Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Whitney Port was my favourite on the red carpet at the grand opening of Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas last week.

The reality TV star wore a Jill Stuart Fall 2010 dress.

I love both the texture and bold shoulders on her teal shimmering dress.

Whitney added a gold statement necklace to her fashion forward look along with a Lauren Merkin’s ‘Iris’ clutch

Her trademark high bun and nude strappy sandals completed her look.

My first pick of 2011 for BDOTW.

The necklace really helps sell this look.

Here’s one more from last nights 2010 American Music Awards.

Whitney Port arrived on the red carpet at the music event wearing a Rafael Cennamo dress.

The flirty draped one-shoulder belted dress is beautiful. It the perfect dress for such an occasion and it very much suits Whitney’s style.

My problem with the look is her hairstyle as it ages her plus the shoes are not right for such a dress.

This is a great example of how one piece can be worn so very differently.

Whitney Port and Kourtney Kardashian both wore a Rebecca Minkoff amber leather pleated skirt in very different ways.

Whitney opted for a more relaxed downtown look by adding a Rebecca Minkoff Alicia top, black brogues and a pink Chanel bag whilst out running errands in New York City.

Kourtney opted for an uptown look to complement boyfriend Scott who was wearing a 3 piece suit.

Her look included a Ralph Lauren white shirt, a Chanel belt, Alexander McQueen shoes and her favourite Christian Louboutin sweet charity bag.

I love Kourtney’s look, but I wish she hadn’t steamed out the pleats.

Whitney wins as her look feels more effortless and she’s managed to keep the pleats in her skirt.

Whitney Port attended two events recently wearing Camilla and Marc looks paired with Jimmy Choo heels.

At yesterdays “Kiss For a Cause” event held at Sephora in Hollywood she wore a white Camilla and Marc ‘Dawning frock”.

Her cute dress with ruffled details was paired with khaki Jimmy Choo ‘Jenna’ heels.

Love the dress, but not sold on the hair and make-up.

On Wednesday she attended the Dior Luncheon in LA wearing another Camilla and Marc look.

The look included a Heroe jacket and a Maeve skirt.

This is a sophisticated look for ‘The City’ star. It’s not often we get to see her looking so glam.

I really love the hair and make-up which were done by Dior Beauty. She should channel this look more often.

She certainly was dressed to impress.

Jimmy Choo Quinze booties complete the look.

I see Camilla and Marc, Jimmy Choo but no Whitney Eve.

Whitney Port looked very colourful on the red carpet at MTV’s “The Hills” Live: A Hollywood Ending Finale, which was held at the Roosevelt Hotel in LA last night.

When it comes to colour Whitney never lets me down.

The reality star wore a mini dress from Matthew Williamson’s Spring 2010 collection, and not Whitney Eve.

This would’ve been yet another perfect occasion to show off her designs, but she opted for yet another designer.

Her kaleidoscopic summery dress was paired with Jimmy Choo Quito snakeskin shoe boots.

I love everything about this look from her dress to her flowing blonde hair, but those heels are killing me. Stone dead.

From the ankles up, she’s gorgeous.

Whitney Port was papped shopping in New York City wearing an Alice + Oliva sequin top.

Her look was also paired with Current/Elliott boyfriend jeans, a Valentino 360 studded bag and Loeffler Randall heels.

Miranda Cosgrove wore her stripes with black pants and biker boots to the “Frank and Derol” gig in West Hollywood early last month.

And finally Brooklyn Decker, Model and wife of Andy Roddick, showed she has great style by pairing her top with a khaki skirt and leopard print heels.

Brooklyn wins for me because her look effortless compared to Whitney, and closer to my personal style than Miranda’s.

This Alice + Oliva sequin top is available from Net-A-Porter.com, Shopbop.com and Bloomingdales.
