail to create a different look, but I still found myself bored by the black oversized sweater dress.

The kick-ass Givenchy heels perked me up a bit.

Lauren Bosworth supported her friend at this event.

She arrived wearing a Topshop sequined vest paired with a navy suit suit.

Her dark accessories completed the look.

Whitney Port opted for leather shorts and a cute 3/4 length sleeved top.

I loved the pink Chanel bag, but I wasn’t so crazy about the leopard print ankle boots.

2009 VH1 Divas

For the love of god, can someone PLEASE, Please, please help this girl.

Even if you take her to Topshop, just so she can see what girls her age wear.

What the fudge is she wearing?

The runway version of her Dsquared² Fall 2009 was not hiked up to the thigh displaying fish-net tights.

There is no need for all the modifications.

When Selena Gomez is getting it so right, Miley gets it so very wrong.

Another red carpet event, and another missed opportunity for Whitney Port to promote her own Spring 2010 collection.

This time the designer opts for a La Perla Spring 2009 black chiffon dress with nude underlay and jeweled shoulder detail. *shudders*

What was she thinking?

Hopefully not that this is a good look, because she would be wrong.

Finally a Kelly Clarkson look I really love.

The singer wore a stunning black velvet one shoulder David Meister gown with feather corsage.

Everything works.

It looks like Whitney Port can’t even get her BFF to wear her Spring 2010 collection, which is not fair as Whitney wore Lauren Conrad Collection several times.

Lauren Conrad wore a green sequined Alice + Olivia dress paired with black satin peep-toes.

I do like this look, surprisingly it’s not boring.

Jennifer Hudson proudly shows off her post-baby figure wearing a figure hugging metallic dress with thigh-high boots.

Love Leona Lewis’ lilac off-the-shoulder Halston gown, but I absolutely hate the black Vivienne Westwood corset.

So unnecessary and makes this a waste of a stunning gown.

Jordin Sparks’ dress lack any.

Sparks that is.

Sheryl Crow opted for a red satin Dolce & Gabbana dress with black tulle overlay with a black waistband.

We normally see more colour or a rocker look from Sheryl, so this is a refreshing change.

“Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married”.

Toni Braxton’s white gown is too bridal for my tastes.

TV personality Kim Zolciak gets herself notice wearing a Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 dress as worn by Madonna.

UK singer Adele wore a black Barbara Tfank dress which had gold ribbon embroidery.
