Victoria Beckham & THE OUTNET.COM Present A Charity Sale To Benefit mothers2mothers

Victoria Beckham Head Shot

Victoria Beckham and THE OUTNET.COM have partnered to sell more than 600 items of her clothing in aid of the charity, mothers2mothers.

In February this year, following an invitation from Anna Wintour and American Vogue to visit South Africa, Victoria met with mothers2mothers (m2m) founder Dr. Mitch Besser. The charity trains, employs and empowers Mentor Mothers, who are mothers living with HIV, in order to educate them on how to prevent the transmission of HIV from mothers to babies and improve the health of women and their families. Victoria was so moved by the experience that she wanted to do all she could to raise money and awareness.

“After spending just a few days with these remarkable women and learning more about the charity from Mitch, and his lovely wife Annie Lennox, I wanted to do as much as I could. It really was a life-changing experience; I’ve never experienced anything like it”, said Victoria

The designer felt that a sale of items from her wardrobe could be an incredibly powerful way to raise both money and awareness. With help from her mother and sister, Victoria carefully selected iconic pieces from her wardrobe – pieces from her early days with the Spice Girls, that she wore out with David Beckham, and from catwalk appearances, parties, awards shows and other events that have been heavily documented and photographed by the world’s press.

“I laughed a lot when we were going through my wardrobe as the pieces hold so many happy memories for me, David and the children. A lot of the clothes have been specially designed for me by the most talented designers and I’ve loved wearing them, however I now feel it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy them.”

The Victoria Beckham Charity Sale for mothers2mothers will be available exclusively at www.theoutnet.com/vbcharitysale from August 20th-25th, 2014.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham, David Beckhmam In Ralph Lauren & Jennifer Lopez In Atelier Versace

Best Dressed Of The Week - Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham, David Beckhmam In Ralpha Lauren & Jennifer Lopez In Atelier Versace

Victoria Beckham was your best dressed this week for her multi-coloured dress which gave us a sneak preview of her Pre-Spring 2015 collection.

As always, she is her own best brand ambassador.

My pick was Jennifer Lopez. It was JLo at her very best, wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2014 strapless hybrid jumpsuit/gown.

Even though this was somewhat by default, as he was the only menswear look last week, David Beckham was the best dressed male, which I am sure he would’ve won anyway if he had been competing against 9 other guys.

Ralph Lauren suits and David Beckham are clearly a match made in fashion heaven.

The Beckhams took their seats in the Royal Box on Centre Court for the Men’s Singles Final match between Roger Federer of Switzerland and Novak Djokovic of Serbia on Day Thirteen of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships on Sunday (July 6) in London, England.

David Beckham: The former soccer star was looking super sharp as always, wearing yet another Ralph Lauren look, this one consisting of a navy Polo Ralph Lauren double-breasted blazer, chinos, printed tie, pocket square and white shirt. This look is just as swoon-worthy as the first.

Victoria Beckham: Giving us a sneak peek at her Resort 2015 collection, the designer wore a sporty navy V-neck frock with wavy stripes of white, orange and burgundy styled with a Victoria Beckham navy clutch. She of course had her trademark shades, with a burgundy cardigan on hand should temperatures drop in the stadium. I love the mix of colours. It’s not often we get to see VB in colour, so I am lapping up this moment.

Victoria Beckham for Vogue UK August 2014

august-2014-vogue-1jul14-mag_b

Victoria Beckham graces not one, but two covers for the August 2014 issue of Vogue UK, which was shot by Patrick Demarchelier in the English countryside.

Opting for a rustic look, the designer wears Prada and Chanel outfits.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

Having turned 40 this year and with the first flagship store opening soon, the designer has much to celebrate.

On turning 40: “I looked at it [turning 40] and said to myself, I have four incredible children, an incredible husband, a business that’s doing very well. I’ve worked hard and achieved a lot. I don’t think I could have achieved much more.”

On the support from her husband: “I couldn’t be where I am without David. He gives me the security and encouragement to do what I do. I do the same for him.”

On not having any regrets: “Well I wouldn’t do anything differently. I’ve always worked hard and had a lot of fun, so there’s nothing I would change.”

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham – Out In New York City

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham - Out In New York City

Victoria Beckham was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Tuesday (June 10).

Giving us a flash of bright colour, the designer modeled a traffic-stopping coral-red frock from her Fall 2014 collection.

With a peekaboo slit on one side and a substantial metal chain slung from the other, the midi dress delivered a dash of sultriness and edge to embolden the more demure silhouette.

Continuing the rose-coloured theme, Victoria paired the look with a slightly different shade of Manolo Blahnik red pumps, along with a pair of chic, oversized sunglasses.

Victoria Beckham – Out In New York City

Victoria Beckham - Out In New York City

Victoria Beckham was spotted in New York City leaving her hotel en route to a meeting on Monday (June 9).

Looking uber stylish as always, the designer was surprisingly not wearing black.

Her floral-print frock with a black and white printed lining and sheer panel on the shoulder could be a sneak peak at either her yet-to-be-revealed Victoria, Victoria Beckham Fall 2014 collection, which she is in town to showcase, or her Victoria Beckham Resort 2015 collection.

I am guessing the former, due to the darker Fall-like hues.

The wrap-style dress was styled with maroon accessories including her signature double-wrap belt, a Victoria Beckham zipper clutch and patent-leather pumps.

VB shades and a simple ponytail completed her look.

The day before, Victoria arrived to JFK wearing a simple light-blue striped shirt with a pencil skirt in the same floral print on the front and a black panel at the back.
