Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Whitney Port was papped shopping in New York City wearing an Alice + Oliva sequin top.

Her look was also paired with Current/Elliott boyfriend jeans, a Valentino 360 studded bag and Loeffler Randall heels.

Miranda Cosgrove wore her stripes with black pants and biker boots to the “Frank and Derol” gig in West Hollywood early last month.

And finally Brooklyn Decker, Model and wife of Andy Roddick, showed she has great style by pairing her top with a khaki skirt and leopard print heels.

Brooklyn wins for me because her look effortless compared to Whitney, and closer to my personal style than Miranda’s.

This Alice + Oliva sequin top is available from Net-A-Porter.com, Shopbop.com and Bloomingdales.

There have been rumors that “The City” is in it’s final season.

Whitney Port put the rumors straight by stated on her website:

“To my friends and fans, I want to clear the air and let you all know that the rumors that have been circulating about The City being canceled are NOT true!”

Oh joy.

As must as I’m addicted to “The City”, I was kinda hoping it would be canceled so MTV could bring ”Kel On Earth” to the UK. I saw episode when I was in New York and I LOVE it.

Whitney clearly doesn’t let rumors get to her, as she was seen looking very relaxed and happy whilst hailing cab the West Village, New York.

Her tee looks like it hasn’t seen an iron in a while, but I’m more interested in her tie-dye Lela Rose Spring 2010 shorts.

The designer added a lemon shoulder bag and ballerina flats to her look.

When Olivia Palermo was asked in an interview what she thought of Whitney’s style she replied, “Her style is very different.  It’s not for everyone”.

Ouch, but I agree.

Nice Dress, Shame About The Shoes Award
We haven’t seen Moschino worn by celebrities for a while, but on the red carpet at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards last night we saw our second look from the Spring 2010 collection within a week.

First Katy Perry on a photo shoot last week, now Whitney Port on the red carpet.

I love everything about this quirky colourful look.

It’s very Whitney who’s not afraid of clashing prints or bright colours, but I feel very let down by her very formal footwear.

They’re very first interview worthy, not so red carpet worthy unless you’re Katie Holmes.

Last night Yves Saint Laurent premiered its latest fragrance ‘Belle D’Opium’ in New York City and threw a swanky party to celebrate it.

Many stars attended including Ashley Olsen.

Normally I don’t stop to pay much attention to the Olsen’s, but I must say I do love her turban. It brightens up what would’ve been a very dull look.

Maggie Gyllenhaal looks stunning wearing a sweetheart neckline pink chiffon YSL Edition Soir 2010 dress which she paired with Yves Saint Laurent Hamptons Tribute sandals.

Whitney Port has fallen in love with Yigal Azrouël Spring 2010 collection as she’s wearing her second piece.

This time she wears a black Yigal Azrouël cut-out jersey dress, with black pumps and a black Giuseppe Zanotti bag.

Alexa Chung – who was the DJ on the night – was of course in YSL.

She wore a pair of leather slashed shorts from the Spring 2010 collection.

I love the simple grey tee, but I the Mulberry bag and that granny cardigan has to go.

Pretty, but Meh Award
Whitney Port attended CFDA Awards last night at the guest of designer David Meister.

The designer custom-made this glazed smoke jersey halter gown for her which shows off her fabulous figure.

It’s a pretty gown, but I’m not wowed by it all.

I find myself being much more interested in her shoes.

Whitney paired her look with a Jimmy Choo ‘Cosma’ clutch.

“The City” star Whitney Port and “The Hills” reality TV stars Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Lauren Bosworth all looked fabulous on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards in LA last night.

I really loved Whitney’s Yigal Azrouël Spring 2010 sleeveless dress.

The contrast of the stone netting with the yellow appliqués makes this dress really interesting.

Sergio Rossi fishnet crystal embellished booties complete the look.

Stephanie’s Leila Shams Spring 2010 asymmetrical dress had a 80s feel to it with the neon colours which I really loved.

Shame she let the look down with inspiring pumps.

Audrina loves to complete her looks with stand out heels.

On this occasion she opted to wear Giuseppe Zanotti multi strap studded and embellishment sandals with her silver sequin CD Green tunic dress and black Judith Leiber clutch.

Lo looks gorgeous in her orange Diane von Furstenberg gown.

This has to be one of her best ever red carpet looks, but it’s so not right for this event.

Don’t these girls share a house?

Couldn’t one of them said to her, “Where do you think you are going, to the Oscars?”
