Yesterday her Whitney Houston’s highly-anticipated new album, “I Look To You” when on sale, and she made an appearance on “Good Morning America”.

This weekend singer was spotted leaving her trailer on her way to the set of her latest video shoot in New York.

She appears to have turned back the clock about 20 years, sporting a curly do whilst wearing the sequined version of the Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2009 dress we also saw Amber Valletta wear to the Women In Film’s 2009 Crystal and Lucy Awards.

The singer paired her dress with Sigerson Morrison boots and a huge smile.

Whitney graces the cover of Ebony Magazine’s October 2009 issue. She opens up about shedding her excess baggage and her rise and fall in the industry.

On her life journey and battles: “I shed a lot of stuff, a lot of unnecessary weight in the last three or four years. I left a lot of old luggage behind, and when I did, the blessings just started pouring on me, and the light in my spirit started to lift again.”

Last Tuesday evening at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in London, music industry journalists gathered hear Whitney Houston’s new album “I Look To You”.

This will be the first album of original material Whitney has recorded since 2002.

At the event Whitney’s album artwork was revealed.

The star looks refreshed and beautiful - but slightly over airbrushed - wearing an elegant Herve Leger one-shoulder sliver and white striped dress.

Her hair was beautifully coiffed with honey coloured highlights, signally that the star is back with some style.

A second piece of artwork sees the singer looking sexier wearing a black paillette covered Carmen Marc Valvo Spring 2009 dress with a square neckline.

Her hair is straight whilst she gives us a sassy pose.

Songs for the album have been produced and written by Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am, songwriter Sean Garrett and R&B singer Akon.

The album will be available on September 1 and I can’t wait.

Madonna unknowingly stole Whitney’s comeback thunder by wearing the same dress when she arrived at Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s “Gold” club after performing in Milan.

The fashion designers were happily at her side upon arrival.

She wore her dress with Christian Louboutin Lillian Mary Janes, a crucifix and a silver bracelet.

As much as I want to give this to Whitney, the choker and tights ruined the look for me so Madonna wins.

It is me or is the Grammy show looking better than the Grammy red carpet?

Gwyneth Paltrow was a surprise at this show, but then considering her husband was up for many awards with his group Coldplay, her appearance then no longer becomes a surprise.

The gorgeous actress surprised me by wearing a stunning gold and silver sequined Versace Spring 2009 strapless mini. Unfortunately she didn’t dare to wear without tights.

I can’t remember her ever wearing Versace.

Her look was complete with strappy sandals and Chopard jewels.

My BFF Queen Latifah wore a custom cobalt blue Gustavo Cadile strapless cocktail dress.

I love the way the fringed detail moves as she walks in her stunning gown, and the ruched bodice give her a gorgeous shape.

The legendary singer wore a blue and beige ombre strapless Zuhair Murad Resort 2009 gown. The gown had a floral sequin detail at the waist, and sexy side slit.

I feel another girl crush coming on.

Jennifer Hudson continued to look amazing on stage when she performed You Pulled Me Through, which earned her a standing ovation.

Carrie Underwood performed in a gold sequined pant suit, with a nude sheer overlay.

Not sure what the black harness is for.

Following her performance Carrie changed into another Zuhair Murad dress. This one was a green silk chiffon baby doll bubble dress with floral bodice, and beaded cap sleeves.

Katy Perry performs in a fruit of the loon mini dress.

Another gorgeous pink dress from Katy Perry. This time she wore a pale pink silk chiffon v-front ruffled mini Jenny Packham Spring 2009 dress with crystal waist detail and matching pink heels,

Estelle continued her space age look wearing another Bernard Chandran dress in the press room.

Mary J Blige wore a red Michael Kors Spring 2009 dress. I like the dress, but I liked it better on the runway with a the red patent belt.

What I do love here is her metallic elaphe snakeskin Jimmy Choo clutch with gold hardware.

The nights host Gabrielle Union wore a black asymmetrical Reem Acra Pre-Fall 2009 gown, which had a jeweled detail on the shoulder.

Of her many wardrobe changes, Gabrielle wore a white David Meister Spring 2008 jersey with beading details on the waist.

I like her red dress from the thighs up, but I am very surprised that after walking the red carpet in a black dress, that she wore a further 2 black dresses to present in.

Come on Gabrielle, mix is up a little. Give us more variety.

Queen Latifah arrived wearing an off-the-shoulder black lace dress.

I much preferred her Pamella Roland Fall 2008 strapless gown with a satin sash at the waist, in the colour of the moment, electric blue.

A gown really fit for a Queen.

Joss Stone arrived in head to toe silver.

Why wear just a goregous emerald green gown, if you are going to cover in with a coat Angela Bassett?

I love her hair cut.

When I comes to red carpet events, Fergie usually shoes of her best asset which is her legs.

Why on this occasion did she cover up her best assets with a maxi dress?

Even when maxi dresses were all the rage Fergie did not conform. In saying all that, the dress does look very nice on her.

Another person who went maxi was Alicia Keys.

I always wonder if celebs have true friends or mirrors, because a true friend would point out that deodorant mark right?

I can’t even go into how hideous the make up is. She looks like a mannequin.

Ashanti’s hair looks like she left curlers in her hair before stepping out to this event, but it is just her highlights.

The dress and the shoes are just OK, but the foundation is about 4 shades too light for her.

On anyone else this canary ensemble would not have worked, but on Zhang Ziyi it does beautifully.

A little boring for Lindsay Lohan, but I do love the colour on her.

Speaking of boring, Ashlee Simpson wore this knitted gold turtle neck dress.

I actually like Fantasia hair, she has the right kick ass attitude to pull it off, and I like the rough with the smooth contrast in the hair and the dress…..but, she should have kept her mouth closed.

This masculine look may have worked on Natasha Bedingfield had she not worn that hideous eyeshadow.
