Victoria Pendleton In Paul Smith - Ladies Day Royal Ascot

Considering the grey skies and the downpour we had in England earlier today, I am not surprised that Victoria Pendleton attended Royal Ascot on Ladies’ Day, held at Ascot Racecourse, wearing autumnal colours.

Her festive Paul Smith black-green-and-red abstract-print fit-and-flare dress was accented with a patent-leather belt and topped off with an obligatory Philip Treacy hat in a red hue, which really lifts the look along with her bold red lip colour.

Had it not been for the hat, I may have missed this look altogether.

Burberry Fall 2013 Front Row

As is customary, quite the coterie of starlets stylishly resided on Burberry Prorsum’s front row to see just what Christopher Bailey had in store for Fall 2013; a collection he titled “Trench Kisses, A Collection of Classics and Christine Keeler.” While it was hard to compete with the designer’s gorgeous runway heroines, many of these cool-girl guests rocked their Burberry best at London’s Kensington Gardens on Monday afternoon and gave the models a good run.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: The British model and actress broke out a sleek coral-red pantsuit for her front-row seat at the show. Was it mannish? Yes. But with the slim fit and the impeccable tailoring, no to mention Rosie’s voluminous waves, she looked like she just stepped off the runway herself.

Freida Pinto: Opting for a cooler palette of jewel tones, the actress wore a dark sapphire corset and emerald green trouser from Burberry Prorsum’s colour-saturated Spring 2013 collection. Instead of the cropped biker jacket originally featured on the catwalk, Freida added a black sash detail to the peplum waist of the top. Without any accessories on this look, I would have at least liked to see the added zest of the runway’s golden yellow shoe. But she played off the black with her peep-toe wedge.

Rita Ora: We can always count on this British songstress to pump up the volume with her chameleon-like style. Here, she also went for a menswear-inspired statement with a navy suit that kept an edge with its ’80s slouch and rolled-up sleeves, paired back to stacks of colourful bangles, a “foxy” chain necklace and a T-shirt that playfully illustrated Rita’s new British BFF and model of the moment, “Queen” Cara Delevingne. The white version of those peep-toe wedges also made an appearance, as did a modernized bouffant-style ‘do.

Topshop Fall 2013 Front Row

The Topshop Unique Fall 2013 show took place in London yesterday afternoon and they invited their favourite celebs to take in the new collection.

Kate Bosworth: Decked out head-to-toe in Topshop, the actress wore a fluffy grey Topshop Unique sweater which she styled with a darker grey sequinned Unique mini skirt. Opting to keep her look monotone, she accessorized with a black Topshop clutch and simple black pumps. Neutral makeup and a top-knot provided the finishing touches. Did this look need some colour to lift it? Or are you happy with this look as it is?

Olivia Palermo: As you would expect from Olivia, she wore a mixture of brands for her front-row look. A cosy Tibi fur jacket, worn over her layered Topshop sheer blouse and white sequinned Tibi top, was accented with a white leather belt. I love the print on the Topshop cropped pants, which livened up the look, as did her Whistles yellow python clutch. Monika Chang black ankle-strap pumps with a white heel accessorized her look. Olivia’s longer wavy tresses perfectly framed her face, with kohl-rimmed eyes, pink lips and a red manicure completing her look beauty-wise.

Pixie Geldof: The star wore a blue-and-white floral-print Topshop Boutique dress. I’m not at all surprised to see her carrying her animal-print Dolce & Gabbana clutch, because she rarely hits the red carpet without one piece of her look consisting of a Dolce piece. Masculine patent leather loafers, gold jewels and a two-tone manicure completed her look.

Victoria Pendleton In Emilia Wickstead - Royal Ascot Launch

Victoria Pendleton has pretty much worn Stella McCartney exclusively since the 2012 London Olympics, but she opted for a different designer this afternoon whilst launching the 2013 Royal Ascot campaign, ‘The Colour and the Glory’.

Brightening up a miserable day in London’s Hyde Park, she donned the Sloane Street, ‘Ladies who Lunch’ favourite, Emilia Wickstead.

Her white, long-sleeve, boat neck, flared dress from the designers Spring 2013 collection was styled with a beautiful pink orchid accented Philip Treacy lavender hat.

I love hat and the dress; both are perfect for such an occasion, but those shoes…*sighs*…I don’t think they are as elegant as everything north of her ankles.

The Royal Ascot will take place this year from June 18th – 22nd.

Jessica Ennis was joined by many other stars who took to the red carpet at the ExCel in London last night for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards.

Ellie Simmonds: The swimmer wore a flattering brightly coloured watermelon sleeveless dress, which she styled with cream platform pumps and a silver beaded clutch.

Jade Jones: Like Jessica, Jade also wore a Victoria Beckham dress, but hers was from the Victoria, Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 collection. The silk-jacquard and brocade mini dress showed off the toned legs of the gold-winning Taekwondo Olympian. Both her black accessories shimmered with a touch of sparkle, with a bright-red lip colour completing her look.

Victoria Pendleton: The cyclist is yet to meet a Stella McCartney dress she doesn’t like. She has pretty much worn the British designer exclusively since the 2012 Olympics. On this occasion she opted for a body-con fit dress with a flounced hemline, which she styled with those horrific Stella McCartney heels with a white platform and a tri-colour shoulder bag.

Katie Melua: I wasn’t expecting to see the singer at this event. She wore a David Koma Fall 2012 silk-jacquard belted dress with a shapely sheer yoke. You may remember that Maria Sharapova wore the same dress on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon back in August.
